So are there people working on arbitrage recently ?

It's very tempting !

I'm been doing arbitrage and making about $200-$250 a day after all fees when there is a 5% difference between exchanges (which is common these days).

I won't give away my secrets though. See if you can figure out how.
OKpay?

Actually a couple of ways to do and pick whatever is the best for that day. okpay -> btc-e is one way though.

The trick is getting the money out.

mgio can you tell me how you fund your OKPAY account??

Hmm, a second, tiny 0.01 BTC withdrawal just went without a hitch.

Bitcoin withdrawals are going fine, don't know about fiat withdrawals though as I haven't done that lately.

I've been waiting for a 1 BTC withdrawal for over 48 hours. According to the transaction history the payment has been made, but it's not showing up in the block chain. I'm also not getting any response from support beyond their first standard email acknowledging receipt of the complaint, despite a reminder I sent yesterday and one I sent just now. I'm very annoyed at how this is being handled.

Not sure what is going on with your withdrawal, but I just withdrew 1 BTC and I got it in my wallet within 60 seconds.

Well, waiting 48 hours for a 1 BTC withdrawal seems ridiculous. And their online transaction history screen says the payment has already been made, which is clearly not true. When did you last withdraw any BTC?

I think the larger bitcoin withdrawal, the more time they sit on it to process it. Because i've withdrawn 1 btc and it went through in like 5 min, then had to wait an hour for a 20 btc withdrawal. Why they do this, i don't know.

I'd be very careful about dealing with Bitstamp, for the past couple of days a number of people,  myself included,  have been having trouble making even small withdrawals. Beyond a stock acknowledgement of a support ticket we're not getting any response from their support department. I wouldn't send any money until this is resolved if I were you.

as you can see Bitstamp is at 9k+ while MtGox sits at 20.8k for the past 24h. That's about 44%. Yesterday Bitstamp's volume was at 40% of that of Gox.

Things are really looking up for Bitstamp with the increased liquidity and a huge 5.3% spread to attract fiat and more traders.  If I were buying in today, there's no doubt I'd be sending the wire or SEPA to bitstamp, not gox.  Here's to hoping the Gox monopoly ends soon!  Even if the arbitrage opportunity is gone before my funds get to Bitstamp, I'm pretty sure I'm going to like bitstamp more than Gox.  Gox is like an awkward cousin: they may be family, but you can't wait to get away from them ASAP.

more like 30% also mtgox price goes up not down so mtgox buyers beat any arbitrage sellers

Where did you get those numbers from? I'm seeing 20k 24h volume for MtGox vs 8.7k for Bitstamp. That's almost 50%.

You're comparing the volume of a day that's only a few hours old. This chart http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/currency/USD.html shows the volume of the past 24h and as you can see Bitstamp is at 9k+ while MtGox sits at 20.8k for the past 24h. That's about 44%. I was really suprised by how close bitstamp and mt.gox is now. Good to see other exchanges not $10+ behind mt. gox.

Jack of oh so many trades.
There doesn't have to be any risk. Have double the amount of bitcoins you wish to sell. Transfer one set first. Buy and sell at the same time. Then transfer the second set over. Repeat.

how would you move the fiat from Gox to Bitstamp?

I believe in this situation "transfer over" means withdraw to your bank account and then send a wire transfer from your bank account to the next exchange. Would probably take at least a week or so and you would incur more fees.

RUM AND CARROTS: A PIRATE LIFE FOR ME
Profit margins are too small for the risk
For example if u move 5k u only have an 18$ profit after all the fees and commissions. Is that really worth the risk of losing a lot more in the event of a sudden price drop? Because who knows what might happen when your bitcoins take an hour to transfer to Gox.
