I'm amused that they require 300dpi, but then also put a 5MB file size limit on the image.  O.o

Horrendous service with Bitstamp. I sent a 300dpi scan of my driver's license, front/back. Rejected because they require 300dpi. Sent a 500dpi. Rejected because they require 300dpi. I don't get it and I'm done with them. Verification with Coinbase took me less than 10 minutes. I submitted a ticket with support at Bitstamp with the exact files I sent for verification asking them exactly what was wrong with either file. Roll Eyes

I have verified my account with my ID card and an Letter from the Court and now this:

Dear Robert,

We received your withdrawal request. As your withdrawal request met some of our volume and frequency thresholds, we will have to kindly ask you to help us better understand the nature of your relationship with Bitstamp. In order to do so, we require that an additional KYC (know your customer) procedure is completed before we can proceed with the processing of your transfer.
We kindly ask you to send us a high resolution image double page of your international passport via our support ticket system: https://www.bitstamp.net/support/

Best regards,

I got same message from bitstamp. WFT is going on? They frozen my money from 25.11. I need to do something with it but it's frozen. They don't answer on support ticket. If they don't want transfer it why they don't cancel withdraw on my request :/

My accaunt on bitstamp is verified and now they want again passport which is out of date right now. It's some kind of joke?

Unfortunately Bitstamp don't seem to be processing any withdrawals.
Why do you believe this to be the case?

If you are lacking utility bills in your name/address, a simple landlord contract (search for a template) with your name/address on it should work.

i'm really sad about mt.gox, btc-e and bitstamp each requiring ID and everything. I thought BC would be more easily traded, but it's a big hassle to even register in the first place.

Dear Bitcoin community

Does anybody know, how long the verification process at bitstamp.net takes?

Thanks for your help

Couple of days to for them to reject it. Then you have to contact support and they will verify it within a few hours Roll Eyes.

Haha.. quite. Exactly same as happened me. But I got rejected 1st after 2 days. Resubmitted.. rejected again.

Wrote to support, pointing out that my documetns did contain all reqested information and about 1 day later they verified me.

So, if you do get rejected and you are sure your documetns are in order, get on to thier support.
