The more research I do into bitstamp the more I think I'm freaking out unneccessarily.   Roll Eyes

We apologize sincerely but we have become victims of our own success I'm afraid.

Bitcoin's rise in popularity has really been great for us and while we know this is in no way an excuse but we increased our user base over 50% in the last two weeks. We also rolled out a new support system and a new account verification system which left us with many duplicate messages and the delays in promptly addressing all these tickets caused more tickets which now snowballed into a serious backlog.

However we fully intend to solve this with our recently increased number of new support agents.

The guys running the show have either put a huge amount of work into a monstrously elaborate deception and are about to make off with millions of btc or, perhaps more likely, I'm just being a bit jumpy having just sent the largest sum of someone else's money, I've ever sent anywhere.

I know that a simple reply to anyone of my forms of contact would go a long way towards settling mine and others fears and would likely put an end to all this negative press.

I have just pm'd "hazek" on here as he appears to be affiliated with them in one form or another, last online a few hours ago. Will let you know if I hear anything back.

if bitstamp are listening, maybe its a good idea to at least acknowledge receipt of support request.
26 hours and no response to support request, what gives?

SEPA transfers can take a few days. My deposit to Bitstamp took 2 days.

In my case, the SEPA transfer was pretty fast. I did on a thursday, my bank office confirmed it on friday and the next monday the money was on Bitstamp.

Now I have a pending withdrawal with them that is taking a little more...
i did the sepa on thursday, transferwise confirmed the money had been sent on friday, now its past tuesday and nothing on bitstamp, not even an email acknowledgement, or supoort response.
what worries me is that something has gone ary with my transaction and I feel i have no point of contact for a resolution.

I keep telling myself that going by the size of their orderbook that it's nothing more than sloppy customer service, but my spidey senses are tingling and not in a good way.

Thanks for the reassurrance though, I need a bit of positivity after the day I've had so far.

I just received a sepa payment from them and there is one more being processed.

Up till now I have had nothing but good experience with them. Withdrew 5 figures in $ over the last 2 months alone....

Support tickets were always answered within 48hrs and usually faster

I wouldn't despair yet Smiley

If this turns out to be the case, does anyone know what the best way to approach this is. funds left my bank account this morning and presumably landed with them shortly after. I've tried my bank but nothing they can do, how would I go about notifying their bank to freeze their account? bear in mind it's in Slovenia so I suspect there may be a language gap.

Any help greatly appreciated as I'm on the verge of freaking out.

I've seen multiple threads like this around the web, not looking good for bitstamp customers. Hope you guys get your money.

I too am having serious concerns about the lack of contact from these people, over 24hrs and nothing at all back. Beginning to get pretty worried about this. I've e-mailed [email protected] a couple of times today as I found this on the bitstamp thread and have heard nothing back. Posted on facebook page as well as filing a few support tickets.

also hoping for reassurance Sad

how long should it take to fund a Bitstamp account?

I have transferred using Transferwise and they say the money was sent early friday morning 5th april, nothing in my bitstamp account.
no response from support (19 hours and waiting)

now it maybe that this delay is normal (don't want to unnecessarily scare anyone) or it may not be normal. can anyone reassure or advise me.
