I guess there are to reasons.
One of them is Trump

They don't let me withdraw my funds and are forcing me to send a copy of my id and a selfy which i deny before they don't answer my questions
1.Where their main office is located
2.Where my copy of ID will be stored
3.How it will be stored and protected
4.If they take full liability for loosing my copy to a third party

Since they deny to answer these questions i deny to send a copy of my ID.I choosed a basic membership with full intention to not be forced to send a copy of my ID to a company like Bittrex which denys to answer these simple questions.

Asking if i get Bitcoin Gold for the BTC which is stucked at Bittrex lead to an instant ban.
I personally have given it all, because I have a pretty good fund in bittrex and my account was locked by bittrex for the wrong mistake I made and I realized it. I do not think in detail like you, because I just want the funds I save on bittrex I can control again, until now I still use bittrex and I have no problem with the identity that I have given to bittrex. I know bittrex has stood for a long time so I trust them.

Is this happening to everyone?
I can log in and use my account at Bittrex without any problems. If all that it requires is verification then I have no issue with that.

I am lucky because i never deposited a single penny in that shitty exchange, i am glad of it. But i have a friend who had the same issue, bittrex is very shady at the moment, i think that there is not too much time left until bittrex closes it doors, if they didnt did it yet, is only because they are making a lot of money because of their fees. But a lot of websites using bitcoins are doing the same, like coinbase, wirex, and bitwala.
I dont know the real reeason of it.

Are you sure? Do you know anyone with enhanced verification that are getting accounts locked? It could be because they have two accounts, maybe an old one without verification and new one with verification.

That doesn't really make sense. If people operate 2 accounts, from which 1 is fully verified, and the other not, the non verified account would get 'locked' in worst case, and the other not. It's very weird what's going on lately with Bittrex -- that non verified new accounts can get locked is quite understandable, but that even accounts with the highest verification get locked is very weird, softly said. At first it seemed only to affect a few users, but this is spreading like a plague. What people were complaining about with Poloniex, is now happening with Bittrex. Roll Eyes

What is Bittrex and bitcoin gold?
bittrex is exchange, where you can exchange bitcoins with other coins which is called altcoins (without Bitcoin all the coins are altcoins).
And Bitcoin gold is another altcoin will come after bitcoin hardfork.

Bittrex is shutting down accounts for no reason don't just know what's happening to them.

They put out a statement and explained their actions. I'm not sure that rumors are helpful.

I don't see why people so averse to ID verification.. Its a legal requirement so that they can stay operational..
About trusting the exchanges, if you can trust them with your trade volumes than why not with IDs?

Because they are not exactly a reputable exchange. Very few exchanges have the reputation and licensing that justifies giving them government ID, selfies, SSNs, etc. Gemini, Coinbase, maybe Bitstamp.

But Bittrex? That's a joke, right? Does anyone even know who runs this company? Do we know anything about them besides their virtual office address which is used for service of process? I don't even like to give my SSN to banks, for fear that they will have their data compromised. Bittrex and similar exchanges are a ticking time bomb for data theft, if not cryptocurrency hacks.

Also, it's important to note that this isn't just about verification. People with Enhanced Verification already on their accounts are having accounts locked. There is more going on here and it's concerning that Bittrex isn't forthright at all with the details.

Me too, i'm trying to avoin any ico or exchange asking for private information and id scan. The idea behind decentralizing is that you don't have to verify anything for anybody.

That's not the idea behind decentralizing ...  Centralization/decentralization is about control...

Bittrex has a lot and lot of issues and stuff going on,they are on a serious review mode and they are banning so many people and hell they are taking the money stored in it along with them also if I am not mistaken. At least give a fair warning to people ,bittrex. That's not the way you need to go for, youre creating a bad impression in people's minds ,after all you have risen up so high and arrogance might take all that away.
Answers to people's requests please, for all I know they might be in desperate need.. I really have good thoughts on bittrex and by trying to do something good as an intention don't let attitude to take over it. I hope you people get access to your accounts back, all I can do is pray and write down a support ticket, nothing else sadly.

Yes I agree all the exchanges require you to submit your national id for you to trade on them and in fact it's not the exchanges themselves but the government force them to do so and as long as we have to stay there on such exchanges I don't think we can do anything much but do what we are asked to. I deposited some btc on bittrex long ago and even till today I never made a withdrawal request yet just a few days when I saw a thread here on btctalk regarding bittrex needing us to submit our national id I tried to login and I found I myself had to go through all that verification process so it's in compliance with the government guidelines for the operation of such exchanges that they are doing so and we can't do anything much about that.

One option is that you pull out your funds in small chunks..

Basic Accounts: 3 BTC (or equivalent) per day with two-factor enabled.

Are you talking about BitcoinGold obtained from airdrop?
I think bittrex has no connection with bitcoin gold.
Of course bittrex class companies have offices, but chances are you do not know details about bittrex yet

Technically speaking, this is a good move on the part of Bittrex. I mean requiring identification only further legitimizes their business.

If you read up on the numerous recent threads there are more than enough fully verified people in non evil countries who've been locked out of their accounts too.

Normally I'd assume that the whiners were incompetent or dishonest, but there are so many of them coming from so many different channels that it's clear something very abnormal is going on.

your country should not matter when you already had an account and were trading and also depositing and also withdrawing fine! and doing all that for years.
if they changed their mind about their rules it is not the users' fault, their accounts should not be banned nor closed, they should have been given a warning so that they could withdraw and leave bittrex! and the rest who were fine with the "new rules" stuck around.

as long as we using acct at bittrex for doing trading nothing illegal, i don't worried about it.
some exchanges also required id verification for open limitation of deposit and withdraw, so its could be standard to avoid money laundry i guess.

Maybe they are right to do this, because they think security is more important to avoid the unwanted things of crime, to keep the convenience of users who want to trade on their site, maybe in this way they think it will be safe from someone who wants to break into your account .

Is it only for bitcoin or all coin withdrawals? You can try converting your btc to another altcoin and then withdrawing those, or moving them to a less secure exchange to convert back to btc.
