So that means they are hashing for the profit before shipping them out to customers to make their profits.

blackarrow's initial announcement said that there would be no profit in batch 1. He also said they are doing refunds from the margin. Anyone's guess right now.

These will never ever ROI if paid by BTC.  For a may delivery they should be priced at 1 btc, and even then you would only net +3 btc

This totally blows. i just ordered another 20 units yesterday.

The delay is only for Batch 1. If you have ordered 20 units yesterday you are in Batch 2 and not affected by this delay.

Maybe they can use the bitfury? For the meantime, until they deliver the prosperos, Instead of increasing the power of our hashspeeds. Can we propose this to them?
I wonder if they would ship me a few of there 40ghash bitfury devices as a customer service resolution for the interim.  They won't be worth much after May anyway, and it looks like they are trying to get rid of them. I would trade 500 Ghash extra for 4 months starting in May for 80-100 Ghash tomorrow.

I agree. What I really wonder is if the resellers were also aware of this. I, for one, wouldn't have wanted to be a part of that mess knowing that information. Of course I still bought in, obviously, and also with a reseller. I have not heard anything from the reseller yet (also Batch 1) on the delay, so I am thinking that BA did not even bother to inform its resellers. Ah well, just like my first BFL purchase it is time to consider this a sunk cost and go about my business. When they arrive I'll be pleasantly surprised and happy with any return I can get.

Mainly I'm interested in replacing a blade setup before summer comes and I have to deal with the heat.

Totally disappointed with the delay! Black Arrow must refund a part of the whole price for those who ordered the product or must refund any customer request for that matter.

Well they said and i quote:

"we came to the conclusion that it is in the best interest of our customers to delay shipping in order to ensure that the product provides the best-possible user experience"


We need the miner in February or March not in May! Doesn't matter if it is only 80-100 gh/s just continue with your original plan!

Anyone know when the Rent-Some-Minions cloud program for 4 months @ 25% of purchase power will start? It would be nice if they started that at the original delivery date.

They can't do that if they don't have any.  If they have them, they'd ship them.
