Black Friday is coming on 26 November this year and we got used to have special deals and discounts each year, but looks like this time it will be a bit different situation because of global chip shortage.

Trezor released a blog post informing everyone in advance they are not going to offer any discounts for hardware wallets for this Black Friday.
From November 22 until 29 they are offering discounts only for physical backups from Cryptosteel/Cryptotag, and for silicone cases/lanyards...
Only discount they offer now is -13% for Trezor Model T reservation.
https://blog.trezor.io/trezor-black-friday-deals-2021-6550e15305ac

Ledger is not going to have any Black Friday discounts according to this reddit post from their support, but that is not yet officially confirmed from Ledger:
https://www.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/qwsyhf/no_black_friday_sales_this_year/

It was a big disappointment when it comes to the black friday deals on the hardware wallet. The two largest companies Trezor and Ledger did not come up with any discounts and deals.
I was waiting on the black friday deals to buy cheap hardware wallet but now it look like i need to wait more. Sad
Even if they do not come up with any discounts, I am sure sooner or later, they will give that to promote their hardware wallet to many new people in the next year. But sometimes, some resellers at Amazon or other online shops can give a discount, although not much so that still worth to us if we want to buy the hardware wallet. Besides that, we have another chance to see the other discount from them because we have a new year event which they can use to provide the big discount sale for their hardware wallet.

Just found another one from a new hardware wallet: 10% off [with "Holiday10" code - source] for Arculus™: Secure Cold Storage Wallet [it expires on the 31st of December]
Note: Without getting into too much detail, I'd like to point out that despite their claims about being an air-gapped wallet, they're actually "NOT" air-gapped!
Thank you SFR10, I am adding this Black Friday deal, BUT important thing for this hardware wallet.... it is working ONLY in United States and you can purchase it only if you live there.
That means, if you buy this wallet in US and cross border in Mexico or any other country, your Arculus wallet app stops working!  Roll Eyes
I would not suggest anyone to spend their money on hardware wallet device like this, discount or without discount.

No, the Arculus Wallet app will only work within the US.

No, the Arculus Key card is only available for shipment within the US.

So, let me know if there is any trusted site to buy Ledger with a black Friday discount.
Check out the post I made above regarding Black Friday offers from https://cryptomaan.nl/. It's one of Ledger's official resellers based in Belgium and the Netherlands. If it doesn't have to be a Nano X wallet, he will get a decent discount with €14 off of the Nano S. Since you mentioned two devices, he would be saving €28 in total. But you have to check if the site ships the items wherever it is that you and your friend are located.

I am not worried about data leaks nor want to mix them with the user device. Since it doesn't affect using the device I am fine. I feel comfortable with the Ledger and I know very well how to use it which will help me explain to my colleague how to use that. Since I am using that usually my colleague is interested to buy a ledger. Yea, I am visiting official website and I am aware of phishing attempt. Thanks.

So if you have the discount code then it would be helpful for him. Most probably he will buy next Saturday since there is no black Friday for Ledger LOL. Sent you PM.

I doubt you can find a reliable site that will give a discount that Ledger officially does not have this year - but from what I read in the link from the OP about Ledger, it seems that you can get a 20% discount if you buy the device by applying discount codes. I'll just say that I'm not promoting Ledger from the data leak scandal, and that if you decide to take this step, be careful not to click on the phishing link.

Quite disappointing for me. I had suggested one of my colleagues buy a hardware wallet to store his funds, currently, he has been using a web wallet and exchange to store his cryptocurrency assets. He wasn't aware of a hardware wallet or non-custodial wallet, but I convinced him to buy it a month ago and suggested he buy it during the Black Friday offer. So he waits till now for Ledger black Friday offer.

I came to this board to know if there is any offer to buy a ledger. My colleagues intend to buy two devices, one for using and one for backup. I was surprised when visit the ledger website since there is no information about the black Friday offer. This post made me disappointed. Tomorrow my colleague has the plan to buy a ledger, but unfortunately no black Friday offer. Even in Amazon ledger office store stockout Ledger X. It's hard to trust any other site to buy the ledger.

So, let me know if there is any trusted site to buy Ledger with a black Friday discount.

Yeah, the prices are similar like with the official manufacturers. The only noteworthy discount from the site I posted is the Nano S, which is €14 cheaper than on the official site. The Nano X is €3 off, but many people agree that purchasing that device wouldn't be the best thing considering everything that has been happening with it recently.

They have a few other hardware wallets in their store including Trezor, Passport, etc.
There are other similar shops who offer their own Black Friday discounts but there is not much difference with regular price of hardware wallets on official website.
For example, Indian shop etherbit.in is offering black friday deals until 29 November, 30% for ledger, 10% for Bitbox and 23% for cryptotag metal plates.
After calculation you will see that ledger nano s is now 4900 Rupies or 59 euros, same price like in official ledger website, so you are only saving on shipping maybe.
Bitbox is 10800 Rupies or 129 Euros, but you can purchase Bitbox directly from official website for €107 now.

https://www.etherbit.in/

Safepal posted their Black Friday offer, but it's probably one of the worst deals I saw this year for hardware wallets.
They offer 20% OFF for Cypher plate when you purchase Safepal wallet, or they give you free leather case when you buy two Safepal wallet, and they have some t-shirt giveway  Roll Eyes

I found some deals on the Dutch site https://cryptomaan.nl/. This site is an official reseller for Ledger and you can find them in their reseller's network if you type in their name in the search bar provided at https://www.ledger.com/reseller.

The link to their hardware wallet offer is here > https://cryptomaan.nl/collections/hardware-wallets/.

They are offering a 10% discount on the Nano X and a 30% discount on the Nano S. The Nano X is available for €116 (the official Ledger store shows a price of €119 currently), and the Nano S costs €45 (the official Ledger store price is €59 currently).

The BitBox 02 is also on a 10% discount. The Bitcoin only and Multi editions are available for €107.
Another item on discount is the CRYPTOTAG - Zeus Starter Kit. It's available for €99 with a 23% discount.

They have a few other hardware wallets in their store including Trezor, Passport, etc.

Trezor has reduced the prices for 20% on all of their products.
No they don't.
You are NOT reading it correctly, and I already wrote before that Trezor have discounts BUT only on their accessories (metal plate backups, silicone cases/lanyards, etc) and NOT on hardware wallet devices.
Same thing is written in that blog article you quoted in your post, and you can also verify that on their website.

Trezor has reduced the prices for 20% on all of their products. Discount will last from 16:00 CET/10:00 EST November 22 and will continue until November 29 as long as stocks last.

Since Ledger is greedy this year and Trezor has been its main rival, and one of the best and popular wallets on the market, I suggest not to postpone a purchase for later.

Tangem is also running Black Friday discounts[1] up to 40 % off
Thank you for submission but this makes no sense to me, because looking at price for Tangem Twin on their old BlackFriday page it shows $109,
but on regular page you can purchase same Tangem Twin cards for $99.90 that is cheaper price than on their old discount page.
It's only 4 days left and they don't have much time to post some new deals, but I am following bitcoinblackfriday page and I will post any updates in this topic.

Quick update for your topic @dkbit98:

  • Hardware Wallet - Tangem is also running Black Friday discounts[1] up to 40 % off

I've also found this Twitter alias[2] - BitcoinBFriday - that leads to this[3] website that may eventually have something of interest to add on this thread. I reckon that the account was created early 2020 but it seems that the way they work is that they accept submissions[4] from vendors that eventually will show up closer to the Black Friday date. If you look at either the Twitter account or the website you'll see that it's being hosted/created by Coinkite, so I assume that it's legit. May be worth keeping an eye on it in the coming days...

Thanks for suggesting this.
I added Ellipal to the list even if I wouldn't suggest anyone buying this wallet, just trying to be as neutral as possible and posting all Black Friday deals for hardware wallets.
You're very welcome... Same here [I have to admit, that was probably the third time that I've revisited their landing page after bookmarking it and I only did it for the sake of this thread]!

Interesting idea from BitBox team but this 50% discount is only valid for 3 random people, and it would be much better if they gave those devices totally free.
People keep asking them about Black Friday deals but they keep quite, and this is just a poor replacement for real discounts.
You have a point, but I have good news... They just confirmed through email that there'll be some Black Friday deals [screenshot] Smiley

Ellipal has a $60 off Black Friday deal for their "ELLIPAL Titan [$109]" hardware wallet (promo runs from Nov 18th - Nov 26th).
Thanks for suggesting this.
I added Ellipal to the list even if I wouldn't suggest anyone buying this wallet, just trying to be as neutral as possible and posting all Black Friday deals for hardware wallets.

It's worth noting that there's also "an ongoing 50% off deal for a Bitbox02 hardware wallet [three devices and no limits on the number of devices each person could get]".
Interesting idea from BitBox team but this 50% discount is only valid for 3 random people, and it would be much better if they gave those devices totally free.
People keep asking them about Black Friday deals but they keep quite, and this is just a poor replacement for real discounts.

Does anyone know any news about problems receiving any of the famous hardware wallets? Problems in supply chains, shipping or other? Because the offers were mostly, buy two and get the third for free or a 30%-40% discount. It's strange that there are such meagre cuts. Huh
I pretty much explained it all in first sentence of this thread and you can also read the links I posted for more explanation.
