Just asking out of curiosity, why a newbie who bring constructive discussion don't deserve to get that 1 merit

Because, newbies earn 3-4 merits if they bring constructive discussions. Not just 1. I don't eliminate them, you just haven't read my policy properly.
Oh my bad, Yes I didn't read it properly Lips sealed

Newbies get special treatment that is what they deserved to be.  SmileySmiley

Just asking out of curiosity, why a newbie who bring constructive discussion don't deserve to get that 1 merit, it kay be your own policy which I am not denying that but wanted to know is there any particular reason why you eliminated newbies in your first policy itself because newbies are the one who need more merits than anyone. I recently became a merit source and I feel that I kinda have a responsibility to this forum now; to distribute merits objectively and make high-quality writers differ from spammers. That's why I chose to write a list of the way I distinguish a merit-deserving post, the amount of merits it deserves plus some policy rules. .

Merit distribution.

1-2 merits
  • If your reply deserves a “like” or if I agree with it.
  • If you reply to someone properly and shortly.
  • If I want to thank you.

3-5 merits
  • If you ask something that will bring constructive discussion.
  • If I learn something from you that I didn't know before.
  • If you correct someone (including me) in a post that has made a technical mistake.
  • If you reply constructively and smartly.

6+ merits
  • If you create a useful thread for a certain subject.
  • If there's an excellent writeup.
  • If your post really assisted me.

Policy rules.

1. I don't sell merits. If you dare to ask me such thing, you'll get negative feedback.
2. Same applies for begging, but with neutral feedback.
3. I won't accept meriting posts after you've recommended them to me in PMs.
