Thanks for the help

Up and running at the moment .. I am using BTC Guild Pool ..is that a good decision, or would i benefit from Slush's pool more ?

One quick question for those using BTC Pool ..

Within the worker there is a minimum difficulty by default it is on 4 ...

Should I leave it as is if mining with 1x Antminer S1 ? Does it make a difference ?

Many thanks.

Great, that fills me with confidence Smiley

New to mining so I think this will be a good unit to get me into it and just have a "play" around ..

As long as I dont loose too much money i'll be happy.

Thanks for the help.

yes it is a good starter miner and there are more then one thread on setup.

it restarts after a blackout.

it allows for 3 pools in case a pool drops .

Great,

I have managed to pick one up with around 8 weeks use for £125 ..

Is that a good enough deal ?

Cheers.

Not a bad deal.  Since this next jump will be minimal you might make your money back.  Don't expect a profit.  if it comes it will be icing on the cake.

Thanks guys, Antminer S1 it looks like it is then !

Will try and find one cheaper ... so they are worth around £200ish then ?

And would I make my money back + profit before the difficulty got too hard ?

Cheers.

Personally I would chose the Antminer S1. It looks like in a few days you'll probably be able to pick one up on Ebay ~$150.

Either way you have to have a PSU on, by looking at the Block Erupter Cube setup. It would seem the best use of power would be the S1.

Yeh that price was used and included vat (eBay)

Would you say the block erupter cube is not worth it now ? Due to the difficulty ?

Would you suggest an antminer S1 as the bare minimum ?

Will try and source one cheaper what sort out price would you say I should be looking at ?

Cheers.

I know you have VAT but 225 pounds sounds was overpriced for the S1, especially since most people are having to undervolt/underclock them now.  Try looking in the marketplace and buy one locally - should be a lot cheaper.

Hi.

Just getting back into mining after previously mini in with GPU.

I can get 2x block erupter cubes for £125 or an antminer s1 for £225

What would you guys go for ? I can see that the antminer hashes a lot higher, but is it worth the initial investment ?

Any help appreciated.
