Uber lost their appeal against Employment Tribunal Ruling in London this week, their 3rd attempt and now they are likely to appeal at Supreme Court.

Drivers were classified as workers and not self employed so Uber have to pay drivers min wage for London, holiday pay, sick pay etc amounting to millions of pounds. The Uber business model is now broken as they have all these extra costs.

Blockchain Cabs start operating in Swansea in January as a private hire operator and first taxi bookings should start the last week of January with a first year turnover of £1 million targeted with £200,000 net profit.

The android and IOS apps are nearly finished and will be tested January. Technology used in the business include react native ( we own the apps and do not rely on a third party) php, mysql, javascript, firebase.  Siteground will be the web hosting provider with its awesome reputation for reliability and security.

Taxi-swansea.co.uk is nearly finished and should go live end of January to enable the apps to be downloaded and drivers to join the platform and passengers to book via the apps, the app will have nearly all the features that Uber have.

Qtr 2 Blockchain Cabs plan to open in Cardiff, Qtr 3 open in Bristol and at some point in 2019 when the cryptocurrency market turns bullish the crowdsale will begin and bookings will start for taxis and private hire cars in London. The taxi market in UK is worth £11 billion.

The company will be owned by the drivers, passengers and investors who buy the BKCC coins, anyone driving or using the service can register for some free BKCC coins which they can trade at various cryptocurrency exchanges.

The target price of £100 for each coin is set for January 1st 2024.

Blockchain Cabs will be the first decentralized taxi company in the United Kingdom owned by the drivers and passengers with the increase in the BKCC coin price expected in the next 60 months leading to a substantial ROI for drivers, passengers and investors.

Font is too big and hard to read

Overview: Blockchain Cabs London

United Kingdom private hire/taxi market is worth £11 billion.

The business has been started by ex Uber and ex Addison Lee drivers in London.

The business will be owned by the drivers, customers and investors.

UK Unions will be offered part ownership of the business.

Uber and Addison Lee have lost their defence of all Employment Tribunal Claims and the Judges have ruled drivers are not self employed and are workers, so have to pay Holiday pay, sick pay, pensions etc, this will lead to their business models being broken (Oct 30th/31st Uber Final Appeal against Losing Employment Tribunal, Addison Lee later date tba).

Uber have only a 15 month Private Hire Operators Licence, and are loathed by the drivers as are Addison Lee ( Uber have a 1 star out of 5 rating on Trust Pilot as does Addison Lee, both are finding it very difficult to recruit new drivers).

The business will initially be a price comparison private hire/taxi service, then a private hire operator licence will be obtained once funds are in place from donations and ICO.

£2 per mile minimum drivers paid and drivers charged 15% commission on the total fare.

Drivers, passengers will receive coins the more miles they drive/use the service.

Sign up of Drivers to the business will be started the same way Uber started in London, drivers contacted in London where they hang out waiting for jobs: McDonalds, KFC, around Heathrow and well known cafes that the founders of Blockchain Cabs used when drivers.

3 Developers are working on the crowdsale website, company website and smart contract, more are needed and will be paid 5,000 BKCC Coins for 50 Lines of Code - Bootstrap is used on the websites.
