The world child porn is infused with so much negative emotions that I wouldn't be surprised if this whole incident was fabricated to make people hate bitcoin and blockchain.
We all know that if you want to destroy a person's image child porn works wonders. You can put drugs in his house, but this will just make him a sick addict who needs help. Put child porn there and nobody will look for excuses.

This is an angle in which authorities could find an excuse to make the entire blockchain illegal, this has been considered before as an attack vector or at least a social attack because nobody wants to be involved in such degeneracy.

Unfortunately, there are trolls out there that will keep doing this. Back in the day when transaction fees were extremely cheap, there were trolls out there sending child porn messages embedded in the transaction to public addresses, so when someone looks up your public address they would see that crap. There is nothing we can do about it, other than the fees going high enough to avoid that sort of spam, and it seems it worked because I have not seen too much of that again.

Gday all Smiley

Here are the facts -
child porn links, and files, and at least one image have been STORED RIGHT IN THE BLOCKCHAIN :

It's disappointing that so few posters here are aware of the facts.

it's just FUD to make bitcoin down, today I see a lot of FUD from every news and hacking in every exchange, and both of these factors dominate in creating a bearish market.

fake news always spreads to every crypto user, and changes their mindset, so they always think negative.

in the end, they become weak, pessimistic, and their hopes disappear.

so, I think we should not be easily provoked by such negative news.

This news is old. I read that someone attached the links or the photos themselves with child pornography and sent through the blockchain. I'm not an expert and I don't know if it's possible. But I am sure that these fakes are distributed by journalists in order to reduce the popularity of bitcoin. They're not gonna make it.

Any anti-advertising is good marketing for good advertising. Advertising this fake, journalists try to draw attention to their report. As they say on other people's bones want to earn a rating. You see that in the media. This is a bad thing.

Imaging a person making his/her living just with the help his/her digestive system. Their defecation and their shits are what they live with. They design their shits in many forms and then publish it in portals. And that's not they end of it, people come to see their shit and with their visits and tours people are making money. What an excellent economical venture.

There is no relation between the mining process in blockchain technology and child porn. The person that publish this news need to be school about blockchain. The reason this person will go free without been sue to court is because blockchain is not a corporate organization.

I sincerely hope that nonsense news won't be used for a legal settlement. Some governments are pretty furious about btc, so I can assume some of them may attempt pretty sly measures for killing it.

Not only that, I've been watching and hearing nonsense news about bitcoin in broadcasting media in my country, even though bitcoin status in my country is still neutral, but many social media give nonsense about bitcoin. Yes I am also not an expert in blockchain, but with such news will certainly have a negative impact on the cryptocurrency market.

This is really wired to hear. I don't understand the unresearched report regarding bitcoin. People have seen the value of bitcoin and the blockchain technology behind blockchain.

lol!  Journalists today are so stupid it hurts.  How in the world did news professionals fall into such low quality nonsense?
https://nypost.com/2018/03/21/blockchain-for-bitcoin-is-infected-with-child-porn/

Next time you read something from a field in which you are not an expert, you'll know the same level of extreme bullshit is likely there too.  wtf?
