it is insane from my perspective

Blockchain games are very popular these days. And day by day many new games comes to market. I have tried few of them and they are really good. A 1st gen blockchain games called eosknight was  very popular and it's very addictive. I played that for a long time. But the problem with blockchain games is it's not reaching the mass some how. It's limited to crypto users mostly. But i think in near future it will make is own follower base.

You need to pay to play Axies Infinity. Firstly you need at least 3 Axies (kind of Pokemon) to compose your team. Each Axie has different skills and attributes, so you need to check carefully before buying them in order to have a balanced team which will be really useful in game, otherwise you will be wasting money.
I have checked right now and the cheapest Axie is for sale for 38$, what means you need to invest about 114$ to play, a bit expensive in my opinion...

It's a kind of Pokemon RPG battle game.

Once you start playing you can choose between adventure mode (against game mobs) or arena mode (against other players mode, PvP). All game modes reward you SLPs (Small Love Potions) tokens when you win. As you reach further in Adventure mode the rewards increase and you can collect up to 100 SLPs daily on this mode. In Arena mode you earn 7 SLPs for every victory and the earnings are unlimited, although your energy is limited (each match uses 1 energy), regenerating every few hours.

There is also daily challenge with SLP reward to boost your earnings. Some time ago it was really profitable as each SLP was pricing from 0,03$ to 0,05$. But right now it's at 0,01$ range.
Players engaged in game believe the price will still bounce up again yet.

I have also heared there are people living from this game income in third world countries, but you need to enjoy this kind of genre to make profit from this without getting too bored...

Sorry to say , but thats not true, ok simple games would not ask high demanding gpu , but most of the games using offchain programs ( like unity) and those games asking heavier GPU's , like Blankos or Hasrush you cant play it without decent GPU's

Some games gives reward in coins for playing games. If you are a good gamer, so the blockchain games are the best area where you can spend your time and earns money for playing games . Some games are based on NFT(Non fungible token) token. We can get NFT coins and then convert it into crypto coins.
And the best thing is that you don't need a high graphic card for playing blockchain games.

i play more than 1 year ( or is it 2 years  ) footbattle , its a simple manager game, you buy players ( with ingame currency Fbucks  or with eth ) put them in your team , and let them play , the more they play the higher it gets in levels .. every winning match it gives you Fbucks , and with this you can buy better players ..
but there is an BUT in this game, devs dont do much with this game ( when the game has error , they are fixing it fast)  , i dont know why, its very pity because this is a gem..
but then again this doesnt mean the game is not playable , just the opposite its play very nice without any faults...

ooo, i checked your link, i didnt know there were that many games allready , some of them i definitely gonna try ... like i said , why play pay 2 play if you can play 2 earn .

the development of blockchain is not only limited to the transaction system but also for games, I've tried playing the footbatle and it's quite interesting to play. a suggestion maybe developers can increase the number of games on the blockchain so that they can add variety to the game world on the blockchain
