I myself have not started playing yet, but I know people who have switched to games and I will tell you, they are happy about it, they earn a good deal of money and games give them pleasure. Now there are a lot of topics about games and I think many will want to play games and make money on it. This is fun, exciting and brings money.

Blockchain games are not necessarily to be ERC-20 tokens running on Ethereum blockchain. It can be any on chain game running on any blockchain.

Have you ever played blockchain games? What do you think about them?
Yes. Check my signature. Its a highly transparent one.
the game in your signature has a high risk of losing, ChainBet is a gambling game that only relies on luck, you should avoid this kind of game because I have played in this kind and a big defeat that I got
It's meant to make money they definitely have the favoring odds or they wouldn't be around. Gambling is just that but always remember you're taking the higher risk.

The first game launched on Tron about a week ago too I believe, it has to do with wizards or something.

When i heard about bitcoin back in 2011/2012 i actually thought it was designed
to be used by gamers. Blockchain and games to me create a natural relationship
Gaming and ill throw gambling in also are big money generators. I love the idea
because it introduces people to crypto.

Blockchain gaming has come a long way from the games I used to play.

All blockchain games are instances of DApps, or decentralized apps (though not all dapps are games!). As decentralized gaming apps, blockchain games are open source, decentralized and distributed.

Many blockchain games feature NFTs or some in-game ERC-20 currency – sometimes both. All blockchain games include at some point payments with the cryptocurrency that is native to their host blockchain, the most popular being ETH.

Most blockchain games iterate over certain schemes. You might have heard of the most popular ones: apps for collecting and breeding characters, apps that add battles and item crafting to the collectibles scheme, idle games in which you sit back and watch your character progress through levels, and good old-fashioned gambling games. Explore this FAQ to learn more about how blockchain games work. And explore the rest of the website to learn about the games themselves!

Have you ever played blockchain games? What do you think about them?
Blockchain games or games that make you "earn" cryptocurrency is a straight up joke. Their design/graphics/UI is usually horrible and the gaming feel is bad as well. I do wish that we could have better games, but the fact that we don't is a big bummer.

Actually we don't really need blockchain mainstream gaming, right now the gaming and e-sports world is doing just fine.

As far as I know - most games on the blockchain are ponzi schemes and they do not carry anything new, but just try to take your money.

Gods Unchained is another example of such a game. This is a turn-based competitive trading card game. Each match is a 1v1 battle against another player. The goal of the game is to reduce your opponent's life. You can play the game for free with a core non-tradable set of cards. Also, you can purchase card packs on the platform itself or buy and sell cards with other players.

And here's a list of many different blockchain games. I've seen there card games, RPGs, multiplayer PvP games, post-apocalyptic survival games, real-time fighting games, multiplayer world-building games, mobile strategy games, tamagotchi-like games, MMO real-time economic strategy games, etc. on Ethereum, EOS, TRON.

To be honest, i only know eth.town that probably legit. Most of them are ponzi/hyip scheme which i got scammed in the past. So, i don't think thats a good game except if someday something like mmorpg that based on blockchain, thats will be good.
Well, cryptokitties is a very famous one and I don't think it's a scam. At the same time, I don't think that blockchain games should necessarily be monetized. No monetization would mean no scam and it would also mean application of blockchain is more creative ways. Potentially, blockchain could store many kinds of data and thus could be used in any games where there is a sort of irreversible interaction between users or between a user and some object. Blockchain could help gamers actually access real history of things and people they get acquainted with. I really like how the guy in this video explains this matter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywvTIM_eOVI&t.

It seems like you're talking about gaming as in gambling and the thread is more about gaming in the sense of video games not gambling.

Hmmm... Haven't tried any of it, but I'll definitely try it out, can anyone give me games that you guys are much addicted to? I think that this will be great, and that this is also another way of getting attention, reaching this platform means you'll also reach gamers and that wherein gamers are much more adept at understanding cryptocurrency, just like me I would definitely try out a blockchain game.

can you give names of this games? we should make a black list. same as with ICOs
Its old site and probably is not active anymore, i remember its something like Egg and something like farming thing which give you passive income from nowhere.

Definitely too many are just annoying ways people are using them to try and invest instead of playing the game. People buy the crypto cats because they think they resell it for more, it isn't anything but a digital graphic of a cat there's no financial reasoning and natural player base, it's all profit oriented.
Probably.

When it was? Maybe something changed now

It is a way to earn, actually. But for now I trust such games more, actually. Like at least people play it now and can say if it's scam or not. ICO's are different. You can never know if another ICO is scam
