Blockchain is not dead .it is having some issues .well the technicians are trying hard a lot to make it better .because of that transactions are getting late .so dont worry that bitcoin will be dead soon .it will rise to its greatest peak .kudoos Smiley

Do not get your "Blockchain" based technology mixed up with "Bitcoin" .... Some companies are using the "Blockchain" technology behind

Bitcoin for their projects. They do not want to use the "Bitcoin" token, so they develop something similar, but they use it on their legacy

ledger systems... These technologies are not permission-less and they are mostly private.  Roll Eyes

The title thread should be "The real Blockchain is only Bitcoin" since without Blockchain technology, Bitcoin won't exist today.

haha the title of this topic got me confused for a moment since I've always thought that blockchain was one of the main structures, let's say, of bitcoin. Cheesy should sigwit do something to blockchain tho, if it as to be implemented?

bitcoin and blockchain are not two different or separable things. they work together and stay alive together. so as long as bitcoin is alive blockchain is also alive. and all those people who want to separate bitcoin and blockchain are only trying to make an altcoin and we have already got enough of those going around that we don't need a bank controlled altcoin.
True, but it's possible for each of them to exist separately, and I think a blockchain without Bitcoin is a more probable outcome. A modified blockchain can be used in banking, voting and many other things, while Bitcoin is a hit or miss. It either becomes a widely accepted form of payment and/or a store of value or it slowly dies and becomes overtaken by other, more secure and anonymous currency.

I have heard a lot less news over the last few months about blockchain this and blockchain that,  for awhile every other day there was some bank or corporation spouting off about how they were using blockchain in some way.

Is it now time for Bitcoin to take centre stage again?

Well with the huge R3 consortium thing fiasco where more and more bank firms are jumping off the ship and are saying bye to it, I think it has been definitely a failure for the private blockchain camp. But make no mistake, they will keep fighting bitcoin, they will try to make bitcoin a centralized datacenter node mess, and they will not give up until they take control of bitcoin, so watch out.

Don't inedible waffle, a lot people just trolling or maybe they just want to create bitcoin 2.0 and make bitcoin&blockchain fails.

Respond to your title, otherwise blockchain have more attention, especially there are some country who already in beta now implement this technology to their country.

Bitcoin itself become more popular nowadays.
Is there a relationship with the bank? Mostly chain has used for altcoin which means a lot of them had made for alt-chain. And I don't ever see there is bank was publishing his chain project.
Well there are no direct relationship between bitcoins and the bank. But at this moment of time when they speak of blockchain that is primarily used in bitcoin, the banks are trying to copy that system and integrate it with banking system. They somehow wanted to recreate bitcoin with modifications favorable to them. If bitcoin will be slow to spread itself soon bitcoin clone will replace the old bitcoin. Banks are a threat to bitcoin.

I dont think they could able to create a new blockchain which is being governed by them. If that happens for sure it will easily adopted on most people because they will follow the regulations on a particular bank.It will patch up bitcoins existence for sure but i dont think it will happen fast and for sure it will takes time before it would be implemented.

I agree on you. I dont really think that the can able to create a new blockchain which is same with the blockchain right know or better. Well if we could say that they could build but it is not like as fast as now because it is really not the same with the blockchain right now.

in bitcoin when you hear about something over and over for example blockhain in this case it only means that news sites have found a new hot topic to milk it dry! and when you stop hearing about it, that means that those news sites have gotten their click baits and now they have moved on to new and hotter topics but the reality is happing still in the background and in this case those people are still working on blockchain technology as hot as before.

blockchain is always going to be the technology that revolutionized how we think about money and will always remain that and can never die. bitcoin is also strong with the blockchain and these two are not seperable no matter how many people try to do it.

Bitcoin doesnt have to be the center it just needs enough people to make it work.
Right now it is doing that. It is good to have more users bit I think double the users from the current amount I would be very happy with.

Bitcoin and blockchain can`t be divided.

If the blockchains dies, bitcoin is destroyed.

I don`t care wether or not big corporations are talking about blockchain or btc.

What are you talking about ? so if everyone gave up tomorrow on creating block-chains, then what you are saying is that bitcoins is destroyed aswell ?  how do you work that out?  If banks and corporations, who decided that they wanted to ride the bitcoin wave decide that it does not work for them and give up, your saying that bitcoin will die aswell Huh

I think the problem on this forum is that to many people dont understand english very well,  dont comment if you dont even understand the post.  Roll Eyes

If Blockchain falls, Bitcoin falls after it too. They're connected and you wouldn't put your money into Bitcoin if it happened either, which leads to the failure. I do not think this would happen, and if it would... Dozens of billions of dollars would be lost, and all the altcoins would fall after too.....

As described Blockchain and bitcoin were like two eyes of a human body. If one fails too, with the other one can see but somehow to some extent sight loss happens. Same is with bitcoin and Blockchain, the functioning won't be effective as the present.

I think you do not have any knowledge about Bitcoin. Don't you know that Bitcoin need the Blockchain to develop and to be used ? Blockchain is just like the ocean while Bitcoin is fish swimming in this ocean. If something jeopardy the ocean, the fish will die first, not the ocean
It seems like you might be struggling a bit to understand what OP was referring to.

OP is saying that these supposed private blockchains that were going to "revolutionize" traditional banking are failing, and because of this Bitcoin is now just in a stronger position with even fewer competitors now.

I don't mind this. The further and further we can force banks from trying to use this tech the better imo.

Blockchain technology could live without bitcoin and could be used by other technology but as you mentioned bitcoin wont work if theres no blockchain so we could really say that they are both important to function and could be used by people.I don't know whats the exact aim or essence of OP question between bitcoin and blockchain.
