It doesn't matter what issues/bugs people report to blockchain.com, they haven't done anything bu ignore their users in the last couple of years.

If you've been here for a couple of years, and used their service, you'll know that the same bugs people kept complaining about are still present, which is quite a sign of incompetence and the fact that they don't care. Every reputable service fixes its bugs, but not blockchain.com unless it's an urgent one. Steer clear of this site.
I think even they are delayed on response or fixing issues I am sure that they are doing what they should fix from the blockchain if the bugs still exist it doesn't mean that they are not taking any action they are just waiting for more people to complain before they fix the issue.
This is what I see from blockchain.

That would be hard to believe 'cause if it's really true, there should be some progress, all I'm seeing is new money-making products.

And don't try to justify the delay with another terrible action, it doesn't make 1Referee's statement less true as it proves they will only take action once the damage has already spread through out their users.

Hi LFC. Has the service provider heard your complaints yet?

That is a shame for a positive picture for the blockchain technology. Thank you for informing me in depth about their project.

Joke of a service.

I only use it for every day, small ‘ish’ transactions but it’s terrible. I’ve lost count of the amount of times I select ‘Premium’ fee & I have to end up using a free transaction accelerator to push through my transaction because the fee they set ends up being too low.

Just venting a bit any way. Anybody else experience similar with them? Going to stop using the service now any way. I probably should have ditched them ages ago seeing as though Ver is a big investor / CEO.
I wonder if their developers fuckin work with FOTRAN and STILL use tables for writing mark-ups. The most terrible UI I've felt and experienced in my life. Once I literally was about to pay more fees than my entire balance to broadcast the transaction - That's blockchain's logic. Even though I use the service for small transactions it's very disappointing to see how they still can't calculate the proper TX fees like it's not very difficult to do that. I'm not even mentioning how bad their user interface is.

It happened to me before but its during those network spam days around December 2017. And when I use them now, I'm paying for the recommended fee as I don't adjust fees but I never had problem with that unlike yours.

Transaction confirms around 7-10 minutes and the longer I had few weeks ago was around an hour for the recommended fee.

Are you absolutely sure that it happened multiple times? I've been using Blockchain.com on a weekly basis for the last few months, and it works perfectly almost every time. Even with "standard" fee (about 3 to 9 cents), it usually takes hardly an hour for the first confirmation, and with "premium" fee, it usually takes about 15 minutes for the first confirmation.

Have you been using them repeatedly in the past few days? Has it been this slow every time?

It could be purely related to luck since you can't assure yourself a confirmation within x time frame even with a very high fee. If you look at the hashrate swings (and they are pretty wild), they do translate into slower block times every now and then, which results in more short term network congestion, and thus other users outbidding the fees that were approapriate at the time of sending.

In case there is some priority to it, I always use higher fees than recommended, just for the sake of being ready for unexpected congestion when blocks take longer to come through.

My experience of blockchain.info wallet, which is a wallet used by me before to make transaction and even now some times because of their low fee.The wallet may not be good for the people who knows how to setup the fee but there are lot of people who may set wrong fee and end up waiting for too long so for those this wallet may be perfect and I never too waited too long while made transaction with this wallet and it is far better when compared to blockchain wallet only missing segwit.
Before that is blockchain.info but now it is blockchain.com, yes before I also used blockchain.com wallet in receiving fund from exchange due to it is low fees compared to other, that was more than a year ago as of now I didn't use because I much comfortable with electrum wallet. Which is allowed in using segwit address not just like blockchain.com they didn't allow segwit address.
However, blockchain.com for me is still good if I don't have any other option aside from electrum I use that wallet.
So you are using electrum because of segwit address or you can have the private keys of your own wallet?

Normally I am also uses electrum for storing my bitcoin, used web wallet only to exchange bitcoin to others because it has option to do with no verifcation before but now they need KYC to do that I guess.

Yep. That should be enough reason for everyone to stop using them, to be honest, they're not hurting their users only but the network as well by not upgrading.

Definitely. I really don't see the reason to not use segwit. The only 2 possible reasons I can think of is that:
  • They purposely don't want to implement it, to probably move people to the BCH camp

I'm guessing it's this. Roger Ver was an angel investor in Blockchain.info back in 2011. He probably owns a large stake in the company -- they didn't do any more fundraising until three years later. Judging by his actions with Bitcoin.com, I'm sure he'd use any influence he has to push Blockchain away from Segwit.

Most people here will prefer to use a different client, but newbies are very likely going to use blockchain's wallet. It looks good, supports numerous altcoins, and newbies aren't subjected to toxic politics within crypto.

Yeah, I suppose people have different choice and it's not a problem too, as long as they realize the risk. I used blockchain once but then I no longer use it, or other web wallets due to security reason.

But the sad news is some people in my country who knows crypto trust blockchain or web wallet (even exchange) blindly and maybe that's why I'm a bit skeptical.

I'm surprised that anyone still uses blockchain.com as their wallet, not to mention any risk of a phishing attack and something like that. You don't store your BTC there, you 'store' your Bitcoin on blockchain and you use a wallet to access it. I prefer a way that is more secure, like Electrum for example.
I don't like blockchain.com solely for the reason of them not supporting SegWit, but other than that, it has been doing its thing extremely well and continues to attract new users.

Electrum's mobile wallet client isn't as good looking, but provides one of the safest and fastest ways to import private keys. Perfect combination when you are using ChipMixer frequently.

Personally I have never had a problem with blockchain.info/com, but I use it quite rare and just for small transaction. Recently I use them for few transaction and I just leave regular fee since I was not in a hurry. Before I set custom fee there and I have never experienced any problems with that, so they maybe have some technical problems.

Similar to what happened with me. I sent around 0.3BTC today to another address of mine & I clicked premium fee. It did it as 9 sats.

I just check now and best fee for fast confirmation is 12 satoshis/byte, and minutes ago was 14 satoshis/byte so it change almost on a minute basis. It is strange that with 9 satoshis/byte took 2 hours for first confirmation. Just to be clear I did not check on blockchain.com, but on this site : https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/

Edit : I just send one transaction with custom fee 8 satoshis/byte and it was confirmed in 10 minutes - Regular fee is 4 satoshis/byte, and premium 16 satoshis/byte.

Just today I payed only $0.07 for a transaction worth around $50 which was performed in less than 10 minutes! No accelerators, just a premium fee which is nowadays extremely low.

You can do the same thing with Electrum, or core tbh. The speed of the transaction is not related to which wallet that you use, and there's a better guarantee that the fee you set on Electrum will be the same fee that you paid to for your transaction.

Why not to use this website instead? I feel safe keeping my btc there and performing transactions whenever I need to.

I use it every now and then. But I was using it last week but something weird happened. I made a transaction and I set the custom fee to about 12 sat...but for some reason, it seems like their system or algorithm messed up my fee because I checked the tx on blockexplorer and the fee was 7 sat...probably some bug, haven't used it since then.

I probably should have ditched them ages ago seeing as though Ver is a big investor / CEO.
Didn't know Ver was an investor, it all makes sense now, no wonder they haven't implemented segwit.

It took 2 hours to confirm & I couldn’t even push transaction with ViaBTC free transaction accelerator. It said fee was too low.

I was going to leave it over night & then pay via a paid transaction accelerator to get it confirmed. Luckily it confirmed after about 2 hours.

Shit wallet, shit service.

I don't know them, I use blockchain.info for bitcoin transactions and am very pleased by its work. Just today I payed only $0.07 for a transaction worth around $50 which was performed in less than 10 minutes! No accelerators, just a premium fee which is nowadays extremely low. Why not to use this website instead? I feel safe keeping my btc there and performing transactions whenever I need to. And I've never had an issue with the fee being too low, because each time they recommend the fees based on how busy the network is at that time. They don't support Segwit, though, so if that matters to you in choosing the future service, that's probably not your choice.

blockchain.info is also blockchain.com bro. They merge.
Type in blockchain.info & it’ll send you to blockchain.com
