Hey, sorry to bump such an old thread, but it seems "The hottest threads on Bitcointalk.org of the last 24h" has not been updating for quite a while now, and it's a feature I use all the time Smiley Is this a known issue?

Can you give a criteria for the "hot topics"?

Also what do you think about function which could aggregate new posts from selected members (which I can choose by my own) and then divide it by topic?

hey there phelix. I hope things are well with you. I'm a long-time fan of your site. It's my default webpage on my mobile Smiley I was wondering if you had any plans for updating the scale for the chart with the Mining Factor (USD/24h @ 1GHash/s). I ask because after the last difficulty increase, the line's literally touching the bottom of the chart. Keep up the fantastic work.
Thanks!

Looks like the scale on the mining profitability chart automatically updated itself. Not sure if you did that or not, but no further action required.  Smiley
When I looked it had already updated. Damn good programming  Tongue

The page is not refreshing for me. It's the same for two days now. Deleting cookies, etc does not help.
Does anyone have the same problem?

The backend server got shut down because of a bug slowing it down to a halt. Over the easter weekend it took a while until I could reach the hoster. Things *should* be more stable now.

Btw: the long time charts are now glued together from Mtgox (up to the end of 2012) and Bitstamp (starting 2013).

Apologies if this has already been asked somewhere in the thread, but would you consider switching the data from mtgox to bitstamp? Even better maybe doing a weighted average of the top 2 or 3 exchanges combined?

.1 coin tip coming at you if done in February  Grin
I would prefer Bitstamp, too, but the switch would mean quite some work. Also I am missing historic data for Bitstamp. Thanks for the offer, I will give it some more thought. The code certainly needs some cleanup, too.

Bitcoin Network,
Current difficulty: 1180923195
Estimated next difficulty: 690281915 (-41.5%) in 7 days and 11.8 hours

This is correct data for difficulty

Giveaways should now be excluded. They cause "artificial" posts and they clutter up the view.
Thanks,

edit:
hey friend love the site any way to easily change PRICE[USD] in blue on the last two charts to scale 0-1500 or even 0-2000 would help us get a better look. similar to the way the bids vs asks operate on different scales.
Yah, atm it is hard to see anything. I thought about making the scales log...   might take a while, though.
Had forgotten about that - done.  Wink
Also finally proper tick mark colors.

Bitcoincharts API seems to have moved to a new server so I had to update the data download interface. Charts should be working again now.

Done. Good idea. Also played with the logo. Added a link to r/bitcoin and to a diagram of r/bitcoin page views.

Thank you very much for favico. Nice work!!

Yeah I agree that bitcoin markets can be like that. You always have to use your own judgement, but this problem exist everywhere and with every currency. Don't you think that companies that receive money can do something good with it and everyone can benefit from it?
I really thinks its possible for everyone to benefit from raising funds, I think of stock markets like Kickstarter but with potential to earn money on your investment.

This addition would make your site perfect.
Been burned too often. As of now it is much to easy to loose your coins so I don't want to encourage this subforum.
