10 days, still, not confirmed. is it joke?

still, "In progress"

I am very angry to blockchain.info

support only says that

"An unconfirmed transaction will eventually be accepted into a block by whichever mining pool mines the block, or the transaction will eventually be rejected by the bitcoin network. If it eventually is rejected, then the funds would remain at the bitcoin address they were sent from. The only thing you can do at this point is to wait and see if the transaction is accepted into a block. Like all wallet providers, Blockchain.info has absolutely no control over this, and cannot expedite transactions. This is always dependent upon the bitcoin network of miners, which we are not a part of."

They're right sir. Unconfirmed transactions are out of their hand because they're not a mining pool. And conversions will only start once they deemed that your deposit is valid, in other words once a miner picked up your transaction and validate/confirm it. Most likely the reason why your transaction has remained unconfirmed for too long is because of a low miner fee as both btc and eth networks are congested so the fees will be much higher than usual.

What you can do now is to prepare for the big waiting game but rejected or not you will not lose your money.
As they said track your transaction in any block explorer like this one https://etherscan.io.

thanks sir

I e-mailed ShapeShift and they just replyed and had this to say...”it seems there was an intermittent error on our end. I have queued a return, and we will be in touch once completed. We apologize for any inconvenience.” ... then they say it can take 48-72 hours to complete... fingers crossed
... and I just got my money back :-)

Interesting! I exchanged bitcoin to ether 6 days ago within my Blockchain.info wallet. The bitcoin transaction is confirmed and so the funds are out of my wallet but I see no ether yet. Hope it eventually goes through.

But does anyone know what happens if the ether transaction is rejected? How will I get my bitcoins back, if at all?

Bad timing for converting ETH/BTC while both networks are congested.

Just curious,
Did you send ETH from Blockchain wallet to another exchange, and are waiting for that exchange to send BTC to your blockchain wallet?

no. in blockchain info, there is eth to btc and btc to eth exchange .only between blockchain.info wallets. i used it.  i did'nt use another exchange.

and still i am waiting....Sad

Ahha but blockchain.info use an external exchange (Shapeshift) for converting, so its going to take a while in these congested times.

You probably don't want to contact support and say that a transaction is unconfirmed... they'll just auto respond with that standard response.

Tell them that your ETH/BTC exchange has failed and is not processed.

bc.info support answer is

"Hello,

An unconfirmed transaction will eventually be accepted into a block by whichever mining pool mines the block, or the transaction will eventually be rejected by the bitcoin network. If it eventually is rejected, then the funds would remain at the bitcoin address they were sent from. The only thing you can do at this point is to wait and see if the transaction is accepted into a block. Blockchain.info wallets utilize dynamic fees. The following link explains how this works - https://blog.[Suspicious link removed]/2016/03/16/introducing-dynamic-fees/."

what can i do this situation?
