Do anyone know how to sign a message from new blockchain.info wallet , i am familiar with old wallet but cant find the right place in new beta wallet.
Don't think you can sign/verify messages from the new wallet Yet.I have checked the documentation of the new updates including the FAQ but could not find signing/verifying links. You can still sign through old wallet right ? Hardly matters anyway.

I have Talked to blockchain.info support and they told me that once you have upgraded to beta version then you can go back to classic old version.

A little bit more information, please. Is this something you have to request with Blockchain support? As far as I know, after digging around the site, there is no option to revert back to the classic wallet once you've upgraded. Believe me, I've tried!

oops you got me wrong there was a "not" missing in my previous comment , yes , i mean that once you have upgraded to beta version then you cannot revert back to classic.

If you can't find the place to sign message in new blockchain wallet then try to look for private keys option
Just get the private key and use it in your old wallet. In this way you will be able to sign message even if it was generated in new one

Unfortunately, once you upgrade to the beta version of the wallet, you are no longer able to revert back to the classic one. And in the beta version, there is no section in order to sign messages for your addresses.

Blockchain is a good wallet. And many people use it and that is quite good. It is also very safe and secure.
If Bitcoin will be more popular later in the future, than the online wallets will also grow and that will be also very good.

God. I hate sig spammers. Your post in this thread does absolutely nothing to contribute to the topic, which is Blockchain's new beta wallet. Your post is like something you took out of a children's book. Shame on you, sig spammer.

I don't understand either why they upgrade their wallet when in fact there is no complain I've read about them. I prefer using them most of the time as its easy and won't need to synchronizing to my computer and blockhain which takes a lot of hard drive space.

Blockchain's wallets were the most prone to getting hacked online, probably mainly because they were one of the first web wallets available for Bitcoin. The upgrade was to ensure safety and security for the accounts, but after upgrading to the beta, I feel like they just simply added a section on security that recycles the same security settings from the old wallet... They just placed it more prominently on the homepage, with a big fat progress bar next to it.

Ironically, as I stated above, there is still no way to sign a message anymore... Which is a feature I really hope they add to the beta version very shortly.

this upgrade just to make sure their user got the possible highest security level, prevention is better than a cure, and blockchain do give a choice to their users whether the user want to move to the new web wallet or to the old ones it's all depend on user, but i can sure, when the new web wallet finally launched and lost its "beta" word ,the user will be forced to move there

You probably have wrong information then.Blockchain.info is usually a target of Ddos attacks leaving their services at halt quite often. Also, earlier they used to have the private keys/unique login url stored in the web browser which was prone to attacks. They have updated this in the latest version. One has to access the unique url using their email only (for direct access).Apart from that ,various UI features have upgraded.Though I find the old version's looks better. There should be substantial amount of changes in API too, its not released yet.

I have migrated over to the new blockchain beta wallet, and it's much more intuitive, but lacks the same features as the original wallet. First of all, they've done a very similar thing as Xapo, whereas it suggests that you create a new address (from the Your Addresses section). This gets quite annoying, and it should be a feature that you should be able to toggle on or off so you don't see that message every time you want to manage an address.

Secondly, and most importantly, there is no way for me to be able to sign a message to my address(es). This is ridiculous, and I'd be floored if Blockchain decided to remove the feature... I doubt it, but in the beta wallet, you're not able to sign a message. I have checked every single link and option, and it simply is not there.

Another negative is that if you use multiple addresses, the activity log on the home page of your wallet does not display which address that you have sent or received money from. In fact, the Transactions page does not show the information, either, until you click on an individual transaction. And given that the transaction lookup is slow, this gets annoying fast when you're receiving multiple transactions a day and need to track or make notes for the transactions. I wish they would display which address that you received a transaction to on the overall activity log.

All in all, the new design is intuitive, simple to use, and I can see that they are gearing it more towards the layman than an experienced bitcoin user.

As far as safety goes? All my coins are still available, but all of my addresses from my original Blockchain wallet are now displayed under a section called "Imported Addresses", which is quite annoying. The addresses are still there, but I wish that Blockchain would have somehow kept my existing hierarchy that I had in my original wallet instead of creating a new section. The "Imported Addresses" section appears grayed out, but it is still manageable and accessible.

All in all, with the experience that I've had with the new wallet over the past week or so, my recommendation is for you to wait before you update. I feel that Blockchain still has some more implementation to do for the new structure and design, and it's not quite ready.

The worst part about the whole updating to the beta wallet is that I am not able to "downgrade" back to the original wallet.

I would not recommend using the new version of Blockchain web wallet because its still in beta version. Their address clearly shows that : https://blockchain.info/wallet-beta/#/login
Until its get done stick with the old one as I am now. Newer one might have few bugs now. Wait for the Full release

As most experienced members rated it, I will just have to wait the final version before moving my funds.
It is still in "BETA," means they are actively looking ways to improve all the features that members have problems with. Blockchain is the most well-known-wallet and with their reputation I am sure this will end with a great features.

So, don't loose all your hope to Blockchain. Wink

My wallet was immediately on beta wallet when I signed up for a new wallet llike 3 weeks ago. I used the blockchain android wallet so I didn't get to choose which version. Anyway, I can't tell much of the difference from the old wallet other than the confusing new wallet address it generates everytime I receive a transaction. I'm quite still learning how that thing works as sometime I'm confused which bitcoin address will I use.

Learned about its issues from a local forum to which sign message weren't anymore available.  It should be an issue later since sign message is important. but maybe it will there in the final version

Hi friends ,
I just wanna know how many or you have upgraded to blockchain.info beta wallet?
If you have upgraded to it then how is your feeling on it.
Personally i don't like it , i am unable to manage my old address nor i am able to find the place from where i can sign messages.

will love to hear your views on it ! Tongue
I've upgraded and it works flawlessly.
There was a problem sometimes retrieving addresses but that bug is solved too.

What i don't like is that my used addresses are called imported addresses, instead of a normal list of used bitcoin addresses

Design is pretty nice if you ask me but well , a design without features / security isn't the best thing . I'd prefer to wait for the final release.

I think the interface is nice, although I still wouldnlt use blockchain.info due to security concerns. IMO there are web wallets with better security measures and better 2fa.
