yes... blockchain is down...

but coinbase and xapo are ON...

but yeah, cold storage is the best choice, get a backup, etc. Indeed, for someone who doesn't want to store their coins online, cold storage is undoubtedly the best choice. But for those who don't even use a desktop computer, there are some cool wallet...

Like our friends said: the only thing is that, some time you could get very pissed off with a offline server -- like today with blockchain.

It happens from time to time. If you don't want to risk downtime then you should just use the client.

Planning to change to coinbase for the moment, have to get used with its mobile version.
I want to use my wallet in my computer and mobile at the same time

So no one is having a problem with his wallet in blockchain.info for the moment since the site is down from 5 hours now!!!
I am not a businessman nor having an urgent deal but when someone couldn't access his account during several hours is really annoying (especially when you don't have any idea when it will return online)
That's the problem of online wallets...

Hi guys.

yeah, I changed my wallet to coinbase.

Even my old blockchain.info wallet had problem now; somethin' is weird, but...

thnks for th opinions.

Coinbase is very slow compared to blockchain and they dont allow the users to send small bits to another address. They require over 6-8 confirmations while blockchain requires 3-4 to spend the bits. That was the main reason I shifted to blockchain and now I'm trying xapo.

I hate their security settings, they treat every user as an idiot, safe yes, annoying, even more....

Yeah, I'm trying Xapo right now.

Guys, got another review of blockchain, etc.

I'm very fucking poor, so, it's not so disaster to me to lose all of my BTC... so, I put some coins into Coinbase or Blockchain wallets, others in Xapo, others in Poloniex, another one into a Bleutrade wallet or Bit-X, Bittrex, Cryptopay, etc.

So... as a final result, to me at least, put each portion of BTC into an specific web wallet is the best choice. Some websites have more respect than others, so, it's better let "high" portions into this respective wallet.

Thanks for advs.  Cool

Too much portion, what your purpose to put your coin potion on other exchange? arbitrage?

Is more efficient store in cold wallet, electrum is my suggestion.

i had the same problem earlier with block chain wallet  but i have a trick to work out. i guess its keep loading when you tried to send btc normally but if you do like this i think things will work fine.

Go to custom send > then choose the address you want to send from > put fees > you can choose .0002/.0004/.0006 then try to send i hope it will work fine with you too !

Let me know if this works out. if its not sort out there are more ways to fix your problems !

all type of wallets can have a problem once in a while but you must be sure that you still have the 100% control over your private keys so using coinbase isnt really a good idea to store most of your coins, why not try Mycelium for mobile or Electrum and/or Armory for desktop so your coins are safe just dont forget to create a backup Smiley

You changed from one online wallet to another, and coinbase doesn't even let you have control over your keys, ask yourself this, if tomorrow the site becomes in-accessible, how will you get hold of your funds?

If you don't control the keys, you don't control your Bitcoins. Take some time and learn about desktop wallets, Electrum is as easy as it gets.

The most bizarre thing is that I got another wallet (much older, and has thousands of transactions), and this one don't have the same problem... it happens just with this "new" wallet.

The official support give me instructions, but it had no effect... but the wallet opened normally this very morning... so, I don't know... blockchain.info is really weird....  Huh
Yeah, blockchain.info tends to have weird and stupid problems. I wouldn't recommend them. You should really get a desktop wallet like electrum. If you want access to your Bitcoin on the go, you can also use mycelium.

My suggestion: Choose coinbase. In two years with those no any problem and all the fee paid from them. Very good support.
I wouldn't recommend coinbase. They don't give you access to your private keys so you don't actually own the Bitcoin. Blockchain also pays the proper fees (usually) but they have the option to turn it off, which I think is what a lot of people do.

How many times do we have to repeat this, guys stay away from online wallets! Especially the blockchain.info, the wallet with most bugs out there.

There are so many lite wallets at the moment for your computer that are easily configurable and easy to secure. Take care of your money and have a sole control over it for God's sake.

it only affect your wallet which has recent transaction that are affected by the malleability attack on the network, so your old wallet isnt affected coz i guess you are not using it until now

Hi.

No, I don't have a backup of my wallet....

but guys... honestly... blockchain.info is not indicated? Because (I'm honest dudes) I don't have any problem with them since this fact....

You know, I met BTC and blockchain.info when it was almost the only trustable web wallet.

Now, I think it's time to change my wallet...  Cool

Thanks everyone for the advices.

Hi guys.

I'm using blockchain.info since december 2013; but actually there's a lot of problem with blockchain.info wallet.

It stuck in "LOADING TRANSACTIONS", and I got anotehr wallet who sync cool, but this one "17Qd3JTRPg3Tg6uzoHLWni47XgDfnP63mx" is stucked. It shows the graphics of transctions but the value doesn't appear.

So, there's any way to get help for this kinda situation?

My wallet is not so big, but I gotta money inside this wallet.

So... if anyone could help me, I'll be very glad.

i want to ask, you join blockchain.info at 2013, do you have a back up of the wallet  ?
Im using blockchain too, but i export my wallet to mycellium

contact their support. There is nothing we can do to help you.

You should probably stop using blockchain.info's wallet. They have had many issues in the past and recently.

Agree. Contact their support. Even it is not for sure that they can help for everything. I had this kind of wallet for about three-four month and then choose coinbase (because pay they the fee of every send of bitcoins you do) and after two-three years I tried to open the blockchain.info wallet but was not possible. I write to support. they send a long email with suggestions and at the end wrote that if I had some things they wanted it was not possible for no one to open the wallet. Fortunately I had such things and the wallet was open. But if haven't those the open it would not be possible.

My suggestion: Choose coinbase. In two years with those no any problem and all the fee paid from them. Very good support.
