@bitcoininformation-I appreciate the comparisons between blockchain and Electrum

@peer2peer360-I personally have never used the blockchain.info mobile app, either on Android or Apple IOS.  I've stuck with my desktop and accessed blockchain.info via browser.  I do have 2-factor authentication active and connected to SMS now, since there seemed to be intermittent issues with sending the 2-factor email...at times I did get it, and at other times I never did.  So far, I'm back up, being able to to login to my wallet, with no further issues.

I wonder if the blockchain.info issue that was occurring with the android app has been resolved?

Update..

Ive yet to solve the blockchain wallet issue im having

    * Pair device - not able to access the blockchain.info
With the password i established when i first downloaded the app!
The password i wrote, blockchain keeps saying invalid password

*Scan QR code - not able to access/.or login to scan the QR code
Password i established seems to invalid

Over 36 hours and im still not able to access my btc within the blockchain wallet

If anyone has a viable solution that can remedy ordeal i would greatly appreciate it!

I also chose not to DL the entire blockchain and thus use an online wallet.

If you're worried about security, use dual authentication with your mobile phone instead of email. I assume it's a lot more difficult to hack a phone than an email account.

And yes, sometimes the service is temporarily unavailable. But so are 100% of your banking alternatives lol.

Thanks for the update, MrHempstock, I was considering changing the two-factor authentication method to my cell phone instead, it seems the method involving sending an email has been a bit unstable the last few days.

@bitcoininformation-I was unaware of Electrum, will check that one out as well.
I have been using it quite a while. No blockchain download, instant start up and it runs very smooth. (Armory requires a fair percentage of CPU power, Electrum almost nothing).

The interesting issue that I'm having currently with Blockchain.info, is when I'm trying to access my online wallet, it attempts to send a two-factor authentication email to my AIM mail account, but it never arrives, only very intermittently, coming into the spam folder.  But for the most part, I never get that email to authenticate my log in.  I keep wondering if the issue is with the AIM mail servers or blockchain.info  I never had any issues prior to this.    Sad

*update*

Interesting to note that I finally did receive the email and was finaly able to log in using two-factor authentication.  I then decided to change my email address for future contact, and the verification email seems like it's being delayed, so the issue may be with blockchain.info.......just speculation.

I've been having the same experience!

I was up all night tryna figure out what was goin on.

I had been using the blockchain app for the pass 3 months
with no problems until lastnight.

I click the app and it prompted me to enter PIN, as
I always do, but for whatever reason this one time
I decided to send a few btc using this app at that
precise moments got an " error 157 'Unknown error code'

Now my btc is tied up in the process!

Yes, it's working fine now. I get worried about stuff like that, but they make it easy to keep backups of your wallet. I do think it's a trustworthy web-wallet. But that's just one aspect of web wallet security.

If you can't download the whole blockchain (like me), it is very convenient to use blockchain.info or inputs.io Smiley

blockchain.info always has trouble. it's best not to use web wallets in case they go down.

I can't get in to my blockchain wallet with my identifier, alias, or mobile app.

I get this error: Got error 157 'Unknown error code' from NDBCLUSTER

Anyone else?
