The site states that it is shutting down after today. I am sad to see it go.
Since this is the official blockr thread, I'll post it here.
What's going on with this site recently? It has been running slow for a few weeks now, and it's only getting worse. I use blockr.io as my main explorer since blockchain.info has been buggy and relatively slow, but where blockr.io has gained itself some superiority over blockchain.info a while back, the gap has started to slim down again...

I hope in the future it will show that it can be a real alternative with all options included for blockchain.info.
One thing I did notice is that blockchain.info is much faster.

@blockr.io May I know what is the genesis block URL on your site ?
I found http://blockr.io/block/info/1 with block hash 00000000839a8e6886ab5951d76f411475428afc90947ee320161bbf18eb6048
But this is the second block. Genesis block was with block hash 000000000019d6689c085ae165831e934ff763ae46a2a6c172b3f1b60a8ce26f

I am building something similar for myself for learning purposes and I wanted to ask how do you do the parsing of the .dat files? Are you using https://code.google.com/p/blockchain or something else that I could use as well?
Really good job done by blockr.io. I must say, u guys are the first true competitor of blockchain.info. I was watching this section http://blockr.io/trivia/block ...wonderful

Doge would be a really nice addition in my opinion!
I really like your block explorer but make it more user friendly to check transactions or give me a manual, maybe I'm doing something wrong!
