ICO is evil

Can anyone explain the massive drop lately?

Even when BLU had massive inflation and dumping by miners this didn't happen so what gives?

My guess is that the drop in mindshare has really contributed to this drop.  There are a number of people who were spending a lot of time working on marketing blue a while ago, however, the time and money that we were putting in was getting too consuming for the RoR.

We still have plans, in fact that are some major behind the scene efforts going on, and the large amount of background work we did in the past has created a situation where there are enough people who know of blue that when things start to get put into motion, things should really pick up quickly.

I know it's frustrating, and the initial group that made the push leading up to chicago are almost all still involved.  We are however not dedicating the full amount of time we were before and are less coordinated.  This is actually not a bad thing - the fact that there are now a number of us working on different projects, all that will benefit blue.  This way if some of our projects don't pan out, there are still others being run.

While it has been a really rough ride, and it's tough to keep holding, at this point there isn't even enough market depth for me to liquidate.  Even if I could, and even if the marketing efforts behind the scenes were not being made, blue is a pretty innovative coin, with a lot of cool features, a dedicated team of devs making improvements, and really great community mind share.  At this point, the risk reward lines up very much on the long side.  The problem is, I can't speak to timing.  We'll see though.  I'm not even trying to sell.

Can't believe all the air just went out of blue.

I hope the devs have some kind of plan to increase value.
Spoke to BlueCoiner, he said they are going to make a post soon regarding the P2SH implementation.

Charlie is just another member of the BlueCoin community.

As far as I know he's still holding and promoting BLU.

We have spent tens of thousands of dollars promoting and expanding the awareness of BLU.

We have roughly 6 people on our marketing team who are pushing BLU in social media, blogs, real life meetups, and conferences.

If you have any ideas or would like to contribute in any way please contact us.

Cheers

Thanks for your prompt response.  I really feel like you guys have a legit dev team.  It's just a bit of a challenge driving demand in such a crowded crypto space.  Hopefully that Bitcoin ETF will come very soon and all alts will rise.

Many great things on the way... including tx mixing & multi sig  Smiley

I thought you guys had a big budget for marketing and the works.

What happened?

And what about Charlie Shrem?  I saw him post on Twitter a while back that he was somehow part of Blue.

Doesn't quite add up...

It sounds like you need to -rescan your wallet.dat under this new database.

Did it. Got my true balance back. Thanks.

CRYPTONAIRE  :  When you go to unlock wallet for staking..  UNcheck the : for staking only check mark.   Box should be empty.    This is not an aspect on other wallets.    1st time I came across this..    piece
It's like that for most PoS coin clients.

It's an added security feature so that someone can't run with your coins while it's actively staking on your computer.

Quality Crypto Collector
anyone having problems transferring coins out of wallet?  I hit sent, and confirm, it does not ask for password.. which I have.    And nothing goes anywhere...     thoughts please..
Make sure you're not unlocking the wallet for "staking only".

This is a common mistake with the BLU wallet that alot of people make.

If you don't uncheck that box it will not allow you to send!

Where is the checkbox to which you refer?  And I see no means to lock/unlock the wallet.

Crossed hammers indicates that I am minting, tho'.
