Well if that's true it's great that many company now adopt the bitcoin to use as payment in any thing to purchase goods, car or a house. And I think someday bitcoin will continuously develop and accept of all to make as a payment.

THat's how FUD is being born.

Isn't this the exact opposite of FUD? Like LSD or something?

But now really, garbage clickbait topics like this should end in the trash can.
One BMW dealer out of the 152 BMW has only in the UK is accepting BTC and the title says it like it's the company doing business in BTC.

And of course we have the shitposters coming and starting with:
Good news, great news, huge news!!!!

That is a good for all bitcoin users. It will also be good for the BMW company since they are also going to grow in their customers. I cannot wait for my dream car company, mercedes benz to accept bitcoin so that i will buy my first car.

BMW definitely doesn't accept BTC for payments. It's just one car dealer in the UK (not BMW). And he accepts fiat payment via Bitpay, which makes this even more anti-climactic: https://twitter.com/SJBMWGroup/status/1014887028746571777

These threads remind me of the merchant adoption hopes in 2014. Price kept dropping and dropping and everyone kept trying to hype merchant announcements (or rumors) like Dell, Paypal, etc.

The truth is that merchant acceptance (especially through Bitpay) doesn't matter. What matters are real users and network liquidity. Merchants aren't in the business of asset/currency speculation -- they will migrate to Bitcoin when they are forced to.

This will put BMW ahead of competition as the cryptocurrency industry has so many users and they normally want channels that they can spend digital currency without converting them into fiat  money. This helps many to avoid so many hurdles in many countries. This is a step in the right direction by BMW.

I bought my BMW 5 Bitcoins. This is the type of sentence that will be heard soon, major players that support Bitcoin are more numerous, mainstream adoption approach.

See yourself. The car dealership isn"t talking on behalf of BMW but for himself. If I say I have bitcoins to sell and I accept US Dollars it doesn't mean the federal reserve is now accepting BTC
this is a lot different than BMW now accepting Bitcoin as a payment

This news makes me super cool. If all famous and prestige companies around the world will accept Bitcoins it would be great success to everybody.

Wow !!! thats a good news , i am shocked to hear these news and all these brings positive aura in this forum and also the crypto world.I would be happy to see even more companies coming forward and making crypto as an alternative currency to fiat and also reduce the demand of fiat .This would also create more opportunities in every area and also globally the economies would start booming with the usage of digital currencies.

I too didn't find any other sources that the 2 links posted, and the french link posted is well known to be not reliable. The second is a blog where everyone can write

Stephen James BMW, a BMW and MINI car dealership based in South-East England sent out a tweet which said that BMW will now support payment of Bitcoins for their services.

The tweet said:

“Stephen James is now accepting Bitcoin for the purchase of your new BMW! Contact us today to find out more about how you can use Bitcoin to walk away with a brand-new Vehicle #bitcoin #bitpay.”

The article isn't saying BMW car dealership but ...Stephen James... a car dealership based in South-East England

THat's how FUD is being born. This reminds me of chinese whispers, if you know that game. One guy writes about a dealership in England, the other one makes threads saying that BMW accepts BTC Cheesy Have mercy people! Are you really retarded to the point where reading a short text becomes a struggle? More sleep and less drugs, OP. I also heard that eating nuts works wonders for the brain.

Personally I don't think the idea of individual vendors accepting BTC(particularly through payment processors) is a very exciting thing in 2018. In 2013 it was somewhat interesting. But even back then people weren't very excited because it just meant that these vendors were instantly selling for fiat via their payment processors. So the market would even dip on such news often enough.

That is just a reseller, this is not official otherwise BMW could announce that before, that is the reason of why this is probably fake or missleading news, but to be honest, it would be good to hear that they are accepting bitcoin, but it will take some time

So again there is hype from which nothing results. It's still unknown if someone bought a BMW from an authorized dealer. I cann't find a statement from BMW, they accept bitcoin payments.

Like seriously. This is really good to hear. Lets all hail the BMW company. They are really promoting cryptocurrency. I am hoping that the rest of the companies will try and follow the suit in order to uplift bitcoin to next level. All the same I will try and research more and see.

5 months ago a deluxe car showroom in China, showed the possibility of bitcoins, eth and bitcon cash payment.
So the possibility of buying a car with crypto are not new.

This is just an amazing. Bitcoin is really moving far and the future is bright. I believe in no time most companies will start to also follow the same step as BMW has started. Bitcoin is really the future currency. There is no doubt.

Wow,it's really incredible news (now I'll do research on other articles). a company as big as BMW will give even more confidence to cryptocurrencies. still skeptical people may start to be more interested in this type of payment. awesome

This is the very good news because of these kind of big Automobile company accepting bitcoin as a payment then definitely we can say in future bitcoin replace fiat currency and soon we will hear some more big and little brands will accept bitcoin so now is clear in future we will use bitcoin digital currency, who is telling bitcoin is scam then see what happen in upcoming years.
