BNB is backed by Binance's growth. As long as it remains the top 1 crypto exchange, BNB's price keeps growing. Yeah, I wanna see some other exchange to surpass Binance, but the fact that they are being "hacked" day by day makes Binance's position hard to be replaced.

People don't hate BNB, people hate CZ: they way he grows Binance, the way he de-lists many coins and the way he becomes so famous and successful. To be exactly, it's jealous.
