Why do you think that such board is needed? Because everyone knows that Craig Wright is Satoshi.
Seriously, such board would be heaven for spammers. You would see how creative spammers are. Imagine how many stupid questions they can ask and how many conspiracy theories they can make. We don't know that much about Satoshi, so it opens room for pointless speculation which leads nowhere.

Poster boards for beautiful women and lodging boards for the bitcointalk community.

Is it necessary.

We already have a board that would fit these threads just perfectly! It's called Archival.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=59.0

These threads should be in the trash where they belong. Extensive time and effort has been dedicated by intelligence agencies, forensics and big data groups, independent reporters etc, and nobody has gotten past naming the few usual suspects, e.g. Dorian Nakamoto, Craig Wright etc.

Only spammers pay these threads any attention.

I have a better idea.

1 board for Satoshi Identity.
1 board for every one claim to be Satoshi
1 board for every one trying to find Satoshi.
1 board for regulations
1 board for discussing about adoption of bitcoin.
1 board for discussing about anonymity and decentralization.
1 board for comparing bitcoin with banks
1 board for discussing whether should buy bitcoin now or not.
1 board for discussing effect of BAKKT on bitcoin price
1 board for comparing bitcoin with gold and stock market
1 board for prediction of bitcoin's price in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2030.

I can add 100+ others too.

You forgot the board for posting threads about Quantum Computing killing Bitcoin.

Additionally we need a board discussing why ${insert_altcoin} will replace Bitcoin in the near future. That one is tricky because it would have to get renamed every couple weeks or so. You could probably automate it with a weekly cronjob pulling a coin at random from CoinMarketCap's top 50 though.

Thought the question rang a bell: Have a whole forum for the Satoshi topics. I must say that Bitcoin Discussion does have more live threads on the matter that seems fit, but the effect comes and goes, or sways from identity to private keys and back. Some are longstanding resurfaced threads, others are new to the wave of the latest quantum news, others try to deter from dox speculation, and so on. In any case, not substantial enough for a whole dedicated childboard, but often an overcooked topic.

There are currently 18 threads naming Satoshi (nominally, not as a unit) in live threads during this September on Bitcoin Discussion (on the first 8 pages). That is nearly a whole page (perhaps a few more could be locked):

Did Satoshi think that quantum computers will exist?
We still don't have any idea about the real Satoshi, stop false info
Quantum supremacy and Satoshi blocks

Craig Wright really is Satoshi Nakamoto?
"Who is Satoshi?" Should we put an end to this discussion?
Who is Satoshi Nakamoto?
Satoshi Nakamoto holds 980,000 Bitcoins.. does anyone know their addresses?
Solotoshi is Satoshi
Still "Finding Satoshi" then ...

I totally agree with others that creating board for all topic will create a big problem for this forum. If the topic is really good and giving some good knowledge then it can be accepted but what OP is telling is worthless topic to create a new board.

I completely doubt that they would make a separate board for something that doesn't have that much demand, and not to mention that it's a topic that's frowned upon by the community in the first place. There's a lot more productive things to do in this world than to speculate who Satoshi really is. Tongue

Can we not respect someone wish? Satoshi wanted him to stay anonymous and let him have his wish. He left us his legacy and let's embrace it. I really do not like people who are after Satoshi's identity.

Lol

Doing that is basically the same as officializing an « investigation » on satoshi’s identity. I guess that’s what the Bitcoin Discussion board is for - discuss about thing related to BTC.

Imagine if we create a new board for every « trend topic ».

I could see those types of posts being put in Off-Topic or Bitcoin Discussion but not really anywhere else. I just don't see there being enough legitimate information involved and interest for there to be a separate board just for this topic, and it's all really speculation in the end that's already been thoroughly enough analyzed already. There's a ton of stuff posted here every day that doesn't need its own category.

Those threads have no importance and shouldn't have a separate board. Instead they should be deleted or locked as they bring no value to the forum and almost all possible scenarios regarding his identity have been discussed before.

Every day someone posts a thread about who they think SN id and why it can't be so and so.  Can we have a separate board/bin to put all these threads in?  They are very tedious.
