Any websites out there that let you bet on board games playing against actual people?  I know there used to be one but it was shutdown quite awhile ago.  Let me know if anyone has something out that is similar!

What kind of boardgames are you into? As there are a lot of online websites that are created by random people that function just like the board games or some really famous card games like the cards against humanity. But if it is like the monopoly or backgammon then I am also would like to know some links about it.

Well i think he is reffering to competitive board games like chess or damath like that. I was actaully playing at chess.com last december and i dont know how is the update today. There are bots to play with that develops depending on how many times you play with it and if you make an account in there site you can actually play with live humans. And you can also chat.

The board games are any other games like chess, card games, pool games etc. if we play in online we are not sure that our opponent is a human or a bot. So whenever you like to play P2P games better select well reputed sites or else their bot will cheat you and make you lose money. You want to experience board games you need to play in a real casino you will get that thrill and excitement in the game. In online there is no more exitment.

This would be so fun if it actually existed, but I'm afraid that there aren't any providers for these kinds of games.
It would also be kinda difficult to implement this in a gambling context and it would require a lot of custom programming and licenses from the game manufacturers.

Most people would want to play boardgames they know, not some newly invented game.

I'd like to know this also. The added thrill of gambling on top of wanting to win anyway should clearly push a board game to the next level!

Risk would be very epic, but I guess it's could be difficult to set limits on timing out, etc.

I don't think there's such thing like online board games that you have an opponent that's real people. I'm thinking developer having an issue in that kind of system because it would be loaded for a website traffic so i think if there's such thing like that they will release an 3rd party application where you can play with a real people just like online games.

I don't think there are so many gambling sites that have this kind of these. Especially in bitcoin. Maybe there is some for fiat but not really in bitcoins. Since this is gambling, I don't also think that there are a lot of people looking at playing these. Not sure if a lot of people will enjoy it, maybe there will not be so much playing it anyway.

You mean sports betting on indoor games or like you said board games, yes there are a couple of websites that take such bets. However,I checked with both of them, neither of them provide bets on same games. You gotta specify which game exactly you're looking for and I should link you to a appropriate website.

I am looking for like board games like monopoly, backgammon, risk, stuff like that.  I am looking to bet BTC on them on a fair website.  Not sure if there is even one around but thought I would ask
I only know, there is  someone conducts a survey to know the interest of these game, if many of devotees he intend to create the site but until now, i never heard or seen any sites that provide this game.
Ive seen that too regarding on the survey. We dont know if he did continue or just trash it off since the interest isnt really enough. For board games its really an interesting game specially on monopoly.I love to play this with bitcoin with other player.Im wondering why any investors didnt tend to make one since its not really critical to make such site and im sure it would be a hit once launched.

I would try some board games like monopoly but with implemented provably fair concept of rolling the dice. If its for fun it's doesn't matter but if the games gambling parts, this is very important and the main different to fiat games.
Monopoly game can also be developed with provably fair concept just like dice. What I think is hurdle for most of the casino to integrate monopoly like board games in their platform is legal problem associated with gambling license.

I haven't searched for such casino deeply because I don't like to play those board games.

I would like to play a monopoly with Bitcoin too. Unfortunately, there is no site offering such service.
Board games are not that popular so developing a working version of known board games and implement Bitcoin + provably fair mechanics will be a risky move.
No wonder that there are not many casino owners who want to venture on that unknown ground.
It's not worth it to develop because of the pvp part waiting times could go forever and the game is also time consuming might take more than an hour unless your opponent quits the game. I don't know how would they put the house edge on that or they'll take a small cut from the winners payout.

I believe on this kind of gamed which is PvP games, most of the admin never put on the house edge, that is why they say this kind of games have 0 house edge. But what they do is just give lower payout of course with some cut from the winners, they just making some platform for us to play. This is what I understand, and I think people are not really into this PvP games. Many PvP sites closed just because not enough traffic

Thanks for the thoughts.  I do play at Gambit.com and I used to play there when there was bitcoins involved.  Unfortunately they don't do that anymore.  I personally don't think gambit.com is a legit site anyway so its probably a good thing.

Mate you made me remember my childhood with these board games especially with monopoly. AFAIK, still there's no site thats offering these type of games, no other PvP games except poker. I would love to see these type of games and hoping they would allow observer just for watching.

Now that you mentioned it, I've also been looking for boardgame style RPGs where you can pay to enter tournaments or bet on games against others. I'm talking about those old PC games like the historical simulation series by Kou Shibusawa (KOEI)... Uncharted Waters, Romance of the 3 Kingdoms, Liberty or Death etc. As far as I know, there aren't even monopoly or chess sites that accept Bitcoin bets. Niche industry waiting to be exploited people?

In fact, if anyone's a fan of these games and willing to try an online PvP, hit me up. It's turn based so you can take 1 minute or 1 week, doesn't matter.

It seems like a nice idea to play the nostalgic board games out there, however you'll find that the companies owning them will only allow trademark usage with proper licensing. Bitcoin is still a major grey area for many big companies, so it'll take a few more years before they hit the mainstream. I've seen Monopoly games on a national lottery website for my country, however it does not involve bitcoin.

You won't find gambling for games such as monopoly anywhere online (well no where well known). It's still under patented ownership meaning that you can't actually reproduce any part of the game to make a similar copy.

If you want something just for fun, you can look at gambit.com who provide backgammon and dominos at least and their version of monopoly (it's not great though, although I don't really understand how it works).

Unfortunately there aren't any pvp betting games like backgammon or chess to gamble with bitcoin, even if there was any, bots/ai wouldn't let you win.
you can play here (gambit.com) some nice pvp games with your friends, you can ask your friends to wager bitcoin, if you win he sends you bitcoin or vice versa.

It would be wonderful if a gambling site adds in board games for players to play against each other for bitcoins, I will be interested to play chess or monopoly for entertainment purpose, and if there is a prize pool by all the players that takes part in the game, it would definitely make the game more exciting.
