Thank you my senior I really appreciate these post and felt relief knowing someone care about the interest of Newbie I think the problem here is the function of misconceptions or rather wrong impression some beginners have and these results to plagiarism, scam and other illegal acts like you mentioned. I am of a strong believe that if newbie’s are given the right guidance and forum to sharpen their mindset and trigger the love for Cryptocurrency the issues of plagiarism and scam will be eradicated. There should be more of similar forums like these so all beginners can keep their self busy and positively charged. Thank you

Bump to this thread.

Until now I was not able to give the merits reserved for the newbie that has no merit yet. I guess this thread need to be visible for them to check. It seems not easy to motivate newbie to not jump or join at bounty hunting without even considering the forum rules and regulations.

I think that what you do is an initiative and a very good thing, as you can through this method encourage beginners to write distinctive and useful topics. It is better that you give all the points you have available to beginners who deserve these points and I hope that I will do such an initiative when I have merit points in the future

I would really appreciate if i could get a merit because i'm trying to expand my business.
Have been googling and finding a way to get merit but it seems tough!
Without a merit i can only post links of my pictures and that doesnt seem to make my thread appealing ahaha! Please help sir! Give the newbies a chance to shine  Grin
If you want OP or other members here to give you a merit, then you should post something with a good content, something relevant, or informative, or useful. It could be a mere response, or a thread. Just take a look at those other newbies who posted here. They humbly presented their posts which they think is merit-worthy. Don't just ask for it. If you want to have one, work for it. Eventually, someone will notice your hard work and it'll all pay off.

I always try to give my merit to lower ranked members even though their posts might not be of superb quality, thinking it would give them some kinda of incentive to keep up engaging here. Of course I do not condone spammy posts.

In this manner, I am holding 1 smerit to give back to newbie to boost the morale of the user.
By the way, why don't you have certain criteria for the post that deserve to get merits? I think you should be quite selective to give the merits to Newbies. The reason isn't only about the quality who deserves merits, but I see that you also have limited merits for now. Don't give them to low-quality posts, optimize the merits for newbies who have the chance to be good posters.

Yeah this is why I still hold merits and waiting for the right newbie to receive for it. I am not in hurry because I have few merits left and that you are right that I have to optimize in awarding to the newbies that are deserving to receive it. Anyway, I know that high rank users here were also here checking to support the thread. If they found some posts from newbie that are worth it to receive it then they could award it instead. For now, I do believe that there are only few newbies here checking this section often and learning about cryptocurrency.

<…> I will check this thread again and see if other users might agree with giving a merit on you. <…>
It’s you prerogative, and a diversity in criteria is generally a good thing when awarding Merits. My personal take is that there is no particular rush to award the first Merit to an account. It took me a month and a half to get my first merit, so I may be biased on the speed thingy here …

The account you quoted was created today, and has yet written nothing memorable. There are some more intakes I’d consider seeing the posting history, but that’s just me being alert.

<…>
Do not beg for merit excessively.
I wasn’t aware of the use of the term "excessively" there. In practical terms, it’s often replaced by "ever" in many people’s handbook.

"Don't beg for merits". If you have a business of any sort and you want to make posts about it with images, buy a copper membership and you can then make your service thread with images as you like, if you don't want to buy a copper membership, make HQ posts to earn merits, mind you, begging for merits is against the rules and you will prolly be ignored by MS's and users if you keep up with that.
Do not beg for merit excessively.

I'm sorry if you mistook my post for begging. I was merely just asking for some help from you guys who have been on btcforum for a long time. If you dont give the merit i totally understand because you guys earned it. I will work my way up if i have too. Just asking for a helping hand. Peace mate!
Now that you have told me about copper membership i will look more into that option. Thank you

If only you did not ask or beg for it. The instruction above mention was to give merit for those newbie who has no merit yet which is you are qualified. I was also considering average posters which you I think you are more qualified. However, begging for it is not a good way to receive merit. I was in doubt if it is appropriate to give you a merit. I will check this thread again and see if other users might agree with giving a merit on you. Honestly there are more newbies that are deserving to receive one but sad to say that they are not here often to check threads created for them. This is one of the problem with newbie because they jump directly into bounty hunting and in your case. You might be a prospect as well because of your attitude towards achieving something. Effort is the Key!

I have limited merits here and I am only giving merits to those users that who had not yet receive any merit but are doing well in the forum. Maybe an average users that are not also posting bounty reports. All I can do is to help those newbie that could have the potential to be good and instead of posting bounty reports they will going to post in regards to cryptocurrency to learn more about it and often visit this section to get more ideas about users sharing information related to scam or fraud and scam investment scheme and how possibly to avoid it.

It is so sad that newbie mindset mostly is to join bounty hunting instead of learning first here about cryptocurrency.

As I understand, receiving merit mostly needed to grow in rank (and not just a an instrument to support someone post) and forum ranks are valued mostly in bounties. So those which "mindset is only to join bounty" are the ones who care about receiving merit. Real newbie, that wants to learn cryptocurrency doesnt need merit, he doesnt even need a registered account here, he-he.
I can't agree with you because if they really need merit then jumping to bounty hunting is a big No No. Who would like to reward you merit when you were shitposting or making a mess in tye forum? Nobody like you if you will going to behave like that. Yes mot bounty hunters need to rank up and find merits but since they lack of.dedication just to promote their scam.project here in the forum that causes more investors or users will get scam with it in the scam project promoted.

It is so sad that newbie mindset mostly is to join bounty hunting instead of learning first here about cryptocurrency. There are many helpful threads here shared by some expert users that are useful in the learning process. Besides, it is not only cryptocurrency being shared here but also to the scam and faud activities that could be process for one to learn from it and how it could be prevented or avoided.
Well, sad but true. What I think happening is that they are misdirected from their goal. Instead of using this forum as a source of knowledge to have a wonderful start of their crypto journey, they got easily blinded by the opportunity of earning made by campaigns and bounties. They're attracted too much with "fast money" that's why they tend to jump on joining despite of knowing nothing (only small to be at least).

Keep the right mindset dude, I hope you will be able to convince more newbies to do the right thing Smiley.
It is so sad that most newbies do not visit this section often when in fact this should be the section that can help them a lot. This thread along is being made for them to boost their morale and to give the first merit they can receive knowing that they are not the type of user that will directly jump into bounty hunting and spam the forum.
I agree on you somehow but I think there's nothing wrong of visiting with the other relevant threads either because that are the places where helpful knowledge lies within. When I was a newbie, my mentor told me that I should only stay on our local board. I followed him but for not a very long time, I explore the forum and I'm glad I did it. Jumping from one board to another doesn't necessarily mean that you're a spammer because everything still depends on your discipline. If you don't know what to say then refuse typing, just be a silent reader and use what you learned on the next discussion you deal with. As simple as that Smiley.

Thank you for the support and well help the newbie to visit here often and boost their morale to rank up by being good in the forum. I might also change the category to give  the chances to all users from newbie to jr. member. For now the category remains because I have limited merits. However, since you too are here and supported then I bet you can help a lot. The only problem now is that most newbie are bounty hunters so it will take more time for us to see and merit a newbie here.

Thank you Newbie for increasing attention.  What I think is that if you don't know the rules in the forum first, you will never be able to do anything good.  We can increase the rank by helping people and giving them some good information.  Thank you so much for encouraging us to post something like this.  I wish you a long life.  And I expect you to have a much bigger rank in this forum.

LOL

A post trying to motivate newbies to post on this section and to post on this thread but all the replies are from higher-ranked members so far.
Yeah the reason why this happen because newbies are confused and do not know where to start in learning cryptocurrency. They all end up searching for how to learn on bounty hunting and less likely to visit this very important section for them to learn. The purpose of the cryptocurrency was defeated because of this new users that are not been guided accordingly resorted to scamming and doing fraud or worst become a victim of scam and fraud. In my opinion it would be a good thing to let them lure them here by giving them their first merit so as they will keep coming back into this section to where they can rely on to ask whenever they are confused on certain topics especially in basic technical aspects in cryptocurrency.

Educating them here would less likely to get more victims on scamming and getting away from the fraud activities. Educating them here is they key that there will be less likely to get scam. We had a lots of users here extending there help through extensive sharing of information and ideas on scamming and fraud activities which newbie and all of the user can learn from.

Newbie most likely are not aware of this section and they do not tend like to visit because they could not getting anything here. But if we could give them the motivation to get their first merit here then higher chances they can keep on coming back into this section and could start a thread of their inquiries and confusions regarding cryptocurrency and not by those good for nothing scammers outside in this section.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
This is a thread that is quite interesting, maybe it can be said for newbies to do quality posts that they are good at anywhere, maybe there will be a lot of contributions for newbies who have done quality posts and I see here a lot of interactive ones where many newbies grow with merit in can for me that is very extraordinary.

But what I have noticed now is that many newbies join this forum just to work on the bounty and of course this will increase the cheating that occurs even the catch continues non-stop because they keep greedy it up.

I hope this thread will be of much benefit and motivation for the newbie.

Bro @jademaxsuy, save your merit and don't give them that easily.

Don't distribute them with only a single posts from them because they can make one but that will not guaranteed them as an effective member here.

Everyone can make a single post that is informative but the question is, how long they will do that?
If there's no reward, will they continue to make posts like that?

It is true that just continue exploring this forum to find those users who truly deserve to earn a merit with their hardwork and effort.
The merit system is not moderated so that people can send it on to anyone and on post of any quality. However, give merit for low quality post in my opinion is not good idea as there are thousand of other quality posts that deserve merit.
The merit system has two function, first as a condition for rank-up and secondly as a reward for user who have good post quality. If you receive a merit for a quality post, you should also send it to other user quality post because thats how the merit system is supposed to work.

I admit that it is currently very difficult to get merit here, I have seen many posts where, in my opinion, merit could be given, but this post remains without a reward
Do your best and never complain. Everyone has their own point of view about the quality of user post, if they feel that the post is worthy then I am sure the merit source will not miss it.

Just tell them to always be a responsible user here, tell them to follow the rules and regulations here, and most importantly, make quality posts.

Merits are there if you truly deserve it, you should not give them instantly because you told them.

Obviously this time they will make a good posts because there is a reward.

It is much better to save them to those who really worked hard for it.

This is a good initiative by you OP because right here there are a lot of lower ranks today wand to earn merit but they are struggling to earn it. Just an addition it's better to make rules or quantification on giving smerits so you can push them to make a constructive post.

Also I want to share the thread created by LoyceV to help unmerited good post and I highly recommended to submit here if you see a good thread that deserves merit.

Sometime newbies rarely hangout here(those bounty hunters) on BH or those true bitcoiner dont actually care on the merit system and just post ihing on some useful thread like development and technical discussion thread that actually discuss something knowledgeable about bitcoin.

I saw many newbies there when I reading they dont seem to post here and beg about merits or ask about how to get one.

This is actually a very good idea. Support for newbies and their motivation for further good publications has been announced here for a long time. Unfortunately, many merit holders are very biased towards newcomers. There is no need to demand more from them than what they are capable of at first.
Let this be a regular post, well-voiced about understanding cryptocurrencies. Yes, it may have been said millions of times, but the phrase said by a beginner indicates the correct direction of his thought.
Let's be a little simpler in relation to them.

It is a good thing to do by sending smerit to newbies who are deserving to earn a single merit. There are a lot of newbies who earn merits and still not rank to jr. member. I think there will be more newbies who post good quality post that haven't receive any merit yet so this will be their chance to earn. Yeah it looks like there are few newbie who earn their merits.

As we all know that the best thing that could happen here in the forum is to get the first merit and I want to be the first one to give the merit on that user (newbie with no merits).

This is what I have mention above I like to be the user to give that newbie his first merit. Of course newbie that will always be here in this section for this is the most appropriate section for newbie to learn about cryptocurrency. There are many questions to ask for a newbie and I know many user will going to help. Cryptocurrency is a little bit confusing at first and this is why we need to boost their morale. You can help as well for I had only 1 smerit to give.

Most of the new members here probably are confused and do not know what to do. Most need guidance and do not know on how and where to start learning with cryptocurrency.
In every section of most boards, there is a first three pinned post written for better understanding of that particular section, this is the fact that newbies failed to do meanwhile it is written as pinned in beginners and help board to read before posting. If every new users should equip with that as a major priority, understanding the forum wouldn't have been a hard task as it regards as self guidance as well as self revolution.

Boosting morale of the newbies would be cool idea instead of making them believe that the forum could let them earn by joining bounty campaign. Most of the new members here probably are confused and do not know what to do. Most need guidance and do not know on how and where to start learning with cryptocurrency. This is the reason why some of the newbie after learning the basics like creating wallet, transferring crypto to exchange wallet and do the trading forgot what is the essence and purpose of cryptocurrency. More likely they are becoming hackers, fraudster and scammers taking advantage on the cryptocurrency decentralized system.

I do believe that all of it could be avoided if only we will allow the newbie to start with the scratch for advising them to make more post or replies in this section rather than browsing other section to which they will be having hard time to understand. As we all know that cryptocurrency is a little bit complicated at first but when does know the basic then it will be easier right then. The application also make it more difficult getting afraid to try especially if it is the first time to use like in transferring crypto from wallet to exchange or wallet to wallet.

Newbies could learn here all of those things in a slow and smooth process. The mindset here is very important. Most newbie were told the wrong ideology about the forum and that is how they can earn huge in the forum which is wrong. More newbies just wanted to join bounty hunting and excited to wear signature for them to count stake weekly compliance to get rewards. They only make the forum worst due to their spamming activity and even becoming a plagiarist for copying and pasting posts of others. So, I think it is a good idea to suggest them to visit more often in this section to continue learning about cryptocurrency(the basic questions asks). As we all know that learning cryptocurrency is not for all but it will be only to those who are interested to learn and come to search for information in regards to it.

In this manner, I am holding 1 smerit to give back to newbie to boost the morale of the user. As we all know that the best thing that could happen here in the forum is to get the first merit and I want to be the first one to give the merit on that user. Just want to get remembered by that user to remember me that I am the first guy to give the merit if he will rank up to higher positions.

Wanna give a try? Post your thread and I'll check and give your first merit.

update: 6 merits to give. First 6 newbie to recieve their first merits. Post your threads now.
