Thanks for this tool. It's very useful to have it as PM and I appreciate your work. I'm currently subscribed to a service that allows receiving notifications for merits and quotes but the issue with it is that these notifications simply go away once you click them. Maybe the OP bot could be upgraded to also have the option of notifying for thread responses and merits? Then it'd be a catch all service.

Use this telegram bot, it keeps track of mentions/quotes/merits, Ann: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/telegrambot-merit-watcher-and-mention-notification-bot-5209107

Also, regarding concerns users have had here, I think we should be appreciative of OP's efforts to create something useful. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. There's no direct harm that can come from being in the receiving end of a PM. As of having your IP grabbed from a website, I'd agree that it's a possibility but there isn't much that can be done with that alone. I wouldn't associate malice to that simply because of the username.

I sort of agree, literally every single website keeps track of your IP, you should stop using Internet if you want to get rid of it lol (or use vpn, most free ones are garbage tho and may do more harm than good). You are not entering any sensitive information either.

Your http isn't secure.

The problem is big, because if anyone controlling wifi router or part of the internet cable of a victim (for example - eddie13 will be our imaginary victim) then, this hacker (which in fact MITM attack) may use connection to your unprotected http site as a bridge to get all information and sensitive cookie from a victim to use it on another site (for example, secured bank payment site or even blockchain.info or anything else).

Attacker just will split connection of our poor eddie13 into 3, one from him to you, second from him to your http site and third to bank site (which is protected by https). Using MITM http attack, hacker will get everything needed to log in into eddie's bank account (even if this secured by TLS or SSL).

There enough free ssl sertificates, for example this one - https://letsencrypt.org/

I never clicked on any of his links.. I only posted "subscribe"...

And yes it has been working good..

Edited:
I refresh my old knowledges about that, and attacker may steal session keys if http and https are opened in one browser at the same time. Also, through http request (which attacker obviously will modify) he can steal cookies, or try to make downgrade attack (when secure https connection is replaced by insecure http)

He uses someone else's nickname, puts ~ at the beginning and registers as his own. He's an impostor.

When he registered his account, he created 4 accounts with ~ at the beginning. And he used the nicknames of previously created users everywhere. Plus it's a troll that asked other users to give him as many negative tags as possible in his topic.

Thanks for the heads up, that's kinda messed up. Now you mentioned it, the OP's account has more than 8 negative Trusts.

What you mean by registering with others names? Im wanted to Pm him soon for the bot but as you mentioned this warning I'm thinking to abort and wait first for some assurance that the bot is safe and okay to use. IP location maybe hard to locate but still want to see OPs intention hope there is nothing that make us users worried about using this bot.

but, can not be changed the duration of time to mention the post, 24 hours is too limited in my opinion.
Can you add options to adjust the mention time of the post you want to search for?
For example, the maximum mention of posts that can be tracked is only 7 days or unlimited time.

I have an archive of posts only from February 1, 2020. Soon I will do a search throughout the database, not just 24 hours

I would get notification after my I make post and after someone quote my post?

You will receive a message if you are quoted or if your name appears anywhere in the text with leading spaces or with symbol @

Examples:
"blabla LTU_btc blalba" message will send
"blabla @LTU_btc blalba" message will send
"blabla@LTU_btc blalba" message will send

"blablaLTU_btc blalba" message will NOT send

How about hyperlink of your username? Will it be also be notified?

Should be noticed cryptoaddictchie if it will begin and will end with spaces

Be very careful when visiting this website and remember that your IP information will be given to them,

All right. Any website receives information about the user's IP address. forbtt.tk; bpip.org; loyce.club; google.com All sites

Users who care about hiding their IP addresses should use VPN services.

BTW about Ratimov. This guy made a name for himself with senseless tons of reports on ancient (2017 and later) violations. Do not take seriously his analytical abilities.

I developed a bot that parsing the forum messages and sends PM with a link to messages where the user is mentioned. The bot is triggered if the message contains a username with leeding spaces or with the @ sign.

Like to clarify only messages with @ sign wil be shown up in the bot? How about hyperlink of your username? Will it be also be notified?

Be careful with his sites and bots. He's not to be trusted.  It's a troll that registers accounts with other people's names in large quantities. He takes other people's nicknames, puts ~ in the beginning and registers as his own. It's a potential scammer.

You have valid concern. But I think it's not easy to find location using IP address. For example, my IP location is shown in completely different city than I live. As I understand, it shows location of datacenter of ISP.
This is correct for ordinary person. But if you're an FBI agent then things are different. Security agency may submit a request to your provider and it will be obliged to provide all your registration data as well as your session details, including your physical location.

It's useful tool. I tried your website with my username and just found posts made by me in last 24 hours. So, as I understand, I would get notification after my I make post and after someone quote my post?
Be very careful when visiting this website and remember that your IP information will be given to them, which can potentially be used to tie your account name to your location.

I have doubts about the intentions of its creator, but admittedly I may be worrying about nothing.
