just re-posting what i sent to Jim - this is relevant to Cap currency - because you guys get to decide if Jim fixes the forum or not -, if you go back to him and tell him to do it , then he will.
he will not listen to just me probably - but alternatively , i will go the the other guy , he's around here somewhere - and tell him to make his forum look more like Jim's , and implement my reform, then unfortunately natural market forces will cause that forum to become popular - then after that Jim will likely reform his forum.
but by that time , perhaps the other forum will be more popular.
so its all up to my new Cap Currency friends !

i notice the Ban/move hammer came down on your Caps avatar Topic - should we fix Jims forum now ?
I know you don't have anything official to do with it , but im a politician John , we could help him understand that it helps the whole community.
the fix is really quite simple:
- He just has to move everything inside a forum called Cryptocointalk -
- then in there have the relevant interesting things he has as click-able sub boards.
- leave [ANN] and [WTS] - in the forum for now, but sub them later if they are getting out of hand.
- let every currency have an official self moderated topic - ( but leave the info boards he has made, they are in a click-able sub )
do you want me to explain why?
because information is like electrons , humans are made out of the same things - information has to pool in an area , there it gains resistance and innovation comes from that, so that forum Cryptocointalk is where all the info will pool - his forum is popular but just disjointed and hurting the information flow.
if he just does what i say , there will be ample room on he front page for a second set of adverts - and a new forum is born that will become the forum for cryptocurrency.
and as a bonus i'll not request the Plaque in my honor for fixing it -

When i try compile the git download of the wallet i get the following error:

Why'd you guys name your coin "Bottle Caps"? Marketing is just as important as the specs and services and its still early enough to change your name
Ha yes! It would be crazy to name your coin after something that inspires collectors all around the world for the last hundred + years.

What a waste of resources and hash power, havent you newbs realized yet that this is just a copy of a copy of a copy, and will dies out within the week....... lol
Thanks for your support we as I have said before yes we are a copy of Novacoin with some bits of the improvements found in Bitgem. So waht did we do different?
1. Zero Premine
2. 0.25 Starting difficulty so no instamine
3. Super fair release
4. Its a Proof of Stake coin so it is 51% attack resistant
5. Did you know Proof of Stake earns interest? 1.5% on bottlecaps in wallet
So not much to scam really since well there are only 15840 total coins in circulation and the Bottlecap Foundation premined zero of them if anything were giving the ones we do mine away.
So support a fair release on a stable coin that will be trade able soon enough.

With all POS coins you can not POS Mint or Solo mine with a "locked" wallet. It has to be either Unencrypted or unlocked if it is. A more in depth explanation of POS can be found here. Please note it is a ver rough draft. It is also very simplified as POS is a complicated st=ystem. Balthazar has pointed out a secton that needs to be added regarding checkpoints. It will be updated and edited soon. Enjoy

I love the name of this
I love the whole idea of bottlecaps it was a great currency as a kid , why not as an adult I do not understand about pools or blockchains and all , so I am not sure what I can do for it
