I will trade physical bottle caps for bottlecap coins. If possible, I will attempt to upload some images to see if there is any interest.  I am a firm believer that a coin's namesake should be the thing you can buy with it. :-D

Sweet!

What`s that for a monitor?

Could you make a Step-By-Step Guide for even more *nix nublet`s like you , please Smiley

It is a 3.5" touchscreen.  It was a real PITA to get working but its cool now that it works.

I'll try and make a 1-2-3 guide.  Pretty much I followed the same steps as with Hyperstake RPi (good guide exists) and then had to go searching for answers when it failed.  First step was the Hobonickels RPi posts on Cryptocointalk from the main man Tranz himself...that solved some issues and created new ones...after much more searching found a post in the DMD thread from Pallas that had the rest of the req tweaks.

It is still syncing the blockchain...about 75% done....

I tried everything, combined blocks etc, but Bottlecaps is by far using most CPU compared to other Proof of Stake coins 10x -15x higher CPU usage

Here compared to Hyperstake(HYP) and PayCon(CON)

Sometimes it´s using over 50% of my Intel i5 CPU, which is quite much for a staking wallet.

Think "Litestake" would be a great asset for Bottlecaps!

Let´s get it done Wink

Wewt!  Finally got bottlecaps running on Raspberry Pi B+.  It has started to sync.  Smiley

Took a bit of work for a *nix nublet like me to troubleshoot the required changes.
  • find and download scrypt-arm.S and add to src dir
  • makefil.unix -> remove -msse2; add code lines for scrypt-arm.S (use same format as existing code for scrypt-x86.S)
  • scryp_mine.cpp -> #include ; change #elif defined(__i386__) to #else

seems you are a genius i am following your traces NOW Smiley
Credit goes to Pallas from the DMD thread, the change #elif to #else was the missing piece of the puzzle for me.

Tranz,

is it possible to implement ddditions to the Blockchain

LiteStake - LiteStake is a rebuild of the Proof of Stake hashing which consumes 100-1000 times less CPU power by hashing less often.

I think this would have a huge impact of the CPU Power!

Add Litestake and Themes -> then party like its 1999.

Yeah, would love to see CAP advance further because i really really love this coin.
I think it´s the combination of the way to collect bottlecaps through cryptocurrency , solid dev and features.

Speaking of features, would love to see following:

-minimize weight consumption (Litestake)

-themes

-automatic splitblock

If little bit "crowdfunding" is needed to pay devs, let use their code, i would donate.

I can´t code great but i know with little bit of BTC , good ideas and knwing good people a lot can made happen Wink

When i download and extract the 2.1 wallet from github my virusscanner says it's infected with a trojan.

BottleCaps-gt.exe > Virusname Trojan.Win32.IRCbot.eye

Think false alarms, but i´m not 100% sure - only 99% ^^

Could be it´s using some ports/code that trigger those antivirusprograms.
Which Antivirus are you using?

A quick google search brought up this.

Backdoor.Win32.IRCBot (also known as W32/Checkout (McAfee), W32.Mubla (Symantec), W32/IRCBot-WB (Sophos), and Backdoor.Win32.IRCBot.aaq (Bydoon Center)[1]) is a backdoor computer worm that is spread through MSN Messenger and Windows Live Messenger

When i let Microsoft Defender (the inbuild antivirus program) search the bottlecaps files - nothing shows up though:

Concerning CryptoCoinExplorer:  cap.cryptocoinexplorer.com

Over the last month or so, there has been more downtime then normal. This is due to server restarts by the server provider.

Before the recent incidents, server restarts were a relatively rare occurrence. When CCE 3.5 was written last year, unattended restarts were not a major consideration.
I do not run a startup script for CCE servers as I prefer to manually restart CCE 3.5 explorers.
This is to ensure the startup goes smooth as there are a couple of issues, though rare, that could come up.

Development of CCE 4 started a few months ago and the database loader is at a state that it could be deployed.
The CCE 4 database loader is very restart friendly and also much more fault/error tolerant then the CCE 3.5 loader.

In light of these recent events, I am going to write a modified version of the CCE 4 database loader that will work with CCE 3.5 databases.

This will allow me to confidently use a server startup script to start the explorers unattended whenever there is a restart.

The plan is to have this deployed over the weekend/early next week.

My apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.

Go to settings, then options, then click on the display tab. You have to enable display coin control features in this area. After this in the send coin tab you will have a coin control area where you can view the weight of your blocks ect.

Thank you very much! Although I'm not new to Caps, I've been looking for this for ages. You saved my staking Smiley

Where is the coin control feature located in the wallet? Or is it called somewhat else than 'coin control'? Can't find it.
