try

Code:
--gpu-powertune 10 --gpu-engine 1090 --gpu-memclock 1500 -I 12 -w 128 --thread-concurrency 12288 -g 2
maybe try lowering TC by 2048...

it gives me 410+KH/s!!!

EDIT: my driver crashes either if I'll move TC to 14336 or 10240 OR make -w 64 OR make -w 256 OR make -I 13 :-D or (surprisingly) -g 1
but I suggest you to play with values a little bit more. cos if my 7970 can push 400+KH/s, yours will make *AT LEAST* 350+ ;-)

eddyfitz you are the man!  For some reason my miners won't start at thread-concurrency higher than 8192.  I also tried lowering the memory speed.  Also display driver crashes still above intensity 11.  But just by dropping the worksize down to 64, I'm now getting 280's Thank you Cheesy

300 YAC for you!

strange, but it started:

Code:
--gpu-powertune 10 --gpu-engine 1090 --gpu-memclock 1500 -I 12 -w 128 --thread-concurrency 12288 -g 2

412-418 KH/s

note the mem frequency - on higher frequencies -I 12 and TC over 8k makes driver fail....

done some tuning....
Code:
--gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 641 -I 12 -w 128 --thread-concurrency 12288 -g 2

~380-385KH/s

sorry but is yac worth any gpu power?
the main 'thing' was that it was cpu only. now its for gpu's too.
so that killed it.

No it's bringing YAC back to life.  The high nvalue destroyed YAC when it was CPU only.

True, GPU might have this coin.

Botnets won't be as profitable to mine with anymore if a good GPU miner comes out for YAC.

it outputs ~250KH/s on my asus DCU2 7970 TOP

Thanks, yeah I use those settings too and have the same cards.  OC settings don't count because this software is different and it has something to do with other settings.  7970s should be faster than 150Kh/s.  If you do have a magic number though that provides a significant boost without raising vddc over 1225 or mem volts over 1550, yes that would count.

I've found 1090/1500 to bring 750-760Kh/s on scrypt coins.

Why would OC settings not count? That is a crucial part of milking your hashrate.

It depends on what exact version you have of the 7970, but I have a Sapphire 3gb Dual-X
and use:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
CLS
COLOR 20

cgminer --scrypt -o -u . -p --failover-only -o -u . -p --intensity 13 --worksize 256 --thread-concurrency 8192 -g 2

kinda crucial that core clock is 70% or less of mem clock(most seem to like 1500)

**Bounty claimed by Eddyfitz and Aggrophobia**  300-400s are now working on the YAC scrypt which is fantastic.  of course though if higher speed is found, more bounty is available.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Right now my 7970s get 150Kh/s using;

--worksize 256 --lookup-gap 2 -I 11 --thread-concurrency 8192

I offer 200 YAC per 100Kh/s increase on a 7970 for whoever first figures this out.

OS is Win8x64, SDK 2.8

Overclock settings don't count, unless you have a magic number.  As I've tried a few ratios, etc. and feel I've found 1090/1500 to work best on my 7970s for scrypt coins.  1050/1500 is also good.

The trouble some of us seem to be having is anything over intensity 11 causes display driver crash.  And anything over 8192 and it won't mine.

Maybe it's something very simple, or a unique combo of numbers, maybe it's not.  Smiley

**please note this is for the yacoin scrypt, that's why OC settings don't count, these cards get 750-760Kh/s using 1090/1500 on regular scrypt coins no problem.
