That is very unfortunate to that guy. I guess those tokens will be like burned forever, its stupid not to really take time to save his private keys to recover in case something happen to his phone.

What's the rush, distribution is over a month away... I wish I had the issue of waiting, I completely regret not participating in the Eidoo signature.

The rules are quite strict as they should be, should be safe to upgrade as you did though. But i dont dare to do anything without bounty managers approval hehe.
