Its hard to find good project and you can't predit what happen that project in future.
So, before you want to join Bounty, you must check it carefully and don't forget to always check it every time.
Because only check 1 time is not enough to trust that project.
Checking is not the matter, there are some projects that looks cool with strong team,  but  failed to deliver, nearly 80% of bounties are scam, they end up sending worthless tokens to participants, one of the best way is to join a campaign that is being handled by a reputable manager,
Yes, now I see that not only investors who are less interested in a project, but also bounty hunters. it is due to working long months, and when the token list is on the market, the price is so low. Even though it has done enough research, there are still many projects like that. Well, I can't say much about this, because the decision to participate or not return to each of us

it's sad to be a bounty hunter for now, I miss 2016-2017. The last coin from the good bounty is MB8coin, after that I got nothing but junk tokens. but for now I am not desperate and remain a bounty hunter, because I am sure that among the 1000 projects there must be one of them that is real / paying later on. That's all I based on the analysis to minimize the bounty scam and investors trapped in it.

------------
my suggestion for this lately is to follow the IEO bounty, because in my opinion it is more secure than ICO.

You're right, mate. In observing the development and growth of the project we must be willing to do periodic checks to find out the latest news about their progress and verify it, because in some cases there are projects that only spread the word without doing anything, what I mean here is that they do not work according to what they said. So, make sure they really do it.

majority of bounty are scam they take months of your hard work and give you a worthless token, sometimes you work 3moths just to get 9m token worth $2. They are using you to enrich their selves it's called 21st century slavery.
Avoid any token pool less than $1m .they are worthless at the end.
Be careful of newbie bounty manager.
Avoid Ico bounty, too risky.
I have millions of worthless token in my wallet I worked hard for it, don't waste your time be careful..  I love you Son

Thats why some reputed Manager don't accept token payments. They only accept btc as a payments.this is true nowdays its really hard to find good bounty. Sometimes bounty Manager scamed people. So next time before joining any bounty campaign check the Manager.yahoo is one of the reputed manager in bitcointalk and i love to join his bounty campaign but it's really hard to take a space in his bounty.

Yahoo now handles a lot of gambling bounties with BTC paid and no longer manages ICO bounties.
And absolutely we have to really avoid allocating with a $ 1 million bounty reward that is the same as there is no price, Seeing the bounty manager is also very important because the Manager has his own analysis before launching the bounty.
Yeah $1 million is not enough if the coin price is lower than ico price. I saw many ico whou reserved more tha that but finally they can't even reach the ico price. I have so many coins,if i calculate with ico price then it will be thousand of dollars but in reality the price is lesd than 20$.i got a coin which ico price is 0.01$ but now the coin is not traded any exchangers.

Apart from doing our own research and verification about the development team we also need to consider who is managing the bounty as there are some of the seasoned bounty managers like Yahoo who don't randomly accept to work for a project without surety that it's legit. But sometime we fall for the marketing tactics wherein they mention millions as rewards. I think we should blame our self if we still make mistake while selecting bounty projects as we have a bitter experience from the past.

Things like that can not be avoided, we can be deceived by them because their project is truly original but the fact is fraud, therefore if you want to join such a project you must first analyze from the whitepaper, team and roadmap, so You are not fooled again.

There are so many approaches where you can avoid scam bug bounty-
  • If someone is asking money for bounty while joining then just ignore it because your money can't be refunded once it has left from your wallet.
  • If the bounty project isn't fake they never ask you your wallet private key.
  • It is good to use some other email while joining bounty not the original one and also provide some unique password for that.
  • Use the crypto wallet which has no balance so that if someone wants to hack they can't do.
  • Do research about the website who is behind the bug bounty program.
  • So always research from your side so that your crypto will be safe.

What is the purpose of checking the project continously? Because usually problems arise when ICO is over and bounty hunters have finished their work.

That's true, even we are checking their telegram every day and their team very active it's not enough to judge if this project will pay bounty hunter. Example, Aitheon, their team very active on the telegram, but until today they are not paying bounty hunters. Most dev teams refuse to use escrow services to pay bounty hunter, or bounty manager doesn't care about it. So, bounty hunter always meets same problem, dev team late to pay bounty hunter or even scamming bounty hunter.

Not necessarily. Sometimes, a bounty manager creates a new alt to make sure if the project starts exit scamming, it won't spoil their reputation.
If this happens it will be very difficult to choose a manager that can be trusted, there are still mwho can be trusted but only a few.

Its hard to find good project and you can't predit what happen that project in future.
So, before you want to join Bounty, you must check it carefully and don't forget to always check it every time.

sad. bad true.
in 2017 i've been caught in the same scum, instead of 300$ I've got around 70$. Lucky for me it was for a month, not for three month as in your case and yet the bounty were 70$ it is still not bad.
I think best way now to see bounty is ready to pay fix payment per post in fiat or btc and payment every week.. if they miss a week, then you can drop this bounty..
best of luck, man!

Well, we can't say it's a totally scam as they already paid you for your work. The thing you must understand is some ICOs these days didn't raised enough fund to compensate all of your hard work. So the result, they cut the amount you were supposed to receive. You're lucky tho. Some scam bounty didn't pay participants at all. About the bounty that pays BTC or Fiat. It's hard to get in to that bounty since they accept only limited participants. But yeah, it's a sure profit. If you compare bounty on Bitcoin marketplace to altcoins marketplace, the altcoins marketplace provides you more opportunities than Bitcoin marketplace. Just a lot of scammers. So join at your own risk.

the only successful project in a bounty is not because the project is good and has a strong team, but for me it's just luck that makes a bounty have a big prize now.
so if you do bounty if your destiny is unlucky then bounty will become a scam.

Poor bounty hunters, they spend a lot of time and effort working for scammers!

The only way for this to stop is if hunters stop participating in shady projects and learn their lesson. Sadly, it's not that easy. I've shared a lot of job opportunities to them, but they still hope they can earn a lot from bounty hunting, so they turned down the offer.

If they don't stop, then garbage projects with whitepaper can have free marketing as many as they want.

When you see a bounty manager from newbie account then you can be sure they are team of the project, but higher account  is not a guarantee that he is a good manager, that's why look at his work history and reputation.

Avoid any token pool less than $1m
During my early days on the forum, I participated in bounty campaigns(ICO) with a far higher allocation than the one above and the outcome wasn't any different from the ones with lesser token pool.
I think the campaigns who embellish their projects with all this sort of attractive rewards via their tokens are actually the ones to stay away from, they know people are greedy, and what to earn without even understanding how the tokens would work or be useful, so they can attract them with a large bounty pool, either ending up duping the investors or giving out tokens that would be of no use to all who participated in the campaign.

BTC campaigns with good campaign managers are the sort of campaigns user ought to aim to be in, though this must not derail their purpose for being on the forum.

Bounty pool doesn't describe how much you will got when convert to BTC. Problem that occur because the bounty prize is not in escrow hands, bounty hunters should ask this not just tempted by large bounty pool.

This is something that happens often. The bounty hunter is a huge free marketing tool! Many projects have organized bonus programs and paid them valuable tokens. That is a scam. Poor bounty hunters, they spend a lot of time and effort working for scammers!
