Regarging NASAA “International Crypto Crackdown”
Yesterday we were contacted by Office of Missouri Secretary of State Securities Division with an Order to Cease & Desist and Order to Show Cause.
We would like to make a statement, that no USA (including all territories of this country) residents are allowed to obtain BALT tokens and participate in Baltic.fund campaigns, and here is how we eliminate them from taking part:
1. As a first step, everyone, who would like to join our community, no matter whether this person wants to purchase tokens or participate in our bounty campaign has to register at our website and sign the Terms between our company and himself/herself. Simply reading our Whitepaper is not enough. The only legal agreement between us and the token holders are Terms of Use, every participant of our ecosystem must register at our website, read and accept the Terms, otherwise he is not allowed to take part in any Baltic.fund activities.
It is clearly stated in our Terms of Use, that no USA (including all territories of this country) residents are allowed to obtain BALT tokens.
2. But that’s obviously not enough, that’s why we run KYC procedures on every person, who is registered at our website. Our KYC policy is very strict (and recently we explained why) and the KYC is mandatory for every token holder, no matter if a person purchased the tokens or receive them for the participation in our bounty campaign. In case, we have any doubts, we run additional KYC (including, but not limited to a video call with this person), and in case we still have doubts, we ban this person from receiving our tokens.
We take all these measures to be sure, that we comply with all the laws and regulations.
Also, we would like to point out, that our Whitepaper, Summary and other materials, including the articles on how our platform works, are advertising materials, and they don’t explain the legal regulations between us and our token holders. We oblige our community to read and agree to the Terms of Use.
In conclusion, we would like to add, that as it is stated above, there is no possibility for USA (including all territories of this country) residents to purchase, obtain, or somehow recieve BALT tokens.
