What is CryptoBids?
CryptoBids is a reverse auction platform, where users can get even expensive items for a few USD cents! Unlike normal auctions, where the winner is who places the highest bid, on CryptoBids the winner is whoever places the LOWEST and UNIQUE bid!
How does it work?
To win an auction you must place the LOWEST and UNIQUE bid! You can place as many BIDS you want and the system will tell you in real time if the BIDS you placed are UNIQUE or not! Keep in mind that the WINNING BID must be the LOWEST and UNIQUE bid! When the countdown is over, the user who placed the LOWEST UNIQUE bid will be the winner of the auction!
What does exactly means "LOWEST and UNIQUE" bid?
To better explain this concept please see the following example:
Bid distributions of an auction:
0.01 USD —> 29 bids > these are the lowest bids, but there are 29 of them, therefore they're not unique
0.02 USD —> 7 bids
0.03 USD —> 1 bids > this is UNIQUE and LOWEST bid (winning bid)
0.04 USD —> 11 bids
0.05 USD —> 1 bids > this is a unique bid, but not lowest
0.06 USD —> 31 bids
I want to join an auction, what do I do?
First you need to register, then you need to buy some credits that will be used to place and pay for the bids: whenever you place a BID the system will bill you 1 credit from your "credit balance".
How much is 1 "credit" (cr)?
1 cr is exactly 1 USD. If, for instance, you bid 0.87cr on an item means you're bidding $0.87.
How many credits do I need to pay to bid on an auction?
Usually bids have a 1 cr fee to bid ("bid fee"), but that may vary depending on the item. The bid fee is always displayed on the auction details.
From my "Bids History" I see that my bid is UNIQUE, but nothing is written under "Status" column, what does that mean?
It means that your bids are UNIQUE, but not the LOWEST. When your bid is the UNIQUE and LOWEST, the system will show "Winning!" under the "Status" column
One of my bids was "Winning!", but now it is not anymore, what gives?
It can mean 2 things:
Someone bid a LOWER and UNIQUE bid than yours, and therefore your bid is no longer winning
Someone bid the same amount as you, and therefore your bid is no longer UNIQUE
With this in mind, even if your bid is UNIQUE but not the LOWEST at the moment you bid, it can possibly be the WINNING bid after someone bids the same as the current winning bid.
System reports that I'm the "Current Winner" of one auction. Does it means I will win the auction?
If no one else bids a LOWER and UNIQUE bid than yours before the countdown ends, YES!
When countdown was close to zero, suddenly some time was added by the system, why?
When the countdown is below 60 seconds and the winning bid changes (there is a NEW temporary winner), the system will automatically add 60 seconds to prevent users from sniping auctions at the last second.
Wow! I won the auction what should I do to get the item?
From your user panel, just click on “My Auctions” and follow these steps:
Click "Pay Now", to pay your winning bid
Set your delivery details (e-mail where we can contact you and address)
Wait for the delivery
Delivery will be issued within the next working day, and you can see the status of your item on that page.
Can I get the cash value of my auction?
Yes, if you prefer, we can send you the same value of "retail price" in Bitcoin (BTC).
Once you win an auction you can choose to either give us your delivery address to ship the item, or your BTC address to send the equivalent value.
