Today we announce a renewal of the OpenGift bounty campaign! We have slightly updated the terms of the campaign; please have a look at the original post to make sure you have an up-to-date understanding of the terms.

Let us address a few questions that may arise:
1. The preICO had been postponed, why?
Multiple reasons. First and foremost, when dates of the preICO were very close, we understood that we want to significantly change the business model. And we need some time to answer a lot of new questions that we immediately faced.

We did a strange thing for a typical ICO: we decided to confront our vision with a reality. We tested our vision with those very limited resources that we had in a hope to prove the model. If it worked, we could honestly say to investors that we attract money to scale up the business. Not to experiment, not to try our something new, but to do the sure thing.

But when theory met practice, we had to reconsider a lot of aspects of our business. Then we conducted new series of market testing. And we did it over and over again until we got evidence that we are offering something people are happy to pay for.

As you'll see, we have retained all the ideals that we treasure: making open source accessible for everyone, making free software customer oriented, significant reduction of software development cost.

But now this is a concept that has been tested.

Another reason for postponing the preICO was associated with legal preparations. A regulatory environment around ICO had been changing rapidly: what was okey in late 2017 became too risky in early 2018.

We took a responsibility to make OpenGift a great business, not only a great ICO project - and we would hate some oversights to jeopardize this vision. Now we are sure that everything is covered from a legal perspective.

The participants will receive additional stacks for early engagement
