The undefeated Hector Tanajara still got the favor of majority even Mercito Gesta already lot of wins.
I'll go with Mercito Gesta this time with small bets only, it is really risky to bet against the undefeated, the momentum if wins and being undefeated of Hector Tanajara is extremely huge advantage.

We will see this fight soon, but I don't understand until now there's still no betting line it's suppose to be up already since this fight will happen this coming 24th of July. If OP has already put his bet,  I like to know what sportsbook he is using.

Is this "no mercy" Gesta? If yes he slipped under the radar for sometime now isn't it?
Based on the picture, he is the No Mercy. I'll wait for the odds to come out and I'll be thinking about to get into with the experience wise than records. Though I don't follow any of them, I'll wait for an expert or more experienced bettor for him to say with this match because that will be a great help.

Ok, this is quite exciting fight to bet if he is the underdog here. How come though that sport bookies are not listing these upcoming fights? You don't need to wait some experts, if you like to bet on underdogs with attractive odds then Gesta will be a good one as he has a good chance to upset Tanajara here.

experience and training will be the advantage of Gesta as physical attributes may be on the side of Tanajara. but i am more on the actual training before the fight. if you are well prepared you can defy the physical factor here. but this match has not been picked by popular crypto sport bookies here...

Let's breakdown the fighters:
~snip~

As usual, thanks for your valuable inputs as this additional information will give more idea to some users here that don't have that deep knowledge of this sweet science of boxing.

I like the prediction, very attractive odds for the Filipino for sure.

Unfortunately, there no betting odds for this fight yet, so how can we support and bet Mercito Gesta here?

This one offers https://www.betnow.eu/sportsbook-info/boxing/boxing, but still no odds.

Let's just continue monitoring the link you shared, thanks to that BTW. Usually betting sites will gives the odds one day before the fight. When Mike Plania fought Greer i thought that bookies won't cover that one but they did, though a little bit late but it's okay.

This would not belong in the "gambling discussion board" if we are not betting on it. lol

Odds are not available yet though this fight is just 3 days away, let's monitor in the link below, maybe odds will be available soon.

https://www.sportsbookreview.com/betting-odds/boxing/4172505/odds/

Though odds are not available yet on the bookies but i think online bookies  will cover this as this is a co-main event and this fight is for a regional title and also Gesta has many followers. Mind you guys, he maybe the older fighter here but he is not a push over fighter, he still in his prime and he is raring to prove to his promoter that he still has it to fight for the world title once again if given the chance.

^^ Gesta is the clear underdog per prediction of some analysts.

I like the prediction, very attractive odds for the Filipino for sure.

It seems that both fighters have their own disadvantages inside the ring but what can I say experience does tell who you are today. I have a high hopes that Gesta has the better chance to win this fight since he got the experience plus a hand that could knock out an opponent. Tanajara's previous records tells that he didn't have any KO's although things would be different if both fighters develop something that could bring them to the glory. But I still choose Gesta. Pilipino boxers are known to give their opponent a hard fight when they step on the ring and they are also some Pilipin boxers who manage to knock out their opponent even though they are just some underdog to the fight. The evidence for that is the link below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXmROxWzOwM

It's always good to bet on them as they are underrated, probably if there is a betting odds, I expect the Filipino here is the heavy underdog despite of his experience and a good record as well, his opponent is undefeated and young, but Filipinos are a hard opponent, that's my observation too.
I agree, all Filipino boxers are really that good and every fight is very exciting to watch. And despite him being the underdog, many are going to bet for him specially if the odss are attractive because they know that Gesta has the experience to beat Tanajara. And I don't know why Oscar is throwing a young fighter against a veteran and heavy hitter like Gesta, this might back fire on them when Gesta stop Tanajara in this fight.

I think OP probably will add a voting poll to know what this community prefers to win, it is Tanajara or Gesta?
That's I guess right, but if you don't want to bet that isn't necessary to know.

In my perspective view, Gesta would be the underdog of this match because he has already 3 losses on his previous fought.

While Tanajara is considered a legend because he never experience losses and he also considered a future star, he has done a good fought plenty of solid opposition. I have a motive that he will win on this fight not Gesta.

Who's with me?

^ That's a very exciting fight and the event has nearly to come in a day counts. It is a few days more to go we can watch their match.
In this fight, I saw a potential winner. It should be Gesta, he is a very aggressive fighter and he said that he is very excited to fight with his opponent. And also he stated that his mindest had a fighter's fight.
Nevertheless, I think OP probably will add a voting poll to know what this community prefers to win, it is Tanajara or Gesta?

Let's breakdown the fighters:

Hector Tanajara - one of the best upcoming prospect by Golden Boy, young, tall and has a good amateur background. 2x Golden Gloves, but If I'm not mistaken, he didn't pursue Olympics. His head trainer is Robert Garcia who is one of the best trainers we had.

Pros: Long tall and has a solid jab
Cons: Very young, still raw talent
Notable wins: Ivan Delgado (vacant World Boxing Council United States (USNBC) Light Title), Juan Carlos Burgos

Mercito Gesta - I'm sure Filipino boxing fans knows who Gesta is, very powerful and explosive and once was touted to be the next boxer who will carry the torch for the Philippines.

Pros: Very experienced, power in both hands, fast and explosive
Cons: Gasses out in late rounds
Notable wins: Robert Manzanarez (vacant World Boxing Organisation NABO Light Title)

Gesta for sure will start very fast as usual and try to get this kid very uncomfortable, this is best time to really give Tanajara a beating and knock him or knock out for a win and test him. Otherwise if the fight progresses he will tire out in the latter round. Gesta has problems with tall fighters that's why he should really rough him up. If he is the underdog here then obviously my bet goes to him. But Tanajara is very dangerous and will use his jab to keep Gesta at bay.

Upset win is almost regular thing in boxing, not only for a Filipino boxer.

With the given style and attribute of Tanajara, the lack of power punch will somehow work for Gesta's style's advantage.  Even though the record made Gesta look like an underdog  , there is big possibility that Gesta has the advantage in this fight.

Gesta a good chance. Question is whether if he still have the stamina or not to keep the pace.

Indeed stamina will be the deciding factor for Gesta if the fight end via decision.   Several talented Filipino boxer had overlooked the stamina factor which ended badly for them.  I hope this will not be an issue for Gesta in this fight.

The link provided here doesn't even mention Gesta.

Gesta is like a bull when he fights. He'll keep charging and that's a pretty straight forward approach to cancel height and reach advantage of opponents. Tanajara isn't known for his KO power so that gives Gesta a good chance. Question is whether if he still have the stamina or not to keep the pace.

The latest one I know was the the Casimero Tete fight Casimero was the underdog on this fight and Tete show arrogant by telling people that he will knock Casimero out but it goes the other way, Gesta has some similarity on Casimero's style, we never know he can pull one on this, so let's see how it goes.
Casimero and Gesta is almost in the same age and also when it comes to experience and stats then they are just pretty much the same and i agree that they do have similarity when it comes to style but wont guarantee that
it would work on Tanajara.

Hector is still undefeated but basing up on experience then Gesta do have it and also when it comes to Knock out percentage then we can say that he dont really have that heavy punches compared to Gesta but he shouldnt take it lightly because one false move will surely cost him.

My bet goes for Gesta this time.

in my opinion tanajara will be the winner even though I just guessed but I am sure tanajara can defeat Gasta, hopefully the predictions that I make can be translucent because right now I am putting tanajara as the champion.

This Hector Tanajara has good footwork and timing in his punches but lacks a knockout punch like Ryan Garcia, Gesta has a good chance here I have seen him fight he is very unconventional fighter brought by his being a former mix martial artist, if Tanajara goes toe to toe he will be in trouble against Gesta, although a huge underdog I bet for Gesta here he can take a punch I have seen him on some of his fight, I hope he can pull one on this he has a lot of experience behind him..
