Final conclusion before I locked the thread:

Lomachenko is back, he might not choose the best boxer in his comeback, although myself believed that Nakatani is a good opponent, but the skills levels are very different.

We just hope to see Lomachenko vs Lopez rematch in 2022. Smiley

I think that these pro boxers can probably get through even though they are dehydrated in a fight, I think that they have been trained to perform under that circumstances.
For sure, I said "dehydrated boxer" in a good way, it means Lopez can suppress his actual weight until the weigh-in. After the event he will get insta-buff and box like a welterweight boxer. It's a well-known strategy especially for young boxer who can recover pretty fast from dehydration. This ability will diminish when he is getting older, but it will happen long after Loma retired.

Check out Nakatani vs Teofimo Lopez fight in youtube. Or Nakatani vs Felix Verdejo. You will see that Nakatani is a good fighter. He lost to Lopez by decision, but it was really close and we could say that Nakatani gave Lopez a hard fight. Event the father of Lopez admitted that after that fight. Loma was just above, talent wise and we did see it in this fight. A highly rank boxer, he just dismantled him, with his footwork speed and left hands.

No doubts that he finished  this fight with high degree of skills and talents, Loma show that high edge and really build his name above, This opportunity brings him to have more  expected quality fights.

Too early to call with the rematch but no doubts after Lopez finished his incoming fight then the time of talking between the camp will more likely to happened.

give the rematch and see who's going to stand out and win, for the fans and for each fighters glory!

Loma totally outclassed Nakatani. Before that fight, I did not even know who Nakanati was, and it turned out he has 20-1 record. Where did he get all that 20 wins, if he was outclassed so much by Lomachenko?
You should look at all the fights Lomachenko had in his career and he always outclass his opponents and many consider him as the greatest boxer of all time irrespective of weight divisions and in his last fight he was slow against Lopez and now he had the surgery and is back in form and that is what is displayed for everyone to see.

I am familiar with Lomachenko, I know how he boxes. I was just amazed to see (again) the difference in skill between him and Nakanati. Nakanati had a good record, and I thought he would show a good competition against Loma. But miracle did not happen.
As people wrote above, Nakanati had a close fight against Lopez. I've expected to see same in this fight, but Lomachenko was simply way better.

That was a big statement by Loma, it's saying that anything you can do, I can do better, and it's challenging Lopez, hopefully, he will take the challenge. Loma will always be in his shadow unless he will accept the challenge, give a rematch, and beat him again.

P.S. I agree to what people say - it is early for a rematch against Lopez. And Lopez probably must fight agaist obligatory contender first.
Of course he needs to win against Kambosos first, and we don't see any upset happening. That's why people are calling for a Loma vs Lopez rematch already.

All the boxing fans wants to see that rematch and it will be a huge one without a doubt.

We all want to see a great fight, and this rematch would be great for boxing.

It's too early anyway as we are just like disrespecting the opponent of Lopez in his fight, let him finish that business first and then we will talk about the rematch. I believe Lomachenko now is fully healthy, so no more excuses for him if he will lose again in this rematch, but a big excuse if Lopez would not allow him to rematch.

Vasiliy Lomachenko displayed a masterclass for all the fight fans to see and it was magnificent performance against Masayoshi Nakatani and every move he made was exceptional and was able to finish him in the later rounds and i would love to see the rematch now with Teófimo López and that would be a great fight and i doubt whether Teófimo López will be willing to do a rematch.
I think we see the old Vasiliy Lomachenko we know but I think it too early to say we want a rematch of him with Teófimo López because of his performance and I am sure he also want the rematch to happen but he understand either that he need to take a step at a time. Besides, Loma did a live video on Instagram today but he spoke the language which I don't understand.

Meanwhile, if Loma is ready for the rematch Lopez have no choice if the money is good.

Loma has to reclaim himself, he is not even convinced that he lost in that fight, it's quite controversial so at least it has to be ended by knowing who really is better between them and it can only happen through a rematch. This will bring big money to both of them, so why would they not grab for this? besides, why the boxer is working hard in order to get big fights for the money.

It doesn't matter if Lopez will ask for a bigger slice of the cake, he has the right because he is the champion, and as long as the sharing is justifiable that both fighters are respected, then, there should be no problem at all.
Dont misunderstand me, I am Loma fans and I understand it important for him to regain himself by having a rematch with Lopez but it too early for him to focus on that because of his current winning against Nakatani without making proper preparation.
This is what I am trying to point out.

That should make both have a great payday, there's no restriction anymore, they can both make money from gate entrance and PPV as usual, and the current win of Loma will make his career boast again although he loses against Lopez in their first fight.

This would be a big fight, and I'm seeing very competitive betting odds as well.

Boxing in the US is starting to become normal once again and I think the promoters will be making up for the lost time and money  Smiley.

As what had Teofimo Sr said during the interview, they would love to make the fight this December so this will be the second biggest fight of the year next to Manny vs Spence.

About the odds, I'm incline to believe that it would still be Loma who will be put as the favorite with the recent performance he have against Nakatani. Lopez was having a hard time disposing of the tough Japanese while Loma seems to have an easier time dismantling him. Could this be the gauge on who will be the favorite this time around?  Cheesy

For sure, Promoters are taking this opportunities to catch up with those time that the game
has been suspended due to the current covid19 virus,

Now that they've got the great chance to bring more fights and fans are now allow to watch live,
they won't let this money to flow away but instead they'll be bringing more great fights to attract more fans to support their favorite fighters,

Moving forward, after this great fight from Loma, he created a good image to his name and bookies will look on it before placing any odd if the rematch will take place.

The weight difference is just too big. Loma is still a great opponent for true lightweight boxers, but not for dehydrated lightweight such as Lopez. Compared to Lopez, Nakatani's power is just like day and night. Loma still can be the champion though since Lopez is still young, and anything can happen to a young champ, for example losing motivation, complacency, etc.
I think that these pro boxers can probably get through even though they are dehydrated in a fight, I think that they have been trained to perform under that circumstances. I think the only way to see this is if Lomachenko and Lopez face off in the ring. That's the last thing that might happen to a young and lively professional boxer, losing inspiration. I am saying this though on a basis that I haven't heard of any up and coming fighter suddenly become disenchanted and can't pursue their passion, being an athlete and being paid handsomely for doing it is a dream for many people.

He said he is willing in one of his interviews, let's hope he will not change his mind though. We've seen an old Loma here, a well-conditioned Loma that is ready to dominate his opponent, he was not in a rush, he took it slowly but surely until his opponent's body was not able to handle the attack anymore.
If Lopez is willing to give the rematch then that would be a big PPV event as everyone was expecting Lomachenko to win and when Lopez was able to win everyone was surprised and now the rematch will be much bigger than the first fight and it is good to see entertaining fights in boxing.

We love big fights, hopefully, they will also give this to us.
maybe it will not happen this year as Lopez also has a fight, but if they will agree or sign a contract this year for next year fight, it would already given them enough time to prepare for this big fight.

We have Manny vs Spence this year, Loma vs Lopez next year.

This would be a big fight, and I'm seeing very competitive betting odds as well.

I guess Lopez will be the favorite, but just a slight favorite, he is the champion, that's the respect for him.

Seems that my bet that Nakatani will have the advantage isn't enough to stop Lomachenko from doing a 9th round TKO victory against Nakatani. Nakatani did good but it seems that Lomachenko was really too much for him to handle as the rounds go by. Good game and congratulations to the players who bet on Lomachenko.

Congratulations to the bettors who predict a KO on a specific round, I saw one betslip and the return was x5, that was really a good one. Lomachenko was really dominant in that fight, the old LOMA was back and I expect to see him have a big fight like a rematch against Lopez.

Thanks, I'm among those who were betting on him. I wonder was it accidental but when their heads collide in the first round? My heart died within me after that but luckily Loma got a grip on himself and  has shown paces, his footwork during the fight  was incredible not to mention his final combination of punches in the 9th round.
Hey, congratulations on you winning the bet! Did you get the right rounds though? Or is it a general bet? That headbutt in that round is really something, remember that skulls are pretty tough and two heads colliding has a high chance that one of the player won't have the ability to sustain the damage and go down. Imagine if in a comical way, the headbutt knocked out the two of them. That's a really cool annal in the history of boxing.
