The video clip on this page has Bernard Hopkins' breakdown of GGG vs Canelo.

http://www.boxingscene.com/video-bernard-hopkins-breaks-down-canelo-vs-golovkin--120475

Bernard Hopkins seems to think GGG won't be prepared for the level of competition Canelo brings & he thinks it'll come down to whether GGG can adapt.

I hope other boxing analysts chime in and try to predict the fight. I don't remember that ever happening much like it does in MMA.

You can't never say triple G isn't prepared, he will be, he is always very dangerous. Canelo is looking solid tho, top physical condition and ready to kick ass. Didn't see much sparring recently but he is a future hall of fammer.

Im still going for a 10 rounder with a GGG KO tho. Canelo will not be able to stop him.

I'm betting my money on Canelo. For me he's more prepared and more determinate. GGG sounds like a commercial name for toilet paper, although he's still a good fighter.

At 2.35 Canelo is a bargain and a value odd.
Worth of gambling your money we knew that chances can be possible with canelo, let see and witness how well this fight well end hope to see my money to be doubled with him, I seen that he already preparing for his win, good luck to us mate.

Meh.
I'll agree that under 11.5 is the most solid bet for this fight, I'd love to be wrong though as this will be a really good showing of these two giants. Canelo TKO looks juicy no matter how much faith I have in GGG..

I took some early bets two weeks ago on this fight, also I felt the rounds options offered better value. It shouldn't be an early outcome I hope! I had an even on ending at 5-8 (11/4) and 9-12 (9/2) so I either get .75 or 2.5 returns. Bookie odds have favoured Golovkin slightly since that time too, so the Mexican's slight underdog status is only growing.

I don't know about TKO/KO/Disqualification outcome... it's almost 9.0 at Betfair. Tempting as both are capable but waiting to see if any other specials come out.

I already made a thread on this fight months ago. Anyway, im waiting until the last moment to place some bets. It's a hard fight, but im leaning towards GGG on split decision. Canelo is thought, and he is smart, he has learned a lot in the past few years.

But I also consider a GGG KO in the late rounds. If I have to go for KO, I would say round 10 for GGG with an exhausted Canelo that can't take any more punishement, so probably TKO.

I'm excited and can't wait to see this fight. Either one of them has the power to KO each other with a single punch. Both are very dangerous as well. And just like most of us here, the fight is hard to predict. My mind says GGG, but my heart ponders Alvarez. And I think the boxing community and experts are divided as well. This really maybe the Fight of the Year candidate if both of them really punch himself out up to the last bell. Or probably we will not see this fight go on full 12 rounds.

Golovkin has more punching power but Alvarez has a lot more gas than GGG. I'm rooted for GGG as i watched his previous fights, he has a heart for the will to win but Alvarez has a mind for tactics. It is a fight between strength and technique, this could be the real candidate for the Fight Of The Year as opposed to the circus fight of MoneyMay vs TrashMouth.

GGG to win by knockout I think. I'm going to go for that ending in the 6th, 7th & 8th round (3 seperate bets). I just can't see Canelo being able to cope with GGG's iron fists.

As a big fan of GGG, betting wise the best bet is Canelo at 2.250 (+125).

Canelo has mastered the science of boxing just like Floyd. And, if you have watched GGG fights, he looses a lot of rounds, and wins mostly due to KO's. With that being said, Canelo has a good chin and will be hard to land a solid punch on. So, betting that Canelo wins make since from betting perspective.

But, for personal pleasure I'm paying to see a GGG knockout Canelo. What a story line this will be.

This could come down to who is able to work the body more than the other.
Take out the steam in the later rounds to get the finish.

And our money will be worth as compare to the circus fight of May-McGregor. And thinking that as boxing fans, we have waited for 2 years

agree

Even though shittalking can be fun, notice how respectful they are in interviews and press conf compared to the mc gregor mayweather hype train.

If this two boxers really engaged early in the center of the ring. It could end as the Fight of the Year.  And our money will be worth as compare to the circus fight of May-McGregor. And thinking that as boxing fans, we have waited for 2 years, and now the fight will happen. I'm a fan of both fighters, so its really hard to pick one here. But I'm going to pick Golovkin because he is one of the most vicious punchers and one punch can really change the outcome of this fight. If he hit Alvarez squarely in the face I think he will go down or be KO'd.

But Canelo Alvarez have showed that he has a good chin as well. Well he easily get bloodied in the face but he has solid chin IMHO. And he himself is also a vicious fighter and can KO anyone from 154-160 lbs. And both of them are body punchers are well. And I saw fights where Alvarez utilize his upper cut he will surely used it if they fight close. For me, it boils down on who has more heart to win this fight. With that said, I'm putting my money on Alvarez, for me he is hungry for this challenge and wanted to win to prove that he is the best boxer right now.

Yup, under 11.5 rounds is a great odd. Its gonna be a good fight indeed. For me this is a superfight comparable to the fights in the 80's. I have to go with Canelo here. Although in some bookies, GGG is the odds favorite, but others it almost even. I choose Canelo because he is young and has face more aggressive and tougher opponents in the past. I only blemish in his record is his lost against Floyd. While GGG is strong as well but haven't face a opponent like Canelo who is young and as strong as he has.
