Yeah, a silver medal is already a big achievement for Petecio and the whole nation is so proud of her for that. Irie Sena is just hard to beat, more determined to win the gold in front of her people and we must admit that. Also, that was my basis before putting my bet on Sena. It's not that I'm not patriotic, I'm just being practical as my gut tells me that the Japanese had the upper hand on this match. I would be very happy if Petecio has won the match as that's also what I'm praying.

Yeah, watching the game makes me feel goosebumps as a fellow Filipino. The fight was very close and they both show an impressive skills and endurance, It just happened that Irie Sena has a home advantage which gives her an extra boost to won the fight. A silver medal as addition to our first gold is not bad considering how few players that Philippines sent on this Olympics. GGWP!

Indeed, although Petecio is at a disadvantage, she really gave it all, but the Japanese girl is also tough, but I thought hat Petecio might pull it off as she is the favourite in this match.

Nevertheless a silver medal for her, that's already a big accomplished for the Philippine for having a gold and silver, both ladies. I'm sure it will inspire young Filipinos to be on a boxing gym and win a medal because it has a big incentives financially when they won a medal.

I will not bet on this fight, but I will pray that our very own Nesthy will bring another gold for our country. So far this is the most that we have since joining the Olympics and every Pinoy's around the world will be happy to see a 2 gold medal standing at the end of the Olympics.

The odds is 1.42 for her, and I do agree that she was the favourite because she has face a tougher opponent and beat them convincingly going into the finals.

The officiating judges are not Japanese, not because it was Japan as host, they can also influence the result.

There will be mass voiced out if that happened, not just on that sports.

I don't think there will be an unfair judgment here. If there is, it should happen in the early days of the Olympics. The Olympics is now nearing its end.

That's what I was trying to say her aggressive attitude, I just can't find the word in my previous post, her aggressiveness is going to intimidate Sena but if Sena is prepared and calm throughout the fight she will be able to get through those defense.

Japanese culture is very different though, they will be ashamed of themselves if they know that their boxers won in not a fairly fashion. It's just the judges might be biased, but we will have to see. Petecio did really improved a lot and she can't be deny if everything falls into pieces. Just like Diaz who really work very hard and sacrifices a lot. I do hope that the Philippine win the gold medal, it will be historic for the country, with 2 ladies winning the gold medal.
