I have been using this on my mobile browser for several months now and works quite flawlessly. Nor did I noticed any lags or glitches or any kind of bugs. And the most useful part it, it doesn't only give me shortcut access to bpip.org site but also offers access to loyce.club, ninjastic.space. It also gives us the ability to add or remove users from our trust list very easily. I would rate it 9.5 out of 10. Wink

You can try to download, unpack extension and install it manually on Kiwi browser, but I don't really trust that browser.

I haven’t tried the browser before but since it isn’t trusted, I won’t bother trying it out.

Since you are already using it... have you tried adding BPIP extension using your Mozilla Firefox browser?
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/bpip-extension/

I followed the link and downloaded the extension but I couldn’t add it to the browser. The phone i am using is not compatible with it to add the extension. I guess for this browser, it will only work with desktop.

Jegileman hope you understand buddy. Mozilla Firefox(mobile version) does not support desktop extensions.

Yes, I just tried it and it didn’t work.
Thanks for the guidance.

Moreover, as far as I know, another mobile browser Mises that supports desktop extensions.

Few more that support extensions — Yandex/Lemur/Flow/Mask.

I am finding it add to add the extensions to it, rather it’s showing me something different from what you showed in the pictorial representation. Is it limited to some browsers only or I’m the one missing something out?

As I am seeing that he is using mobile and in the mobile version Kiwi browser supports these addons and extensions. Moreover, as far as I know, another mobile browser Mises that supports desktop extensions.
Between these two, Kiwi browser is far ahead of the Mises browser in terms of downloads and user reviews.
Moreover, as far as I know there are other good browsers such as Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Brave, desktop extensions cannot be added to these browsers. I have been using Kiwi browser for a long time, but I have not faced any problem. Moreover, I have not yet found any browser that provides the service of supporting extension(desktop) in the mobile version.

Jegileman hope you understand buddy. Mozilla Firefox(mobile version) does not support desktop extensions.

Hmm.. Is the moderator is on slow mode haha.. Seems like they keep moving the topics in the right sections even after months of their creation..

Anyway.. Its always preferred and recommended to not quote/bump the topic after 120 days of inactivity.. Simply create the topic again to start a fresh discussion if necessary, if not it can be saved for information purposes & to guide newbies, most of the topics of this category can be located form Ritmove's thread of Topic's Encyclopedia.. Its 2nd time today I'm referring this topic  Grin Grin
I think they are doing their work, either they are doing it slow or fast. Work should be completed, is what, I think is their main concern here. And I did get a red message written while quoting the message saying the same about this topic is not active for 120 days. Even though I make posts here instead of creating a new thread. Which in this case might be necessary.

And do not mind to mention ratimov, I don't know how many times I have mentioned him to others, his work is great and I read many threads of him. Maybe that's why I am also always referring to him. And the funny thing is you are writing his name in wrong so he is not getting any mentioned hehe I think that's on purpose!

No dude, As far as I remember I created this topic on Beginners & Help board a long time ago. But today I was revising some good topics/posts that I have noted. Regarding this topic, I think it looks better on meta board, so I myself moved the topic from Beginners & Help to Meta board. I didn't expect that there would be a reply Roll Eyes, I know it's best to avoid posting such inactive topics but your reply has bumped this topic up a bit. Hope it will be useful for those who are new to it.  Tongue
And it did help newbies, as check the last reply, well, I have put a track on all sections and that's why I got this notification of moving a thread. Well, I got curios and did not hesitate to ask it here. And I am happy that it helped the last poster.

This is great, like bumping it up again was a great idea. I am also just getting to know about this mobile browser extension. I have not used the kiwi browser you used to explain how to add the extension to the browser but the one I am using (Mozilla Firefox), I am finding it add to add the extensions to it, rather it’s showing me something different from what you showed in the pictorial representation. And when I copied the link, it took me to this thread. From what I observed is --> This topic was created in Bitcoin discussion and the moderators just moved it to this section and due to that, I got a notification?
I hope I am understanding it right or what?

I know this topic is old but I received a notification on Telegram of this topic, and thought to read it but when I came here and saw the date of the topic creation then got confused because it is made in January 2023. Why I got the notification so I simply clicked on the post and moved here:

Tried to add in Firefox Browser in mobile is not possible or can't be added because Firefox Browser mobile version is not compatible with the extension. It is impossible to add the extension on Firefox browser that is up to date (Mobile) unless you are using the old version of Firefox browser on mobile devices (Not compatible). I forgot what version it is that it is compatible but I think it's version 60 if I am not wrong. It's not a problem for me since I use more than 1 browser.

Maybe someone will find it useful. Today, in addition to Kiwi browser, there are several other mobile browsers that support the installation of extensions. I know of at least two such browsers. They are Lemur browser and Mises browser.

Lemur browser

Mises browser
Thanks for the info mate and OP as well because it will be really useful for everyone who is using their mobile devices much often to access bitcointalk and atleast we are seeing some good alternatives to the spyware called chrome.

I just now installed lemur browser and successfully added BPIP extension too.

Despite of very good reputation from BPIP team and many years of development, maintenance for BPIP extension, personally I don't like the idea to install too many extensions on your devices, on desktop, laptop or mobile devices.

If they are open source and you can check codes, you might consider to use them. If you can not check their codes, you will have to rely on reviews that can be true or biased, incorrect so it's safer if you don't use extension.

I have heard about kiwi browser when searching for any ways to add extension to mobile devices and found out this chromium based browser which helps you to add browser extension to your mobile phones as well. But good you have shared the information here with representation also that how they can add BPIP and setup it on their device according to use.

But we should also analyse all the risks with them doing all the security concerns like this report throws light on how they go through their servers to track you down which is risk.Although it's open source and we can always see the developments giving us some sort of trust to use it.

In my approach, I prioritize safety first, security first so I won't arbitrarily use anything if without it, I feel inconvenient, uncomfortable. Browsers, extensions, applications, I would like to ignore them and avoid to make installations on my mobile.
That is a good approach. If you're wondering whether Kiwi Browser is good or not, you can probably take a look at their code since they publish it on GitHub[1]. They are based on Chromium just like Chrome, and some alternatives like Yandex which supports extensions also based their code on Chromium. There is not many alternatives for Android browser with extension support other than Firefox afaik, so you can try them too since the extension is also available on Firefox.

Because if you name a few good browsers then you have to put kiwi browser besides Chrome, Mozilla Firebox, Brave, Microsoft Edge.
Other than Firefox, most of them come from the same root at least. I don't know how reliable Kiwi is compared to other browsers, but it is definitely not the most popular. Not that it matters if it serve your purpose. That being said, if you're worried that your account might be compromised if you use another browser/extension, you can also create an alt account for mobile usage. Then use that account to browse the forum with the extension/browser shared here.

It is a nice guide but if I am wondering to use Google Chrome browser on both desktop, laptop and mobile devices, I would not like and be ready to use Kiwi browser on mobile.
I also didn't like kiwi browser much before.  However, Kiwi Browser is now one of the best mobile based browsers that can add extensions. Then kiwi browser is currently very user friendly, you can go to the settings of kiwi browser according to your preferences and change the appearance of the toolbar, starting from basic settings and accessibility.  I currently have kiwi browser pretty much set up for me.

I think you can believe kiwi browser from the side of safety and security. Because if you name a few good browsers then you have to put kiwi browser besides Chrome, Mozilla Firebox, Brave, Microsoft Edge. On the other hand, talking about the extension, this extension is one of the best extensions for data analysis on the BitcoinTalk forum. And it was created by a trusted member named suchmoon. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/beta-bpip-extension-user-info-add-on-extension-for-firefox-chrome-et-al-5224821

OP, I'm sure it will be quite helpful for mobile users who are used to accessing forums from their mobile browsers. although I mostly use a PC than a Mobile to access the forum, it seems I will also try to install it on my mobile device.
some members may not be comfortable with any extension for security or other reasons. but for those who like it, of course, what you share is quite useful.

- hello doctor who box
Never knew that a mobile browser would support extension. Though I don't use my mobile to use bitcointalk I give it a try with kiwi browser and it is awesome.
When on a cellphone, it's only for checking in a short time, but for posting, I prefer to use a laptop / PC, which is more comfortable.
Yes, laptop/pc is more convenient for using this forum. But it's a new feature so why not give it a try?

I don't know if there are more similar topics, but for beginners, now I'm showing the image-based process of using BPIP extension on mobile.
It's nice to use BPIP on mobile, but my suggestion is to use separate Kiwi browser with extensions only for bitcointalk forum, because adding extensions on mobile browser is reducing security a lot.
For everything else you can use open source Bromite browser that is one of the best options for Android, or Brave mobile browser as alternative.
Another option is Firefox and Tor mobile app, but they are much less secure on mobile than on desktop.

I just realized there is a browser with the extension often I just use the Google Chrome browser to browse forums on mobile but if there is a BPIP extension in the Kiwi browser maybe I will try to install it and see the difference between the appearance of Google Chrome and the Kiwi Browser.

When on a cellphone, it's only for checking in a short time, but for posting, I prefer to use a laptop / PC, which is more comfortable.

But glad you have shared this so I have figured it out. Wink

I didn't know this exist. This would be very much helpful when I browse the forum from mobile. I have never thought or even tried this. I feel the necessity of using TruNinja's usernote script on mobile too as this help me browse the forum with better experience.
Thank you for sharing. Would appreciate if you had shared with local community too (Bengali).

I don't know if there are more similar topics, but for beginners, now I'm showing the image-based process of using BPIP extension on mobile.
First of all, what is the BPIP extension ? for beginners-
A web browser extension ("add-on" in Mozilla-speak) that provides additional features to BitcoinTalk.org. Some of these features use data from BPIP.org, some others work entirely inside your browser. The extension activates when you browse BitcoinTalk.org pages such as threads or user profiles and inserts additional info about BitcoinTalk users and additional controls.
For adding on PC web browser visit this thread- [β] BPIP Extension: user info & extra features add-on/extension, Firefox/Chrome

1. First step download the Kiwi Browers from Google play store- link

2. Then open the Kiwi Brower on you phone and paste the download link of  BPIP Extention - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/bpip-extension/ecpfdlfjiabpdnlhmkmannofnmpdakkj

3. You can also find BPIP extension of Kiwi Brower extension option.

4. From this setting option, you can turn on the necessary options as your wish.

5. Now go to BTT forum  and saw the outcome.

//**Not only just BPIP extension here(Kiwi Browser) you can use all kinds of extensions you need.**//
