I'd be damned if my money depends on some football team performance, doesn't make sense at all for me but maybe I could understand why it's called fan token because this token is really for a fan.
And after your post, it downfall and never raise up again. I really wonder about the performance of Brazil National Football Team Fan Token. I mean Brazilian govt. themself along with their football federation launched this token and they let it dead without doing anything? Brazil football team still exist with hopes for future. I don't understand why govt. didn’t try to develop. Then how could people trust their government again if they launch another token for future transaction?
Maybe some investors already expected the downfall after the team lose but they did not expect that the coin will never recover anymore, because the team is still there. They can be able to play again and perform better this time. Another reason on why it should continue to exist is because it was created by a government. They have the power to do that.Can't imagine the amount of people trusted the coin since its creation but it looks like they are only being milked by their own government. That's pretty unusual. The view of the people towards their government are going to be affected badly for sure and if they will release another token in the future, how dare them? But I doubt if they will ever get an investor this time.

I mean fan token exactly as the name said, only token for fans, basically you're buying it for supporting it which still rather baffles me how you could support it in any meaningful way by buying the fan token other than just being used for speculative purpose basically as you have said pump and dump token. but the thing is considering the nature of these token, hardly go back up but really easy to go down and will just stay down for long time, i'd definitely refrain from investing in such coin, heck maybe we couldn't even call it investing since the performance relies heavily in football team performance which varies, more over the fact that this month around their football team are performing really bad would only mean you have made really bad investment/speculation decision.

What do you expect, I think it is working as designed if you look at the economics behind it, A football team lost a cup competition the value of that team would drop and that of the team that won would rise. I could remember that the price of Argentina tokens continued to rise until after the tournament because the team continue to do well and won the tournament

Brazilian fans token is not going anywhere, since it is a fan utility token, the mood of their fans will determine the value of the token at whatever time, and the token can easily get pumped by the government or any other whales that have control of a large amount of the token. I was amazed by the reaction of the citizens of Brazil after their national team was knocked out of the world cup I heard the players were stoned with water battles when the returned back from the world cup Qatar 2022. So am not surprised that the value of the fan token dropped after the team lost that shows how weak the tokeb is and since it is a utility token there is less anyone can do if the fans have no motivation to support the team.

Exactly, I think you could have made some good money by investing in some fan tokens before the start of this worldcup, but you also need to get out in time. As you say, this are pump and dump coins and too risky for me. Probably, most fan tokens will drop in the next few weeks/months as the hype of the worldcup will be over.
I think people should not blindly dive into fan tokens or this type of issues will occur. Think about it friends. You literally are buying into hype.
