If we have a map for the United States i think we would see more highlights.
The US have a lot of companies who accept bitcoin. Not just online.

Offline there are also a lot of bitcoin accepting companies.

wow great news Shocked , bitcoin dibrazil has begun to be accepted . and my country only on the island of Bali which accepts payment instruments by using bitcoin , hopefully my country bitcoin accepted by society .

This news is old already for over 6 months.
I am very interested though how much the amount of shops are now.

I am too, it would be great to get a report from someone in Brasil.  I do like the map graphic and agree that something like this is a great education and marketing tool, for any country.

Yeah these maps are the perfect way to promote bitcoin. I hope to see a map for asian, european countries too.
This way I can show my friends how populair bitcoin is.

very well that Brazilians were among the first in Latin America, the experiment on implantation of bitcoin in the minds of the people, and that a lot depends on this and so on, than more services and ATMs, then there is little to see and understand that bitcoin is getting quiet and where you can add and remove and for uniformity, but not as a sort of wild delight, though, is that this happens already after all and the problems that are associated with bitcoin, and that we see progress IT visually and what we need analysis, but in the future God forbid, but certainly replace bitcoin like, not to prishodit any bruises or any negative sentiment

This image alone is a prefect marketing tool for bitcoin. Seeing so much adoption is what we need.
If only more webshops would know bitcoin.

EXACTLY !

Very proud that we are part of something that is getting bigger and bigger every day.

the key to success in Brazil (in my own view) is to escape from state claws; do everything to escape from them!

that's why, even with the difficulty to put in practice, I support totally the use of alternative sources of energy, because the electricity and consequently ISP is monopolized by the government, even the private sector eats in their hands (at least here). Even though much more expensive, I'm adept of that kinda practice just because I want to say "fuck you government of shit" --- sorry 'bout bad words.

As you may know, any practice is very dependant from the government (because it involves banks and regularization taxes). So, mining BTC (in my point of view) it's the only way to escape from the mentioned "claws" (even with expensive values). It's just "one step" to surpass. Then, the path becomes more easy for take the next and steps.

 Cool

yes, they dare to do the things that other countries do not do, I also want to buy something in the store that can be purchased with bitcoin, I think it looks cool in the community, I hope one of the stores it opened a branch in my area  Grin

That's unlikely, those shops coming to your country. But we should learn and see this as a motivation.

It's possible to get adoption from merchants as long if we are willing to spend time on it.

Man, I work in GVT (the biggest/fastest bandwidth provider in Brazil), even in Paraná (like you said) there's a minority of people using it, because the cost to expand cable connection is very huge... some cities, with 100.000 habitants don't have 10% of cable connections, they use radio, and as you may know, you take a optic fiber and make lot of radio "points" to share connections, but here the fastest fiber is 150mbps... divided this to 50, 100 or 150 houses and you got the common speed connection here. Lotta people (with study) don't even have a computer at home... they prefer cable TV and 3G connections in smartphones... just to see how chaotic situation are, in Londrina or Maringá, even 3G is very bad.

I've been in London, Amsterdam, Paris and Milano... it's so different to here that you wouldn't believe... only who lives here understand.

Seems that you have a deep knowledge about internet distribuition in brazil

This is a very good point, i especially liked this part:

It's cool to party here and go back to EUA, NL, UK, etc... your money has 4, 5 times the values of Brazilian Real... that's cool hum?

they understand quickly bitcoin

Hey man, what makes you think this way? The majority of people don't even know how to use Microsoft Word, they ask somebody to configure their own smartphone, just to use social networks and make phone calls... Have you take a ride to Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo, or Brasilia, or Salvador, or Porto Alegre, or Recife? Take a look in the state of poverty that this places are...

How could people understand Bitcoin if they even know about their own money (currency)? People make loans (to buy TV's, refrigerator and 'Smartphones') and almost die to pay (if they pay, what I guarantee you it's not the usual behavior)... loan taxes here are the highest in the world... like a said, it's a question of survival.

It's fun to see a colorful country with "happy" people from an outside view, but come here and see in loco what daily reality is nobody wants... It's cool to party here and go back to EUA, NL, UK, etc... your money has 4, 5 times the values of Brazilian Real... that's cool hum?

in paranà there is a top class connectivity

People have smartphones just to use Whatsapp... Brazil has a giant community in social networks.. but, c'mon... use other currency (like BTC) is far beyond this... some stores sells a smartphone by 6x, 10x, 12x in your credit card (with interest taxes of 13% monthly); this makes even the poorest get such device (even paying the double price of product in the final parcel). It's a question of "don't be outside of community", this is why even childs from 3 years and old people with 90 years got a smartphone... lotta people left food and bills in a second position just to participate in such social networks. But BTC is something that you have to use your brain to understand... Facebook and Whatsapp doesn't require this usage...

Unless things turns to an opposite state that actually are (like what happened in Paraguay, Argentina and now in Venezuela) nothing is gonna change, because government makes everything to cut your wings and hopes... but, elections for president and parliamentary will happen just in 2018 (and the chances of a return of president Lula or someone similar is huge), I think it's a precious time wasted. The Labour Party is supported by the communist party, the social democrats, etc. Politics here is a mess (is a salad). Here we got 35 parties and none of them cares with people, they're all got the same cores with a different cover... brazilians are good people indeed, but take a look at the whole world and see what a destruction that a political mess could give to good people... history proves it. What fucks everything here is, lack of education, lack of health care, high inflation rates (what I believe won't change so rapid) and high taxes -- this thing guides a country to disruption, because people don't have economic freedom. What would you think of a country that makes you work from 4 to 6 months only to pay annual taxes?

Please, gimme a break....

Imho it's a good start. You have talked about extremely high inflation, but bitcoin is also here to give an alternative to a lot of people that want to protect themselves from the real inflation. Is not just a payment processor. And for sure if you live in brazil you know how much smartphones are distribuited, also with the poorest social classes. The very big deal is the connectivity.

Now, afaik in paranà there is a top class connectivity, especially in the cities where you can get fiber to the home connectivity. But in the vast majority of brazil this is impossible, and there are many places where is really thought to just have a decent mobile connection. My hope is that SPV wallets will do the dirty work of providing a basic decentralization grade wallet without consuming too much resources (especially bandwith).

Please, gimme a break....

The vast majority (~99%) of people here in Brazil don't even know what BTC is. This land is full of poor people. Hey, is this so hard to understand?

I mean... the inflation rate is extreme. U$1,00 = R$4,00 (honestly, it's more than that). Energy cost are very high (U$0.18 per KWh, so there's no mining farms here)... the average wage is very low (~U$200,00)... corruption is insane. The government kicks your balls so hard you can't even stand still, it's a question of survival.

The only trusted way to get BTC is Localbitcoins.com. But, here is the land of Credit Card... there's no way you can buy/sell/pay/exchange.

Pick any state you want, like the state I live (Paraná). It has almost the same size as Romania. Even in this "150 stores map" you got only three places to "negotiate"... one is the capital (Curitiba), the other one could be Londrina (with a average population of 600.000 citizens), the last (the position is weird) could be Maringá or Ponta Grossa... both of them has almost 400.000 habitants.

But take a look at some places like the state of Pará -- it has almost the same size as Germany. There's just one place (the capital Belém) with some sort of "store". Half of the country is so isolated and obscure than the surface of Saturn.

I don't know precisely, but I think there's just one ATM Machine (in São Paulo).

There's no big companies using BTC till this moment.

I mean, here in Brazil, BTC is extremely centralized. Sorry, but, this is not good news. I'm brazilian, I live here. The moment couldn't be worse. So, don't try to shut your eyes with a holed sieve.

Before anything, let's be realistic. Just to share a little with you guys:
