This run up to the new all-time high has been nothing short of spectacular. Rumor has it that the pending SEC approval of three bitcoin ETFs could trigger another price increase in the following weeks. Is this just the beginning of a legit bull run or are we nearing the peak of the bitcoin price for the rest of 2017? These are a few things to think about while we enjoy this momentous event for bitcoin.
I don't think we are nowhere near the top, the growing has been very organic so I think we are bound to see some ridiculous prices in the following weeks and months.

I've been excited about bitcoin for a few years now but the gains over the past few days have been remarkable. It has been such a joy to watch the price climb the way it has, and when you step back and reflect on the fact that a crypto-currency has developed in the way it has its just such a historical achievement.

This isn't making a whole lot of sense because we're hitting all time highs at the same time that fees are climbing and transaction times are increasing.  It seem like it would be the other way around for some reason.  Can somebody explain?

You're thinking about it backwards.  Price rise causes the increase in transactions.  Some people move their BTC to sell, some people take advantage of the opportunity to buy things and pay with BTC.

I guess that's one way of looking at it.  But, it seems like if people we're selling off, it would drive the price down, and it seems like increased fees would reduce the frequency of smaller transactions which would then increase transaction speeds by reducing the stress on the mempool.  Maybe I'm going to have to think about it a little more.

Maybe it is different this time with the transaction limit pressure, but in previous rallies payment processors like bitpay have reported huge jumps in bitcoin transactions.  We'll have to wait and see how this plays out.

There is a bullrun now, the bitcoin is still on uptrend and gaining new high. It might reach the $2000 in the second half of this year barring untoward incident coming from china.

Time to SODL.

Remember: buy high, sell low! rinse and repeat.

Nothing wrong with cashing out a certain percentage of your profits, but the thing is that this rally or whatever you want to call it isn't going to stop yet. People that happen to sell all their coins at once will find themselves in a bad situation when they see that the price continues to go up higher. That's why it's important to just sell a small percentage and keep holding the rest for when the price goes up further. After that you can cash out another percentage and buy back at the time the price dumps.

Is there anything like "OFFICIAL ALL TIME HIGH" price of bitcoin? If yes, what was it before this latest ATH? One more thing, what is the new OFFICIAL ATH price of bitcoin?
The previous all time high value of bitcoin was recorded in November 2013, average price of $1,165.89 touched during those time and now it has once again broken every barriers and successfully moving forward and it is nearing $1200 when i last checked. If everything is allied in the right path we could see some new barriers and hopefully we would hear some good news by march 11.

There is no "official", but Bitstamp is the best previous ATH of 1163, so keep watching Bitstamp prices for new ATHs.

ATH of wallets too I'd imagine.

And market capitalisation.
Probably the number of users is at its highest level too, and if bitcoin keeps growing very soon press coverage will be over the top too.

Official: No HODLer has ever lost money on Bitcoin.

It is really good to have bitcoin in this state, which is never gets low to $800 again, I'm hoping that bitcoin will be stable $1000 per bitcoin, so that I have motivation on posting and doing signature campaign lol, though it is the truth. Smiley
Let's just hope that the bitcoin users in China won't DUMP their coins because it will really affect the current price of bitcoin.

I think now their wont be possible as per the old news China is no more the real holder or bitcoin as their government have banned bitcoin trading for some time due to this they are not able to do anything in the market.

It's good to see bitcoin price has reached almost 1200 dollars.Nowadays if you notice  you can find out bitcoin price is increasing daily by around 30 to 40 dollars.I am just thinking what will be it's price, by the end of this year? It may cross 5000 dollars definitely, if it's price is increasing at this pace provided if there is no intervention of any governments. And unfortunately it will be the end of all bitcoin faucets.

Lol, when I joined bitcoin, it price was lower than $200 and I didn't had expectations that it will reach even $1000. I'm happy that I wasn't right Cheesy
its really enjoying seeing the price really rising and keep its movements positive for all of us who holding it and from the time being bitcoin are really showing big potentials, you are so lucky to find it as early when the price still cheap if you hold it until now you are enjoying much bigger.
