I think it was so good series because: It’s Visually Stunning, The Writing, also the acting Breaking Bad isn’t all drama and tension all the time. It can actually be really funny. The dynamic between White and Pinkman is funny and bitter in turns. The situations they find themselves, when they’re not desperate or stomach-churning, can be funny in a dark, tense sort of way. For instance, this made me laugh out loud:

I feel that Walt is displaying the classic loss of the ability to reason when exposed to meth. He's not using meth AFAWK but he is certainly exposed to the chemicals every time he does a batch.

What I'm shocked about is Jesse... He started out way more bad in season 1 than he ended up in this season. Perhaps his meth use has helped him be more resistant to exposure to the chemicals of the cook.

They wear protective gear sufficient for a commercial operation. The chemicals wont be affecting them. Walt is displaying the classic loss of the ability to reason when exposed to raw power and after finding that killing people is getting easier with practice.

I totally disagree with you guys:  BB definitely rocks.

Walt's character does absolutely make sense:  he goes from being a humble science teacher who endorses crime only because of his fear of cancer, to being a narcissistic mastermind who wants to build a drug empire just to prove himself that he can achieve what he failed to do earlier in his life in the legit science business.  Walt's not addicted to meth, but he's addicted to adrenalyn and power.  Just remember the "stay out of my territory" scene long ago when he decided to cook again on the parking of a hardware store, and you'll realize this aspect of Walt's personnality was clear right from the start.

Sure, the series had some lows (some of them being due to budget issues), but so far it's been fantastically awesome and this last season is just one of the best of the five.

I'm going to miss Mike. He is a great character, so cool under pressure, so cold hearted. So experienced. That dynamic is going to have to be replaced with something else.

I wish skyler would die. I really don't like that character.

My favorite character is jesse.

It's an awesome show. I don't get AMC so I buy my episodes on amazon.com. Well worth $1.99 a week. (i totally don't believe in TOR downloads when the price is under $3.

AMC has been making some awesome shows. I'm pretty sure i love them all.

Walking Dead - most favorite.
Breaking Bad - Very awesome
Hell On Wheels - good. I hope season 2 is better than season 1.
Justified - This is my numbner 2 show Smiley

I think the whole series so far has been an amazing depiction of how a man can start out being "good" and then through what he thinks are the best of intentions, can become quite evil.

I agree. I also interpret this message as the main "moral of the story" for the series. Most people have a hard time believing or even understanding that we all have this equal capacity for good or evil. Depending on our environment as well as a few bad choices, we could all end up being Walt.

I stopped watching after the second season. All of the characters became unrelatable, and it seemed that the writers ran out of good ideas and started making up nonsense.

The first season was good. Reminds me of Prison Break, which also had a good first season and tons of terrible additional episodes that should not have been made.

This is my feeling as well..... It was great......

Anyways, I also have really started to dislike Walt.  His character has changed so much.  In the first season(s) he seemed wise/desperate/loyal and so many other things, now he is just greedy and potentially insane.

It's the writers intention that you should dislike him. By the end we're meant to not like him at all.

Yeah, some things have seemed "off" about Walt's behavior (doesn't seem to fit with his past, strains credibility), but it could be part of something that will make sense later.  While it may be a little stilted at this point, it does fit with the overall arc of his progression towards the "dark side."

The other characters have been great, and the show overall is still good.  We've got the "semi"-finale coming up!

I don't know why the show didn't end last season - they had the perfect series ending there.

Walt started with lung cancer. Brain cancer isn't "returning". Just shut up and enjoy the show. There's one season left.

Cancer can metastasize
Then the OP should have said that it *spread* to the brain. The cancer is not recurring in the same general area on his body, therefore it is not "returning."
Thanks. I should have consulted an Oncologist before posting.
