See this users trust. And this is exactly why it shouldn't be ok for randomers to offer escrow and should be treated the same as newbs trying to get no colleteral loans. This guy would have took off as soon as he got an amount he liked the look of.

Can a mod close this forum?
Not delete it but... just make it so people can't reply?

Maybe you should wait offering to hold peoples fund untill you know the basic functionality here.
There is in bottom a place you can press "lock topic", press this to prevent any more criticism for your not thought through "service".

Which is why I want to only do small escrows like under 5 dollars, for the time being.
Once I get more trust like you said, I'm gonna start accepting bigger trades.

Thanks for your advice

That's not how it works. You need previous trades and experience and escrows should have earned their trust before they even start not build it as they go along. You could just do loads of small escrows at $5 then as soon as you get an amount you like the look of you take it and run and that's why reputation is important and can only be built over time.

I agree with you.
Am I allowed to keep this post here? I doubt anyone will let me escrow for the time being but, am I allowed to if i do?
I'll probably get more rep on this forum and come back to this post and bump it or something.

Thanks to everyone here!
Yeah, feel free to do that.  But I would recommend that you lock this topic until you feel that you are ready to provide escrow services again - just to prevent random spam other people might post. Wink

Ok, thanks!

I have a few question that needs to be answered:

1. Do you personally guarantee the fund you will be holding?

2. How do you plan to store the escrow funds?

3. If you hold, for example 5 BTC and you get hacked or your keys get lost for whatever reason, will you then pay out of you own money to cover?

4. If you hold a collateral, for example a bitcoin account for a loan and it turns out that the account is stolen while the account is under your control, AND the original owner reclaimed the account and thereby is the collateral lost. The loan is 1 BTC, the account was worth 0.1 BTC. How would you handle this situation?

5. If you hold escrow funds for a trade of goods and the buyer claims he never recived the goods, the seller claims that he have send the goods. How would you handle this situation?

6. Would you give positive trust to the parties involved in the escrow deal?

7. Would you aggree to be escrow for a person who is a known scammer?

8. Would you be IPO escrow for new alt coins with very questionable intentions?

9. Would you be escrow for a signature campaign where the company is advertising a ponzi or scam site?

Thanks.

using an unexperienced escrow can be risky for both seller and buyer, first try to learn how escrow  works and get some reputation

youre correct i doubt youll find anyone on here willing to use your service right now. youre rank is low, you have 0 trust rating, and theres just too many other escrows available here with the experience and trust you lack. one of these days you may have the rep to be this service but for now i think youre gonna be disappointed. sorry man

I do have trust XD, 1 though. It's from monbux a REALLY trusted escrow.
Don't worry about it.
But he hasn't left you any feedback! OP, no rush to become an escrow here! Just stay here longer here and contribute your efforts to our community. One day, you will win our trust and ppl will look for your  escrow service!

Thanks!

You haven't got any trust at all (unless he removed it) but you can't try piggyback off the fact that monbux is really trusted. You need to build up reputation, feedback and trades over time and this isn't the way to do it. You need to be trustworthy and an active member of the community before you even start and neither of which you currently are. In fact, I think this is the first time I've ever seen your name which isn't a good sign. Nobody is going to use you because doing so defeats the purpose of using an escrow and offering such services looks the opppsite of what you are trying to achieve or at the very least is very naive.

Man, I didn't manage to get a single escrow deal

And I'm not a full member, and have lots more feedback Cheesy

I even had green trust when I started the thread, when the default list got edited, I lost my green Sad

It's not the way to do it, an escrow is like a safe, to make sure your coins don't disappear
And storing your bitcoins in an untrusted safe is a bad idea
