From Thomas Paine's "Common Sense":

"Some writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins. Society is produced by our wants, and government by our wickedness; the former promotes our happiness POSITIVELY by uniting our affections, the latter NEGATIVELY by restraining our vices. The one encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions. The first a patron, the last a punisher.

Society in every state is a blessing, but government even in its best state is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one; for when we suffer, or are exposed to the same miseries BY A GOVERNMENT, which we might expect in a country WITHOUT GOVERNMENT, our calamity is heightened by reflecting that we furnish the means by which we suffer."

This paragraph has never been contradicted in any of subsequent years since it was written and published in 1776 Shocked It written after 7 months after the "Revolutionary War", which resulted foundation of USA Grin

Only expect evilness, from all governments everywhere now and forever into the future; only the degree of evilness varies when one government is compared to another government Cheesy

At no point, can any government anywhere be described good, for maths comparing one evil to another evil never equals GOODNESS Wink

encryption is the only protection for privacy left.
It is the only mathematically secure way to guarantee your privacy. However governments should respect your privacy even when encryption is not used

The government thinks you should respect their authority and stop making unreasonable demands about being a private citizen.    Wink

If only there was some sort of constitution written to let us have freedoms hmm...

Oh you mean that piece of paper enshrined behind glass at the National Archives? I think the armed guards are standing by to make it doesn't escape and wreak holy freedom on everybody.

or perhaps another nation that just happens to have oil

Secret US cybersecurity report: encryption vital to protect private data

http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/jan/15/-sp-secret-us-cybersecurity-report-encryption-protect-data-cameron-paris-attacks

<< Newly uncovered Snowden document contrasts with British PM’s vow to crack down on encrypted messaging after Paris attacks.

A secret US cybersecurity report warned that government and private computers were being left vulnerable to online attacks from Russia, China and criminal gangs because encryption technologies were not being implemented fast enough.

The advice, in a newly uncovered five-year forecast written in 2009, contrasts with the pledge made by David Cameron this week to crack down on encryption use by technology companies. >>

David Cameron is a moron, everyone knows economic profits always come first in Western Civilization - this is delivered by developing new knowledge into economic opportunities like the internet.

The secret services across Western Civilization's have gone around putting weakness into every innovation or discovery which would make the internet sector safe for consumers to use.

This has leaked out to the criminals, who have exploited the security services attempt at deliberate sabotage of the internet economic sector's safety protocols, which in turn has damaged the economic profitability of this new economic sector for mankind  Huh

It should be remembered: the masses were given manifest freedoms and fundamental rights because it was discovered that the masses economic productivity was doubled when they experienced freedom, fraternity and liberty in societies.

However, a minority abused these freedoms, fraternity and liberty to commit atrocities against their fellow citizens, instead of banning the source of the economic productivity that was making everyone richer, it was decided that extra expenditures on a professional police services and prisons would be cheaper then sacrificing the extra elevated economic productivity achieved from giving the masses freedom, fraternity and liberty Shocked

Now, we have David Cameron and security services playing out the role of "morons" claiming that killing the chicken that lays the eggs of prosperity is what everyone should accept as the correct choice  Lips sealed

It is not the job of imbecile politicians to sequester ever greater powers to the security services to reduce freedom, fraternity and liberty in Western Civilization. Like the police service, the security services role is mop mess caused when minority in the masses have freedom, fraternity and liberty Tongue A terrorist commit atrocities, government's commit atrocities: one would expect one evil to cancel out the other evil Wink according to the philosopher Thomas Paine. Should it be a case that government cannot cancel out the evil of terrorism, then a cause for the overthrow of a ruling elite becomes apparent to masses in a identical manner to the transparency of ruling elites who cannot deliver ongoing economic prosperity Shocked

They have no justification for seeking to reduce freedom, fraternity and liberty, which are sole reason for Society needing the evil of a professional security service to mop up the tiny mess caused in the masses when fundamental rights are mistakenly seen as excuses to have no morals and ethics in life by minority of men and women Wink

21 minutes and 42seconds into Teksyndicate youtube upload "The Tek 0166: Hackers are Good for the World":

Rant 30: David Cameron is a "donkey" and "retarded" and should be prevented from having children" To late to save the world from another generation of moron Cameron's. LOL

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjzYuYWFDnQ

I laughed quite a bit. Not that I'm bias Wink, you should overlook the fact that I've been blogging for 4 years that "David Cameron is a moron" Grin

When the Yanks start saying the "British Prime Minister is  a moron", you can be certain it's an absolute truth! LOL  Cheesy

The rest of youtube upload makes some very technical and factual points of good merit e.g. 95% of the internet is the "Darkweb".

All the "Darkweb" means: the sum total of internet pages that cannot be accessed through googling or another internet search engine. Nearly all of the Darkweb was created by businesses, universities, government organisations, etc.

Anything, that requires a password to access it pages is part of the "Darkweb", I get the impression a minuscule group of politicians got confused by name and thought it was about those crime websites? LOL

Well the obvious solution to this problem: Sure, encrypt your data to keep it secure from the Big Bad Russians and those Menacing Chinese, but make sure you leave the keys with Benevolent Big Brother so He can keep you safe!

The problem with this is that the technology is there. It is not difficult to get access to things like PGP keychains that essentially allows people to encrypt messages 'manually' without the help of "apps". These kinds of technologies are widespread enough that it is not realistically possible to outright "ban" them nor prevent people from using them

Dodgy Dave isn't the sharpest tool in the box, would be interested to know how he intends to enforce the ban. More hot air from the toff party methinx...

I vividly remember last election the conservative party was pushing for more 'discipline' in schools, that pissed me off, mandatory schooling is fascist enough as it is without more stupidity added to it.
