Sorry to seem stupid, but I am a bit confused. This is what I understand so far. BRK cannot be staked and you need BRX that only Bittrex sells to mint the BRK in wallet. Can someone please confirm that I am correct? Thank you
BRK is staked by BRX

Great to see a lot of progress here and have also sent a pm to Breakout, if you can kindly check it will be nice. I think the developments here are going to make this set of tokens/coin very big in the future. Looking forward to receiving our bounty.  Smiley

I joined the poker site and I notice there is no way to transfer BRK coin to poker site. How do these tournaments work then? Why even bother with coin if you cannot use it on poker site? Seems like bullshit BRK coin if you can't use it on poker games, you promote all this crap and then poker site same as all the others.  A BRK wallet should have been integrated into the actual poker site like the BTC gambling sites.

It's a pity that we are in the 21st century, nearing self driving cars, AI robotics, colonizing Mars, and yet...
Nobody is close to curing stupid...

The poker is still in beta testing and trying to attract users by offering a ton of freerolls paying brk.
The brk will be used in a month once the site switches over.
But don't take my word... It probably is explained better and in greater detail on the first page of the thread. Or on the website.

I read all the info on it and never saw that article about it. But thank you for explaining it to me, but even in beta not hard to integrate a wallet, i have played on many BTC beta poker sites and ALL of em had the wallets on the very first day of beta launch, beta testing just meant the site had glitches which it they all had tons of, but that was to be expected.

Hello again Lucky.  Always a pleasure.

For your elucidation, and that of any other newer members, let me review exactly what BreakoutPoker.NET is all about.

At this time we have launched the free poker site at https://breakoutpoker.net and it offers 100% free poker to members from around the world.  Because it is free we are able to offer promotions and prizes including BRK which we do through specific tournaments happening throughout the day to accommodate members in different time zones.

We intend on launching a real money version of the poker site, along with a full casino and sportsbook, in early fall.  This will include other verticals as well, including a live casino, and both virtual and fantasy sports.  We will also be launching an eSports site in July, (WOW - Today, and on schedule! Smiley) a full digital download game store in August, and both an AI-based poker skill training site and a lottery site in September.  All of our licensed and regulated games will be available for play in legal jurisdictions.

The chips used on the breakoutpoker.NET poker site have no monetary value whatsoever.  This is a legal requirement to ensure that this site is not considered to be a gambling site, which allows us to offer our games to players from the U.S. and most other countries, while still being able to award prizes as we like in most jurisdictions.

To clarify the current free poker site chips further, these chips will not now, or in the future, have any value.  Nor will they be exchangeable for any other types of chips, tokens, prizes, crypto currencies or fiat currencies in any form.  They are, however, available to be used for free tournament entries that award BRK and other prizes as announced.

When we launch our completely separate real money poker site, the new chips in play on that site will have a value that is directly tied into the value of BRK.  Those chips can be considered to be "real money" and will be treated as such.  They have no relationship to the value of chips on the free poker site.

When we open our real money poker room in the fall it will be closed to U.S. players and to players in other countries where we may not have a license, including France, Spain, and several others.  It is our intent, over time, to be licensed in as many jurisdictions as possible.

What we will be offering to Americans are; eSports in most states, fantasy sports in many states, skill games where allowed, a full social casino much like Foxwoods Online or myVEGAS, and of course the current poker room will always be open, free, and still award BRK and other prizes including entry into special events and other benefits.

Thank you for taking the time to explain things to me, this looks fantastic I must say. I hope to see this project succeed  Smiley

So what happened with breakpoutpvp.com launch? - http://www.cbs8.com/story/32456582/breakout-gaming-launches-new-player-vs-player-platform-following-its-cryptocurrency-crowdsale
In my case it is forwarding to this message "Sorry, Gaimerz.com is not currently available in your geographical region."
I'm in USA, by the way

works for me in the USA
Not for me in FL. Could it be it hasn't propagated yet?

why did some players suddenly have numbers at the end of their usernames? do we have to email support about it? i hope it does not affect the payout of the BRK freerolls.

What time is the freeroll on tonight?

brk.breakoutpoker.net then scroll down and click on tourney info tab

Yea I realize that but it is a pain for me to load up the VM on Linux, was hoping to save myself the trouble. Thanks anyways.

The reason for this was recently explained by Breakout Gaming on this thread.  Come to slack.breakoutcoin.com or email [email protected] to have your nickname changed to anything available.

is it a bug after the update?
migrated servers to another with more players. They mentioned if the name was already in database that you may need to create a new one or contact support.

Could anyone guide me on the Linux wallet install code? No info on github, tried using:
chmod 775
chmod +x

But nothing happened. A portable version would be cool. Also a Linux version of the poker software would be nice.

Alongside Breakout Coin is another currency called Breakout Stake (BRX). Breakout Stake owners have the right to validate blocks of Breakout Chain ledger entries. For each block, the validator is permitted to claim a reward for performing the validation.

if i buy BRX and only keep them on exchange like Bittrex, will i be able to get BRK rewards for validating ?

can anyone explain more detail about benefit of buying BRX ? (like how many BRK i will get for keeping a specific amount of BRX)

thanks and sorry for asking too much  Grin

Happy to answer your questions, especially since you asked nicely  Cheesy

You have to keep BRX in your wallet to validate blocks.  Keeping then on exchanges won't allow you to claim rewards.

The supply of BRX is fixed (12.5 M).  After the BRX coin sale is over, all unsold BRK will be provably burned, therefore making the BRX supply even more scarce.

Only BRX can mint more BRK.  BRX does not mint more BRX.

The average time to validate a block with BRX is ~ 12.3 days. Stake Minimum Confirmations: 3456

Edit:  Right now the chain is not moving quickly (not too many people staking BRX or mining SIS)
