What license would it be open sourced under?

There is no need for kickstart or whatever it's called.  Just post on my bounty thread and if enough people commit to the bounty, it will be paid once an open source WebCL miner is available.  Bounties have been done here many times before and work nicely.

No one person has the incentive to pay you 500 BTC to open source your code. But if you set up a project at kickstarter.com and requested $4500, a lot of people might chip in a little.  Then, take your $ and buy BTC.  Better yet, let's get kickstarter to support BTC-based projects.

Any way to run on 64-bit Linux?

It looks like Mac users are also shut out...

Can't wait for OpenCL to mature  Sad

Very interesting.

Combine the client code with a plugin that streams video and earn a dime or two for every 2 hours a client watches. Time to call YouPorn and make a deal.
that sir, is just evil. you and everyone else who knows of this technology should be killed.

I updated kradminer.com with the following:

Open Source

The people demand it! But will they put their Bitcoin where there finger is? I will open source Krad Miner for 500BTC. All BTC above and below this amount fund my continued work on the XMMS2 project (Video) and other projects such as my network FLAC and CELT streaming programs.

Currently its PPS and I will pay out anyone who makes more than .05BTC in 24 hours from now.

In the future I could support several different payout models.

I assume this pays in a PPS manner? What is the payout per share? Does this connect to a specific pool, set of pools, or solo?

damn, it won't be long until this gets embedded onto every website.

Well right now it needs a pretty specific Firefox extension; but as soon as WebCL hits the mainstream browsers release builds - chaos will ensue!
but imagine web-servers, powered ... by client machines/viewers PC's !! Tongue viewers-driven, not by HUGE/expensive server in data-center Tongue
its like trolley-bus'es or electrical trains :-P
cuz there LOT of appliations for both WebCL and OpenCL -)

Thanks.

It should be very possible to match performance of other miners including lag-free options, work in progress.

Good job, I believe we spoke briefly on IRC at the time that you considered to code this Smiley

Very cool to see this progress! Great to know that it'll be tamer in the future -- I think that's one of the keys to making browser-based mining viable.
