I am speculating that $100,000 value per bitcoin is possible in the coming decades but the guy on the article says it can reach hundreds of thousands. Well, everybody has its own opinion towards bitcoin's price in the future but only time can tell what really lies ahead.
And if Bitcoin's value will really reach $100,000 in 2018, then it's time to invest in bitcoin now.

I think this will depend on one thing: Whether or not bitcoin can solve its scaling issues. If it does, 100k will be attained, if it doesn't.. btc risks falling into irrelevancy. 2018 will be a big year for bitcoin, one way or the other.

no i wont think bitcoin can reach that fast in just a year, because it is too much than expectations, investors surely dont want to reach that fast because it it not safe and have high percentage to be dumped in the future.
