If the Chinese New Year is anything close to the New Year that we experience, then we will not see a immediate change. The reason I am saying this is simple, because most people spend too much money in the period before the New Year and then there are very little left for a few weeks after that to spend on Crypto currency investments.

All of us has been there before. You eat expensive food and stay in expensive resorts and when you get back home you have to eat cheap Noodles for the rest of the month, because you over spend during the festive season. ^lol^

I think bitcoin price should grow to at least 11 thousand USD. In the near future expiration dates of futures options,
which were held in January and were exposed at the level of $10000.

My speculation after chinese new year, the price of bitcoin will going down as what like happened last month, if we try to look back last january after new year, the price of bitcoin rapidly decreasing, but this is only my own opinion and speculation, and I have no reliable source about my idea, and I'm hoping that my idea can make people more open minded the reality of bitcoin business. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes I believe the end of chinese new year will lead to a massive bullrun for bitcoin. Some people say the holidays should not impact the price, but in reality you really can see the impact of these holidays on prices.

Well people have been saying the Chinese New Year has dropped btc price for over a month now and the Chinese New Year doesn't start to Feb 14. I've been to china and see how people avoid things that the government doesn't approve of. I brought some western newspapers and no one would look at them, western news is not allowed in china. If the government in china frowns on individuals owning btc I think it will scare of people. Of course I haven't read up on any restriction imposed yet

If it seems like you're always late to the party when the market is swinging, it's because other investors are beating you to the news. After downtrend always come uptrend, who is late for the party will buy again on the top and cry later, its how I see it.
Looks like bitcoin price moving have some similarities with past behavior. In January price always drops, and after the end of Chinese new year prices start to go up again. Close to the summer price is stable more or less, but after the the summer until the end of the year price tend to go up a lot, many times above our expectations.

I don't think the Chinese New Year had anything to do with the bear run so there's no reason it would have something to do with the bull run Cheesy Surely you have some proof besides the usual it's always falling in value in January/February. The majority of BTC is being traded in JPY, even though Hong Kong is still functioning as a trading hub for China. So despite the bans the Chinese are trading, but the Japanese are running the show now. At least that's what it looks like.
TA suggest there will be a breakout but people aren't sure if it will be up or down. One thing is certain, it's going to be soon. I'd give it 2 weeks at the maximum and we'll either go towards 10k or back towards 6k.

Yes we could expect bull run more since no FUD or serious regulations over bitcoin seems to be found nearby. Also many Chinese investors have been selling their bitcoins to celebrate their new year festival which also led to fall in bitcoin price. After new year, they would be starting to buy bitcoins with full speed which would contribute bitcoin to turn to bullish trend.

btc bullrun after chinese new year?

Well, I seriously await the bullrun if it will come anytime soon expected; 2weeks from the Chinese calendar year is end of the month of February. But like someone said, seeing is believing. The market has really been somewhat dry; let the excitement come in quickly!

btc bullrun after chinese new year?

Do you think so? Why is everybody so obsessed with this chinese event? I doubt investors will get money from bitcoin to buy shit for this type of holiday.

Exactly. They have to spend money for a lavish holiday and secure their investment while on vacation that's why they are pulling out the funds.

btc bullrun after chinese new year?

Isn't the end of the Chinese New Year is Friday?

So I guess we just need to wait a little further and see if this theory works or not. Personally, I think it will, but I don't know how much money can flow into the market when the Chinese started to buy bitcoin again. I will assume that if there's a bullrun, I see that it will go and touch $10K.

The question, is it sustainable or not? We have seen bitcoin recovering in a couple of days then dumps occurs. I don't see it sustaining it run. Been fluctuating between $8K-$9K. I hope that if this theory is correct we can break the $9K and then try to test $10K and see how the market will go from there.

I see nothing other than real positive news lately. I mean real news from reliable verifiable sources not just FUD by shit news services that should be fined for publishing crap that is later proven to be false and only FUD.

We should start to ID the news publishers who have published fake / twisted variations on real events.

Their journalism should be the same standard for crypto as for their other stories.

I think that these places publishing FUD should be fined actually for the ruin they have caused many investors.

It's part of the game. whales are also the one funding media services to make a FUD so they can buy in a lower price again after they sold their shares.
